LTTE Could Never Expect A Mandate Towards Acceptance As Administrative Force Within Sri Lanka!

While the so called political representations of the LTTE continue their innuendos about their legitimacies and claims to various considerations relative to their demands for self governance which they allege is on behalf of the Tamil community there is strong evidence from very reliable sources that the consensus among a greater proportion of the Tamil community have great trepidations about the North and East of Sri Lanka being administered by the LTTE which if evaluated on the simplest of terms equates to the logic that neither do they the Tamil community ever want to be dictated to by unrelenting terrorists condemned around the world whose leader is public enemy No.1 in Sri lanka and India and consequently the claim by the LTTE that they are the sole representatives of the Tamil Community becomes a falsehood which needs to be trashed with no basis for the claims which LTTE politicos such as SPThamilselvam continue to harangue about and while doing so also continue to issue warnings to the Government of Sri Lanka to capitulate to their demands in a somewhat laughable manner!

To add to the chagrin of the LTTE one of India's most respected intellectuals Dr.Subramaniam Swamy head of the Janatha Party has openly called for the banning and proscription of the LTTE's proxy in the Sri Lankan Parliament the Tamil National Alliance who categorically uphold LTTE dogma, on the grounds that if the LTTE as a terrorist group is universally proscribed, it should also follow that any organization which carries their proxies and their standards also supports them hence also needing proscription which leaves the image of the LTTE in shambles and perhaps a reversal of warnings in order to quell the increasing rhetoric of the LTTE which at times waxes monotonous and often falls on deaf ears by virtue of their insignificance in a world which condemns terrorism to its utmost!

There is very little need to analyse or investigate the realities of what the LTTE represent as a group of autocrats led by a megalomaniac whose crimes against two nations which have also filtered into a global liability having pioneered the concept of suicide bombings as well as the devastations over many decades in Sri Lanka which have taken an immeasurable toll on lives and property and for such representation to demand recognition and the granting of administrative authority in their present guise short of being ridiculous is unthinkable and something the Tamil community have begun agitating about with greater intensity than before as the LTTE do not have a stranglehold anymore on their decision making! At long last they have mustered courage enough to stand up to their adversary the mainstream LTTE alondgside the rest of Sri Lanka where freedom is a commodity which will never be compromised through coercion, intimidation or terror and the LTTE definitelty in need of fresh pastures and fresh ideas!

If the Governance of the various districts within Sri Lanka is dependant on the mandate of voters within those districts with particular reference to Batticaloa,Trincomalee and Amparai, a clear message is being sent out by the residents of all these areas that they are vehemently opposed to being under the dictates of Velupillai Prabhakaran(Pirapaharan) and his terrorists under any circumstance and the writing seems to be on the wall that LTTE days are surely numbered! Given the consideration that these areas also have substantial Muslim and Sinhalese residents who at times have been brutalized and displaced bythe most inhumane attrocities of the LTTE, now etched in stone as the legacy handed out at the peak of Sri Lanka's armed insurrection, there remains little doubt that the LTTE could ever claim representation to these areas and that their strategy at best should be one of relenting and muffling their rhetoric in preparation for the eventualities within legal parameters to which they will eventually be subjected to where the people of these areas are no longer inclined towards any further intimidation!

Somewhat coincidentally, in a recent dispatch, US Ambassador at Large J. Cofer Black, the US State Department’s Coordinator for Counter Terrorism, has stated that quote " the LTTE are in the exalted company of the Al Qaeda Organization and the rest of them. It is a bad place to be.” end quote and significantly portrays the revulsion, hatred and contempt the international community with the USA at its helm has against the LTTE beyond questionable definition and offset against any LTTE demands for any recognition which would be totally unacceptable in their present image.

A last ditch LTTE stance has also transpired as a result of the continuing internecine conflict within their rank and file being orchestrated by former LTTE member Col Karuna which the mainstream LTTE have attempted to portray as being instigated by the Government of Sri Lanka towards discrediting Sri Lanka's international image but a vain effort considering the response of the Scandinavian Peace Monitors who have disposed of any Government Forces involvement as alleged and given them clean billing as upholders of the Peace Treaty and Ceasefire which further portrays the desperate stand of the LTTE within Sri Lanka surrounded by the apprehensions and derision of the peace loving people of Sri Lanka from whom the LTTE could hardly expect a mandate towards acceptance as an administrative force ever! This also incorporates a greater proportion of the the Tamil community within Sri Lanka which they profess to represent who mostly want little or nothing to do with them!
