Re:War is the
best way to clean up Sri Lanka
Dear Editor, I am replying to the person who recently wrote this letter by firstly criticizing his anonymity and secondly for showing such poor insight into the semantics of the conflict in Sri Lanka while drawing near ignorant analogies to animals in jungles, the breaking down of companies such as Bayer and Mitsubishi in his reference to the 'War In Sri Lanka'and the projected time it will end. Conjecture, frustration and misguided idealogies thrown into a package! Having emigrated to Canada the person further says that his family is safely settled in a land which has no wars but does so without any reference to the problems being created within parts of Canada by some fellow immigrants projecting themselves in a direction that is fast becoming unsafe for the rest of Canada with gang and drug related incidents and involvement in criminal activity together with many other criminal elements within Canada. His utter lack of insight into current world situations relative to armed conflicts perpetrated by terrorists seems rather pathetic and probably needs to be addressed and if he needs to take out his frustrations on a matter far beyond his comprehension, he should do it in a manner which will leave him with a semblance of dignity and not by displaying his ignorance in denigrating the Sri Lankan Government and Her people. He has also commented that LankaWeb should not present information on its website which in his opinion is unworthy of publication which seems rather high handed on his part to make such a comment as it is he who seems to be overstepping the boundaries of democracy with his verbal barrage and petty sarcasm. All in all a sad display of emotions from a rather confused individual who needs to focus his attentions to the realities of terrorism and what it is doing to the world today and if possible consult with the Canadian and Norwegian Authorities who are trying to bring about a settlement to the conflict in Sri Lanka who in recent times have been meeting with the very animals he is refering to, hiding in the jungles of the Wanni.
