<description>This artice by Mr. S. Akurugoda, Melbourne, Australia is very intersting. Like he says most politicians talk of implementing the 13th. amendment to the constitution without realising it&#039;s implications. Our President who has done very well against the LTTE Terrorists should take the time to study the 13th. amendment in great detail and the dangers it presents to the gains of the hard won war against Terrorism. What we need in Sri Lanka is a Unitary State with equal rights to every Sri Lankan Citizen. We do not have to go into ethnicity, caste creed etc. The term Sri Lankan is a good enough Term for all Citizens. Everybody should have an equal right to live anywhere in the country where he or she chooses and practice whatever faith he or she belongs to. English, Sinhalese and Tamil should be taught to every student. This should end discrimination and foster Harmony among the many diverse races of citizens in the country. In the 21st century a lot of inter marriage take place and it is good for the country.
