Murali has more fire power, where is the media?Rohan Welangoda Sydney, Australia I am writing to express my disappointment about Sri Lankan news papers, especially The Island and Daily News Internet versions, failure to capture this weeks don bradmans comments on murali's action, which was published in various forms of media releases around the world. This is an issue which created lot of bad blood between Sri Lankans and Australians, and Later, threatened to unravel our countries diplomatic relations with Australia. By that time our news papers went on all out offensive against the Australian media and public criticizing their opinion and actions. This issue didn't end there, he was again humiliated in Adelaide. Then again our News papers went on offensive against Australian media and public who stood by these conspirators. If bradmans opinion was published at the time of these incident, it would have helped murali's cause immensely, but it came much later criticizing umpire hair and praising murali's as a cricketer of immense talent and presenting him with a bradman cap. What a honour for murali and Sri Lanka. When bradman's opinion finally arrived, it gave lot of fire power for murali's cause, but our media failed to fire back. They completely lost the plot. I believe, even at a later stage, our so call cricket writers will take note of bradmans comments and use their pens to shed some light over this issue again. Bradmans comments are sure to silence some of his critiques especially Australia's Daily Telegraphs Chief Cricket Writer Mr Robert Cradock, Murali's harshest critiques, who once wrote in an article "anyone who believes murali is not chucking, walk in to your kitchen, grab an orange from your fruit bowl and try to bowl like him". What an advice, I am sure anyone who took his advice was very disappointed, because that what makes this man unique.
