Pro-Tamil Tigers British parliamentarian Keith Vaz is facing the greatest danger to his political career, the Daily Telegraph reported.

In an anti-sleaze movement certain British political elements are organizing to put up single candidates against politicians such as Keith Vaz, the newspaper said.

ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Anti-sleaze candidates could pose a serious threat to Alan Duncan who was sacked from the shadow cabinet and Keith Vaz the former Europe Minister at the next general election,ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚the Daily Telegraph said.

ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-The Daily Telegraph has learnt that several individuals have come forward in Leicestershire, where both men are MPƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s to try to coordinate a campaign against them,ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚the newspaper added.

The Daily Telegraph said discreet discussions are being held with the main political parties to try to persuade them to withdraw their candidates to allow independents to have a clear run against Mr. Vaz and Mr. Duncan.

In the past such arrangements have succeeded in defeating targeted politicians like in the case of former Minister Neil Hamilton from a constituency considered very safe for him.

The Telegraph said the threat of an independent taking on Vaz will be viewed with alarm at the labour headquarters.

Labour Party MP Vaz who is also chairman of the Home Affairs Select Committee claimed thousands of Pounds in expenses from a Westminster flat despite his familyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s house being located 12 miles from parliament misusing a privilege given to parliamentarians living faraway from the parliament. At the last election his majority was 16,000.

Vaz became a champion campaigner for the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) causes and his opponents charged that he had been on the payroll of the Tamil terrorists.
