ICG comments US Senate report on Sri Lanka

I am referring to the report with the title ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Senior HRW, ICG staff slam US Senate reportƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ that appeared on the TamilNet on Friday, 11 December 2009.

The US Senate report on Sri Lanka, now shows that USA is now getting a balanced view on Sri Lanka and is able to filter out, to a certain degree, the influence of LTTE agents.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ICG has to be given credit for understanding the link between bogus refugees and funding of the terror war in Sri Lanka.

How ever, on many occasions ICG reports were merely regurgitation of LTTE propaganda. The whole of Sri Lanka, including the North were the home of the Sinhalese, before they were driven out from these areas by invading Tamils from South India, who destroyed the irrigation system of the Sinhalese. ICG published a map of Sri Lanka, which was merely a reproduction of a LTTE map.

In order to solve a problem, it is essential to understand the problem. ICG does not understand that the crisis in Sri Lanka was precipitated by racist Tamils, attempting to carve out a part of Sri Lanka for a Tamil empire.

As shown previously that ICG reports on Sri Lanka are incredibly shoddy, ill-informed piece of work that grossly understate the effect on terrorism and woefully overstates the degree of abuses carried out by the government there.

It appears that the people at ICG who write reports on Sri Lanka either donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t know anything about Sri Lanka or influenced by LTTE agents.

However what is absolutely clear is that ICG do not know or understand the terms data integrity, accuracy, authenticity, reliability and so. They are good at simply parroting LTTE propaganda, .as it does not take any mental effort

I could summarise ICGƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s credibility by saying that they cannot even resolve organising a piss-up in a brewery, let alone resolving a crisis in the world.

As for HRW most in Sri Lanka are aware that HRW are clueless about the situation in Sri Lanka and they earn their living on human misery.
