Amnesty International desecrates Cricket world cup
Amnesty International should be aware that as a result of their encouragement & supporting the most dreadful Terrorist Organization, World ever known, there is a possibility of bringing terrorism into sports (while the rest of the World is trying to eradicate this menace). LTTE has proven the World by assassinating World Leaders like Rajeev Ghandhi that they are capable of carrying out massacres anywhere in the World as they wish. If any harm done to the Sri Lankan Squads in Cricket or in any other sport, AI should be prepared to take responsibility.

AI completely bowled
http://www.island.lk/2007/04/07/opinion8.html

Reports are coming from West Indies Cricket venues, about the despicable
stunt planted by the so called Amnesty International (AI) to humiliate Sri
Lanka and the Sri Lankan cricket team. It was reported that AI was
attempting to obtain signatures of the spectators to sign on a soft ball
with a phrase titled "Play by the Rules Sri Lanka". It was also reported
that no one wanted to support AI's stunt and was completely bowled out by
the spectators. This mean, arrogant, disgraceful and prejudicial stunt by
the Amnesty International should not go unchallenged, by any country or any
group of the civilized world. AI should be mindful not to mix up sports with
dirty politics of their kind of double standards of their judgements varying
from wealthy countries to the poor countries. The Sri Lankan community has
completely lost faith in AI and the there is agitation by the Sri Lankans to
ignore the statements by AI on Sri Lankan affairs, hitherto. AIs noble
crusade (if anything is left), has been tarnished by this naïve act.

Amnesty International desecrates Cricket world cup

The Amnesty international has been engaged in cheap propaganda campaign against the SL people and their cricket team to tarnish their good image and thereby to lower the performance of the SL cricketers. As part of its campaign, Amnesty intends to get the celebrities and public to sign foam cricket balls — which symbolise the Cricket World Cup — with the words "Play by the rules" written on it.
