The struggle to establish Eelam is finally over. We all know that there are no LTTE or Tamil Tiger terrorists in Sri Lanka. The Pro-LTTE web site/s too claims that they have accepted the defeat. The LTTE and Prabhakaran is history.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The President gave the leadership to eradicate terrorism in Sri Lanka. As we all know any task of this nature cannot be won alone. Therefore in my opinion the credit to be shared. The hard work was put in by the H.E. President Mahinda Rajapaksha and his team. We cannot forget the Commanders of forces and the IGP. The leadership they gave to their respective battalions should be highly commended. We had the commanders which we never had before with their knowledge and the strategy.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The wider opinion is that the President established along with Rajapaksha Bros, brought light to this Island nation. Therefore we must look at positively rather than any negativism.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Let’s not talk about LTTE or Prabhakaran in the future and media should not gain unwanted publicity by doing so.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ We as a battered nation should look what we should do to make the country prosper. As we all know the economy of the county is in shambles. We have a Government with extraordinary capabilities and capacities, we have private sector with immense potential with highly educated and professionals and we have one community as Sri Lankans in an island where resources are immense, therefore we should all activate to make it happen.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The world is in recession and all develop countries are looking at Asia as key i.e., China, India and Far East Malaysia, and with the current improvement Sri Lanka.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The government needs to look at foreign investment and develop the island nation not only Colombo but entire country. By doing so we will eliminate poverty and future terrorism.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The jubilant countrymen have celebrated the victory. Now it’s time to give leadership to development of the country. The wider opinion is as H.E. the President gave the leadership to win the war against terrorist, he should give leadership to win the economic war too. He should empower demarcated tasks to his member cabinet and look at with performance appraisals. These should be review annually or bi-annually. The performers to be rewarded and others should be shown the door. Ultimately it is hard earn tax payers money which they all live on.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ At present all will want to join the cabinet ruling party or other wise. The wider opinion is to have the best and run the country with capable people and control them at a cost. The rotten eggs to be taken out. This is the time to practice ” Do or Depart” method to benefit the vast majority.
