Defeat Terrorism

As the dust settles once again on acts of terrorism emphasizing man's inhumanity to man whether based on Islamic fundamentalism, ethnic hatred, autocratic ambitions for annexation of sovereign territory under the guise of guerilla ideologies of Guevarra , Zapata and the like, many World Leaders have joined hands in condemning the perpetrators of the heinous deeds of the past and present and never has there been a greater fervor towards justice for crimes against humanity than the present. Never has there been a greater call to wipe out terrorism in its entirety as a tribute to all the innocent lives lost and the needless destruction of public and private property where there can be no distinction between those who commit acts of terrorism based upon their interpretation of ideologies. To show leniency towards any form of terrorism would contradict the resolve and ambit of the Coalition Against International Terrorism in its Global Fight to end the scourge that rightly needs to be destroyed.

The USA has after many years experienced the horror which projected "Ground Zero' and the partial decimation of the Pentagon since World War 11, whereas Sri Lanka has had the shockwaves of terrorist attacks reverberating for decades on a regular basis where the count of lives lost and damage to property and places of historical and religious significance has been commonplace. In fact the pain and anguish experienced in both cases together with all other parts of the world whether it be in Africa, Europe, South and Central America, South East Asia or anywhere else on the Planet is identically the same, accompanied by the lamenting and weeping of humanity and huge sentinels of modern construction up in smoke and reduced to rubble based upon the rationale of twisted minds inspired by aberrations of religion in all likelihood, combined with schizophrenia and manic depression as compassion and love has nothing to do with the cruel deeds which motivate terrorism.

The deliberation and resolve of the newly formed Coalition Against International Terrorism headed by the USA, Great Britain, Russia, China, Canada and all NATO Countries finally seems to have instilled a sense of security and protection for all free human beings whose God Given right to freedom and a Peaceful World will be the primary objective and the effort to deliver this right will consist mainly of the drive to eradicate terrorism from the face of the earth. Sri Lanka too has a right to this sense of security and a terrorist free environment for all her sons and daughters and no quarters should be given to the terrorists and their sympathisers still continuing sporadic activities accompanied by loud rhetoric which must be brought to the attention of the Coalition Against International Terrorism while forging ahead with her own relentless pursuit of those who have systematically devastated this fair land of ours.

There however may be a price to pay for freedom where the innocent masses of civilians including women and children are sadly always the first victims in the case of a conflagration between the Coalition Fire Power and the bands of Global Terrorists who have a tendency to use them as shields or bargaining tools and extreme care should be used to ensure their safety in the event of no other alternative to Military Force.
