WHO WANTS THE LTTE ?

The LTTE is supposed to be fighting to create a separate homeland for the Tamil people. Prabhakaran has appointed himself as the leader of all the Tamil people without their consent, by consistently killing Tamil leaders who did not agree with him. As can be seen from the recent events in Jaffna, when the LTTE was on the verge of taking over Jaffna, the 500,000 Tamil residents of Jaffna did not lift a finger to help him. Jaffna residents knew what life under Prabhakaran would be like since Jaffna and the North East was under Prabhakaran for 13 years thanks to President Premadasa. The democratically appointed Tamil MPs of Jaffna signed a letter requesting India to give humanitarian aid to the Sri Lanka Army to help them overcome the LTTE (read attached articles). Therefore, Jaffna Tamils presently in Sri Lanka do not want the LTTE.
In the East Coast of Sri Lanka (which the LTTE wants as a part of Eelam), Tamils are a minority. They have been trying to create an artificial majority of Tamils in this area by systematic ethnic cleansing of Sinhalese and Muslim villages in this area. The East Coast Batticoloa Tamils do not want the LTTE in power because they abduct the children (aged 11-13 yrs) of Batticoloa Tamils for the LTTE army. For some reason LTTE do not abduct Jaffna children Their parents are against this. Therefore, no one in the East Coast of Sri Lanka want the LTTE.
Out of a total population of 17 million in the whole of Sri Lanka, the Tamils are about (12%). Out of this figure, only 5% are in the North & East of Sri Lanka. The rest live in the South among the Sinhalese majority. They are obviously finding that they can live among the Sinhalese inspite of the occasional LTTE suicide bomber. They benefit economically and even now wholesale trade and the Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce is dominated by Tamils. They obviously do not want the LTTE.

The Tamil MP's and Tamil intellectuals do not support the LTTE. Amirthalingam, Dr Neelan Tiruchelvam was killed by the LTTE for trying to help the Tamil people. The list of Tamil leaders killed by the LTTE is enormous. They and their families hate the LTTE. The Tamils who work in the plantations sector do not want Eelam as there is no work for them there. Therefore, they do not want the LTTE.
All the countries in the whole world, the Super Powers and India, have categorically stated that they do not want Eelam. Therefore, the whole world fears another monoethnic dictatorship, another Hitler, and do not want the LTTE.

So, if that is the case, who wants the LTTE ?
Tamil refugees who went to the developed countries (Canada, Europe and Australia), after the 1983 riots in Colombo .These riots were orchestrated by the LTTE who wanted the backlash so that Tamils could flee to the developed countries. Tamils got a foothold with aid and citizenship in the developed countries, and some countries like Canada still do not seem to realize the hoax that was pulled on them in 1983. Some of the Tamil migrants are forced to give money to the LTTE, but it is a fact that all of them contribute one way or another to the LTTE coffers. Somehow, the LTTE has managed to emerge as the Godfather of the refugee Tamil. The LTTE abroad is run on the lines of the Mafia. Fund collection with individual cells where each cell is ignorant of the what the others are doing. These Tamil 'economic refugees' want the LTTE.
Tamil doctors in USA who are very wealthy and who want recognition in their community and possible 'senior government posts' if Eelam is created. Tamil doctors in USA want the LTTE.. They are some of the main contributors to the LTTE.
Mr Karunanidhi, Chief Minister of Tamilnadu in India. He is a most confused man - one day he states that he cannot support the LTTE. The next day he supports them passionately. He has vacillated in this manner ever since the recent LTTE onslaught started on the NE of Sri Lanka. Mr K should realize that Sri Lanka Tamils have more rights than Tamils of Tamilnadu under the Indian government. He should realize that Tamilnadu is the homeland of Tamils from the most ancient of times. It is time he took the matter home and ask more rights for the Tamils of Tamilnadu. Call a spade a spade, Mr K, and focus clearly. Mr K wants the LTTE.
Norway - which as a record for treating its own minority Lapp people very badly, is trying to come forward as the negotiators of peace in Sri Lanka. Their real intent is to get their hands on the ilmenite sand of the East Coast of Sri Lanka which is rich in Titanium. Titanium is used in modern technology, notably aircraft manufacture. Norway wants the LTTE, as without the LTTE they cannot be peace brokers.
UK - Wants to help the Tamil people as they imported Tamil labour into Sri Lanka during their 200yr colonial rule in Sri Lanka. Tamil labour worked the British tea plantations. The imported Tamil labour upset the delicate ethnic balance of the island. British used Tamils to divide and rule the island. Now they feel obliged to help Tamils and allow the LTTE to run offices and collect funds in the UK.
Some Christian Church missionaries have found a rich soil in converts of low caste poor Tamils who are ill educated, confused and fearful. These missionaries have found the LTTE very useful in that the LTTE makes the situation so bad that the low caste Tamils turn to the Church for help. Some missionaries like the LTTE. (See letter appended below).
Some NGOs - NGOs get money in their pockets as negotiators and go-betweens. Therefore, the strife in Sri Lanka is money in their pockets. Some NGOs like the LTTE.
Gunrunners, arms dealers and some corrupt government officials - self explanatory ! They like the LTTE.

The reader can see that only a very few wants the LTTE. And most of them will at heart love to see the demise of this dreadful organization which is like Hitler's Third Reich. Furthermore, right from the beginning, the Sri Lanka government and the Buddhist clergy have asked the LTTE to come to the negotiating table and place in writing their grievances. To date, no Tamil has come forward with the grievances. They talk in vague terms such aspirations of the Tamil people and a 'homeland' for the Tamil people (which already exists in Tamilnadu, India).
Mr Karunanidhi, who seems to be another self-appointed spokesman for the Sri Lanka Tamils, says that the 'Tamils of Sri Lanka cannot live with the Sinhalese'. We do not know on what basis he has made this statement unless he is as mad as Prabhakaran. There is a written history going back 2,500 yrs which shows that the Tamils have lived with the Sinhalese inspite of invasions from South India. Even now, with all the fighting going on, the majority of Tamils live with the Sinhalese in the South. Furthermore, if the Tamils diaspora spread over the whole world live in Canada, Europe, Australia etc.eking out a minial livelihood in cultures which are totally alien to them, we do not see why the Tamils cannot live among the Sinhalese who have a Buddhist culture which has been excessively kind to them. They have more rights in Sri Lanka than they do in South India, Canada, Europe, USA, and Australia. In Sri Lanka they have Tamil as a national language in the Constitution of Sri Lanka. They can educate their children in Tamil for free in Government schools. They have free University education, free health services and free food for those who earn below the minimum levels. Perhaps that is why they want to own the whole of Sri Lanka and subjugate the majority community of Sinhalese who comprise over 75% of this island.
The LTTE's achievements for the Tamil people to date is zero. In fact, the Tamils of Sri Lanka have lost a great deal since the LTTE became their Godfather by force. Their hard earned money, their children and families, their integrity and goodwill have surely been systematically and effectively destroyed by the LTTE. The LTTE has forced them live a life of cheat and deceit lying their way through life, forging passports, drug smuggling, prostitution, people smuggling and a host of other questionable activities to provide LTTE's thirst for money and wepons. The LTTE has forced them to live in fear and anger. They do menial jobs abroad. Their children are bereft of the Tamil culture. Just imagine the difference if all the money and manpower from the Tamil people that the LTTE has wasted on a futile war had been used in Tamilnadu and Sri Lanka to develop the skills of Tamil people.
There are many parallels that can be drawn of Prabhakaran with Hitler during the second world war. Hitler pretended to negotiate with Neville Chamberlin and broke his word. He too lied and cheated with his propaganda machine under Goebbels right through the war. He started using children for his army towards the end when all the men had been killed. He also believed in the superiority of the German people over all the rest and carried our systematic ethnic cleaning of the jews on a massive scale. Like Hitler Prabhakaran enjoys torturing his prisoners. According to an article in "Le Point" (attached) Prabhakaran bleeds his prisoners to death in front of him. He apparently gets great enjoyment from it. In the end because Hitler built up his whole Third Reich on a lie it fell down and collapsed. In just the same way Prabhakaran has built up his "cause" based on a huge lie. Therefore it must surely collapse. Nothing can survive unless it is based on the truth.

Conclusion: No negotiation are possible since one cannot negotiate with a mad man. Any government which believes they can negotiate with Prabhakaran are fooling themselves. The only solution we can see to this problem is for all the Tamils who do not wish to live among the Sinhalese to go back to South India and live in Tamilnadu. Most of the Tamils are in fact first or second generation Tamil Nadu citizens who migrated to Sri Lanka for economic benefit. A group who did migrate back are very happy and are doing very well. (See attached article) The majority Tamils who like to live among the Sinhalese are welcome to stay in Sri Lanka and live in peace with us. We are sure that Karunanidhi who loves the Sri Lankan Tamils so much will be happy to accommodate Prabhakaran and his cohorts who can then stop warring and turn their energies to the building up of Tamilnadu. Tamilnadu can also gladly receive the $50 million or so and invest it for Tamil welfare in Tamilnadu. Ofcourse, if there is no war then the money pipeline will dry up for the LTTE. Since India created the LTTE problem in the first place by training the LTTE and creating bases for them and letting them operate freely out of South India they have a huge moral obligation to solve the problem.
