The End of Terror.

I am thirty years old, younger then the LTTE by several years. For a long time I feared that the LTTE might outlive me. I cannot tell you how happy I am that this is not the case. The end of the LTTE is a great day for all the civilized peoples of the world.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is embarrassing to watch Clinton and the EU lecture; while the killing in Afghanistan and Pakistan continues as ‘necessary measures’.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  War is a terrible thing, but I don’t think this could have ended any other way. I pray that the people who have been so concerned with Sri Lanka will not simply wander away because there are no cameras pointed at them anymore.

Politics in the EU and US are often dominated by vocal minoritys. Many Tamils living in the EU and US have been pressuring the governments to condemn the fighting against the LTTE in hopes that a cease fire would be respected that time, unlike the many before it. I think Clinton is attempting to play both sides of the issues. She wishes to avoid looking unconcerned with the fate of the Tamel people and has a dangerous illusion that his you are kind to criminals they will repay you with kindness. Kindness to the unkind is a unkindness to the kind.

Take Care
