(1)** Minister S.B. Dissanayake is on tape saying that "in a good or bad way PA must win the forth coming election." (on TNL ‘JANAHADA’ at 20:05, 31st JUL). He is also on record saying that they will win the forth coming referendum on the new constitution (01 and 02Aug).
(2)Over 40 PA MP’s booked to stay at the Hotel Taj Samudra(TNL Janahada 03Aug)
(3)Govt./NGO Sponsored "Pavadi Peramuna" headed by Kuburugamuw Vajira Himi is due to organise a pro package sanga meeting in Colombo on the 8th Aug.
(4)PA decision to bring in an amendment to the present (1978) constitution to change the electoral system.(03Aug evening, after the presentation of the new draft constitution).
We have named only a few.
Independent Sinhala organisations are getting together for an unbroken ‘Upawasaya’ from 07Aug to the 09Aug in Colombo against the new constitution. We plead with you to act now!
If you are in Sri Lanka join us in some way. If you are overseas we suggest a protests or Upawasaya in front of the Sri Lanka’s High Commissions or at least petition the government.
