13th amendment is the end of the road for the Sinhalese in Sri Lanka

Paul Harris pointed out the irreversible division of the country, way back, when the well known fool, RW was running the country. The Govt of RW, in a typical fashion of shooting the messenger, instead of listening to him, deported him! It is sad that the Govt. want to implement the great land give away initiated by the biggest fool and traitor of Sri Lanka, even after winning the war. Our soldiers had to put up a very brave fight at the risk of losing their lives and limbs to take back the illegally granted land. This land now should not be given back to potential racists to create mini Eelams.

From recent election results, we could see that LTTE sympathizers could get into power. Even non racist politicians may play the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”race cardƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, as has happened all over the world, to get into power. In such a situation, it would appear that the sleeping Sinhalese, who allowed two thirds of the coastline to be under the control of terrorists are now ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ getting ready to perform “Hara Kiri “!!!

As the President said, responsibility of protecting Sri Lanka, the only homeland of the Sinhalese, fall on all and they should not remain idle, passive observers, when we are about to loose our home land. It is the duty of everyone to lobby to prevent this ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Hara KiriƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. As for Tamils, they are members of the Sri Lankan family and should have the same rights as family members.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Realist, ref: http://www.lankaweb.com/news/items/2009/08/12/13th-amendment-a-lesson-from-basque-separatist/,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ gives the true nature of the 13th amendment as: ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”It is an illegal document signed under the pressure of Indian invasion by a spineless traitor, legitimised by an illegal parliament held to ransom by the traitor who had resignation letters of the government MPs with which he threatened them. This piece of legislations handed over Sinhala land to a so called Tamil homeland and foisted on the people another group of parasitic politicians which the country cannot afford. One must not forget of course that 70,000 brave Sinhala youth gave there life fighting against it. The amendment is illegal and hence must be abolished or held to a referendum.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The overseas structures of the LTTE remain intact and are as strong as ever. The LTTE continues to enjoy support and influence among substantial sections of the Sri Lankan Tamil Diaspora. In such a situation, it is foolish and dangerous for Sri Lanka to have administrative structures that could be hijacked by racists and tribal minded Tamils with a Chola mindset. Any race based devolution of power would, without a shadow of doubt, lead to mini Eelams and then to the end of the only homeland for the Sinhalese.

Tamils are part of the human and Sri Lankan family and should be treated as such without facilitating the growth of tribalism.. Recognising that we are part of the same family has to be done by both Sinhalese, Tamils and all living in Sri Lanka. The President said, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-It is the responsibility of all to protect this country and not that of a single individual or a party. Political parties and the people are vested with this task.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. All should voice their opinion, when there is a serious threat to Sri Lanka, and prevent the implementation of the 13th amendment, Masses should be mobilized to stop the implementation of the illegal, unfair, unjust and immoralƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  accord and the 13th amendment, that was imposed on us by a foreign military power. If we have any dignity and self respect we would not implement the racist and unfair 13th amendment..

Media has reported that The LTTE could be attempting to revive the organisation amid efforts by the defeated terror group to rescue hardcore cadres housed in government-run refugees camps for Tamil civilians. In such a situation it would be deadly for Sri Lanka to devolve power.

What is needed now is to identify the potential hazards, without implementing a foreign sponsored, illegal, immoral and fraudulent 13th ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ amendment.

Media articles indicate alleged spying and working for LTTEƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  by Government agents and doctors and educationalistsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  ref: Top Govt. officials spied for Tigers – Recently captured top level cadres revealƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  ref:ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  http://www.amarasara.info/hotnews/20090802-01.htm#Top-Govt

The Sri Lankan politicians and even the people have such a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”frogs in the wellƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ attitude that they do not appear to take into account of the financial, political power and theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  DECLARED SERIOUS THREATƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  to Sri Lanka from Tamil Nadu and global Tamils. The Indian Politicians, if they can hold their nerve, from the pressure exerted to them fromƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  RAW and Tamil Nadu, may not be harmful to Sri Lanka. The threat isƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  from racist Tamil Nadu politicians and GlobalƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  racist Tamils. When a real threat exist, then we should not bury our head ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ in the sand and pretend that a threat does not exist.

The Sinhala Taliban assist the overseas enemies by making the Sinhalese passive and pacifists by taking action such as preventing temples serving fish meals.

It is well known that consumption of oily fish improve ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”brain powerƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ and is also good for the heart. As for brain power, the Japanese and Koreans are examples of the progress made by fish eating nations. When the Sinhalese need to be nurtured as warriors to fend off racist Tamils, the Sinhala Taliban attempt to make them humble, passive passifists, making them easy targets. As the experience of native Americans shows, all the passive ands pacifist ethnic groups got wiped out by aggressive Europeans. Even the passive Budhists in India got completely wiped out. Being too passive is not the path for survival. Yet our Sinhala Taliban never seem to learn from history or fromƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  global affairs.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Indeed if power is devolved, most of the coastline and also the land mass has the potential of being under the control of Tamil racists. This of course is extreme injustice to the Sinhalese. I am in no way suggesting that all Tamils are racists. I am only saying that there would be a mechanism for Tamil racists to grab power, if the 13th amendment is implemented. If Sinhalayas have any sense and not ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”ModayasƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, this mechanism must not be put in place.

I am clearly stating that all Sari Lankans should have human rights and all should have justice and fair play. What Sri Lanka needs is empower people so that each person/citizen achieves his or her personal and family aspirations in a system of fairness and equal opportunity within a democratic framework.

The danger is powerful and rich foreign Tamils, with empire building in mind, will buy off theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  local Tamils.

A simple analysis would indicate that the vast majority ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ of SinhaleseƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  are poor. It may very well be the case that the disadvantages may have been caused by the system that favoured the rich, whether they are Sinhalese, Tamil or Muslim.

What is needed is justice and fair play for all and not division of the country based on race.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ If we stand together, united, under ONE flag, as Sri Lankans, we will surely stand up and stand out and flourish. It is desperately important that those who live here today should recognize their contribution and should be proud of it not as an exclusive, superior or separate entity, but as ONE thread in the pattern we are striving so hard to weaveƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Ack. J.B. Muller.

One Response to “13th amendment is the end of the road for the Sinhalese in Sri Lanka”

  1. PRIYAN WIJEYERATNE Says:

I agree 100% with you. Sri Lanka does not need as many Provinces as we have now. We need much less. It is smaller than Tasmania. Tamil diaspora and Tigers in IDP camps would destroy our last hope, if we go ahead with 13A. Recent election is a clear indication. You will be wrestling Tigers in you back yard, if you implement 13A. Say No to 13A.
