Dr.Levins T C Rajaratnam has been receiving threatening callsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  originating from an Eelam Tamil political Party led by an unpatriotic ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ bandit Politician from various numbers all of which was given in an official complaint to the Police. On a previous occasion aƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  woman was apprehended by the Police early this year whenƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Tamil Militant Politician from Jaffna got her released within a few hours. This Politician and his bandits attacked the election campaign officeƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ of Dr.RajaratnamƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  and his motherƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s residence when he contested the Western Provincial Council elections . The whole episode was telecast on Sirasa, Sakthi and MTV news.

The threats continueƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ by undisclosed telephones. IOt is trite learningƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  thatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ this ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ bandit who escaped from Prison in the 1980ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s and later wore a mask of democracy never changed his criminal activities and thatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  it is a pity this bandit and his comrades enjoy the perks of democracy and that no intellectual decent tamil would return to Sri Lanka and that too Jaffna as long as this man exists. It is trite learning that this criminal is an unpatriotic element who not only had ties with the LTTE but was responsible for heinous crimes with dramatic acts to make insinuations that his life was under threat by the LTTE. He had close links with a Priest who is under arrest for child abuse and sexual assault and each of them had been fugitives to each other.

The US State Department Report too describes this manƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s conductƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  and general disposition. The agony of the situation is Dr.Rajaratnam has been an SLFPƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢erƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  since his University days. His father was an SLFP nominated member of Parliament whereas this criminal was a nephew ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  a man who wasƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ well looked after ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ by the Jayewardene regime, escaped from Prison, took shelter inƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ a ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Church in Wellawatte under the patronage of the Priest who is now in custody. This man exploited successive Governments and his criminal records and violent temper is known all over the world.

In other parts of the world, such a criminal would have been apprehended and tried in a Court of Law. Can the threats made to the Editor of the Sri Lanka Patriot be ignored by the Law enforcing Authorities.

Dr.Rajaratnam has advocated and supported this Government whilst a Tamil bandit desecrates his reputation and dignity by resorting to violence and threats.
