SRI LANKA OWNED BUSINESS CHAIN OUTLETS ATTACKED BY SUSPECTED TAMIL TIGER SUPPORTERS IN LONDON

Suspected Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) supporters in London attacked five outlets of a Sri Lankan owned fast food chain called ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-SamƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s ChickenƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚

The owner of the chain Sam Chandrasinha said five of the outlets have been damaged. He said the criminals have caused a damage of about ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚£17,000 to the five outlets.

He said they came in a car, stop the vehicle with ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ running engine, take out bricks from the car and smashed windows and signs of the retail shops. ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-They are cowards. They do not come for a face to face fight. As soon as they smash the glass they run in the waiting car,ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ he said. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The attacks happened at SamƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Chicken outlets at Cricklewood, Kingsbury, Willesden, Sudbury Hill and Wembley Hill all suburbs of London.

When requested the Scotland Yard was able to tell us about only one incident and issued the following statement : ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-We can confirm that we are investigating an allegation of criminal damage at Sam’s Chicken on Kingsbury High Road. The incident is alleged to have occurred at approx 01:00hrs on 20/5/09. The Violent Crime Unit based at Kilburn will be investigating the matter. There have been no arrests. No persons were injured. The venue was closed at the time of the alleged incident Investigations are ongoing.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚
