The Only Cautioning Necessary Is Deserving Of The LTTE And Their Parliamentary Proxy The TNA !

The trend of LTTE innuendo, falsification of facts and evidence and gay abandon with which they blatantly express a right to their existence and pursuance of goals and objectives continue in Sri Lanka. Lately their Parliamentary proxy the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) who virtually cheated and intimidated their way into Parliament according to all reports of independent monitors which were apathetically overlooked by the opposition supportive Elections Commisioner have taken up the chorus of arrogance so synonymous with the LTTE and through spokesperson, one Elaventhan with the affront to verbally confront Sri Lanka's acting Minister of Defence and former Premier The Hon. Ratnasiri Wickramanayake in a Tamil media statement which says quote" With regard to the issue of Peace - Government of Sri Lanka should not try to test the patience of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam." end of quote and also an affirmation of the partiality of TNA support for the LTTE which is fast becoming contentious to the majority Sinhala Nation and its supportive minorities.
There should be no prevarications about what the response of the Government should be to this obstreperous and somewhat ignorant statement of an individual whose bona fides towards his position in Parliament is not only questionable but also his transparencies towards open support of the LTTE who are an internationally proscribed and outlawed group of terrorists.

The issue at hand is not the patience of the outlawed LTTE being tested rather than that of the Government of Sri Lanka, a Sovereign DemocraticCountry and part of the Commonwealth of Nations being subjected to ongoing grave provocations through violations of the Peace Process and Ceasefire signed some 2 1/2 years ago where the head count of needless lives lost as a result of blatant LTTE violations has now reached 321 while the rhetoric about the LTTE's rights to continue, which considering their identity, image, objectives and track record, within Sri Lanka are non existent within a normal World Order which does not condone, promote or support terrorism in any form! Proxies take note!

Perhaps this is time appropriate for some serious decision making by the Government to re- evaluate and investigate the TNA's legalities towards Parliamentary representation based on the findings of the European and National Elections Monitors whose reports indicated massive vote rigging, cheating and intimidation during the last Election in their official reports which if proven disentitles them towards any presence in the Parliamentary Process of Sri Lanka which would not only leave the LTTE in limbo but put an end to all the speculations about LTTE ambitions towards penetrating the Core of the Sinhala Heartland through Parliamentary representation by proxy which seems to be more than apparent!

The process required towards such an objective and definitive action may seem detailed and arduous for the Government although in retrospect it may be worthwhile where the TNA have shown their true nature as harbingers of dissentment and civil disobedience which could easily lead towards the incitement of sections of the Tamil minority and augur well towards disentitling an entity which could threaten National Unity and jeapordize the objectives for peace.
The criticism and condemnation of the TNA's attitude based on their so called empathy for a 'Tamil Freedom Struggle" which may in reality constitute stirring up the sentiments of the Tamil Community and create further unrest within the Nation presently moderately tranquil with the exception of surreptitious and clandestine LTTE ceasefire violations, have been widespread, coming from various quarters of opposition to the LTTE as well as from the International Community who have been quick to identify it as provocative and rightly so!

There seems to be a touch of ludicrousness and gramatical impasse towards the metaphorical quotes of the latest TNA rhetoric which says as quoted "Even in death Tamils’ use to rejoice. Never had they feared death. If a War is being launched, they are ready to face it. But there should be peace. Expectations of the Tamils are is for a reasonable solution. Government likes launching of a war. Acting Minister’s speech clearly reflects this." end quote which if objectively interpreted indicates a degree of confusion and a pretentious inability to comprehend the realities of the situation within the LTTE today. One of unrest within the rank and file of the LTTE which the TNA in their feeble and wayward attempt to pacify have resorted to accusations against the Government of Sovereign Sri Lanka thrusting liabilities upon it which in reality belong to the terrorist LTTE and the questionable TNA!!

Somewhere in the inferences of the LTTE and TNA about Government policy a point seems to have been missed whether to suit their own ends or through the inability to comprehend that in the absence of the President from the country, the Minister entrusted with matters of National Defence has every right to oversee the situation in the country towards asserting National Security and in the face of all the latest LTTE attrocities involving murder, suicide bombings and armed confrontations with the Security Forces violating the Cease Fire and Peace Process based upon the excuse of an internecine war with a breakaway faction, and also has every right towards cautioning the LTTE who find it hard to face the reality of their own criminal liability while laying the blame on a very patient and conciliatory Administration.
