DAYA MASTER GIVES A VOLUNTARY CONFESSION BEFORE A COLOMBO MAGISTRATE

Daya Master alias Velaudan Dayanidhi , former media coordinator of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) has made three hour long voluntary confession before a Colombo magistrate revealing important information, sources in Colombo said.
The Confession not open to the public was done in the magisterial chambers of Magistrate Nishantha Hapuarachchi and was recorded.
There was wide spread speculation in the city of Colombo that Daya Master was going to name names of Colombo “journalists” who were on the payroll of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) The speculations were generated after a TV reporter asked about such people from Inspector General of Police Jayantha Wickramaratne in a television interview of the state owned ITN.
The police chief accepted that there had been such people on the payroll of the LTTE and most of the people were Sinhalese. He said he was ashamed of them for betraying the noble profession and their motherland for money and other benefits like fully funded foreign trips. He said some have left the country falsely accusing the government of threats against their lives. In fact, the police chief said they were scared of what was coming and afraid of the law and that was why they left.
After the statement recorded Daya Master was taken back to the detention centre.

Journalists who Publish false information should be treated as criminals and prosecuted to the full extent of the law as they do this misrepresentation of facts maliciously to hurt the Sri Lankan people. They are either in the pay of the LTTE or INGOs’. They do not deserve any special treatment and International Human rights and Journalistic groups should be kept out of the country and not allowed to interfere in the legal process. We still have many traitors to weed out before real peace can be achieved.
