The video clip that was in the hands of Mr Philip Alston shows a man in Sri Lankan army uniform shooting a man at point blank range and 8 more dead bodies in a field nearby.

There are five possibilities/options

1. Victims Tamil and the man a GOSL soldier

2. The victims may also be Sinhalese and the shooter an LTTE man

3. The victims may be Tamils opposed to LTTE, and the man in Uniform an LTTE fighter

4. Victims and LTTE man are all actors,

5. Moving images produced with the aid of computer hardware and software

We cannot say with certainty, which case is true unless authentic, definite evidence is available, supporting the case. Without definitive evidence, there is no case to answer.

Sri Lankans are most disturbed that the army that defeated empire building effort of Tamil Tiger terrorism, that made life unbearable to Sri Lankans, funded mainly from Western countries is discredited by false accusations. Remember that USA neutralized empire building efforts of Japan using nuclear bombs.

It appears that Philip had a preconceived biased view, with a hidden agenda and mission to harass Sri Lanka , from the manner in which he by passed traditional protocols and called media events, supporting option 1

By watching a video, we cannot jump to a conclusions, as it is possible, with computer generated imaging and frame by frame video and sound editing, to create moving images that look real as in the case of Avtar, Harry Potter and Lord of the rings movies.

LTTE has produced manipulated images in the past to deceive the public.

As LTTE men on a number of previous occasions, eg Anuradhapura Air base attack., dressed up in GOSL uniforms for deception, deception by LTTE in this case is a good possibility.

Clearly it is incorrect to assume that the victims were Tamils and the person shooting, is a GOSL soldier, as it is possible that a LTTE man dressed as a soldier could have killed either Tamil dissidents or Sinhalese victims.

It appears that, by holding media events, Philip jumped to the conclusion that the man in uniform was a GOSL soldier. This clearly shows that Philip is biased against Sri Lanka. Any unbiased person would have looked for more conclusive evidence.

There are a number of serious inconsistencies as admitted by Philip himself.

Problems with the tape are:

1. Soldiers not identified

2. Place not identified

3. When the event took place not identified

4. victims not identified

It would have been easy for the supplier of the video to provide the above mentioned information.. If this info was supplied, then it would be easy to prove or disprove the authenticity of the tape. As this information was not supplied, it is likely the events shown in the clip is not related to actions by GOSL soldiers. Even to comment on the quality of the video clip, one must know the type of mobile phone camera that was used, as the quality of mobile phone cameras appear to increase all the time. It is reasonable to ask if this type of mobile phone, capable of taking videos was available in Sri Lanka at the time of alleged event ? Without knowing answers, it is a wild guess to talk of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”genuineƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ or otherwise.

The incident was filmed last January (Ch. 4 clip), so clearly the alleged incident took place last January.

Sri Lankan investigators have shown that:
Clip was not taken on a mobile phone
Poor dubbing

The words of those speaking Sinhala is completely nonsensical garbage. If the tape was genuine, at least some of the words would have had a meaning!

Philip has commented on ballistics and body movements etc. The body movements, ballistics etc, whether consistent or not does not link to a Sri Lankan Soldier. It would link to some one dressed like a GOSL soldier. It could be anyone. This idiot Phlip still does not get it that any one can dress up like a Sri Lankan Soldier.

We have to bear in mind that with computer based image processing, it may be possible to imitate reality. Again this matter need to be resolved by image processing experts.

Unexplained elements in the video clip

a) date mismatch

b) unexplained frames at the end of the footage

c) body movements of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”dead bodiesƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢

The above are clearly tell tale signs that indicate something is wrong with the video clip. There are other tell tale signs that the video is a fake, such as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-

The clip shows that the victims have a fair skin that indicates the possibility that the victims are Sinhalese. Tamils usually have a darker skin , which again casts doubts on the video. Face of the shooter is not shown and without identification of the shooter, the whole incident is for defamation of Sri Lanka, ego boosting trip for Philip, and to increase Channel 4 viewing figures.

Now Philip does the classic mistake of picking only the facts or evidence that fit his biased views and theory rather than have an open mind and arrive at the truth.

He surely cannot ignore the above, unless he is biased and made up his mind already.

If the video was genuine, there is absolutely no reason for the unexplained a, b and c above. Points a, b and c above are indeed the tell tale sign that expose a fake or doctored video..

Any one who has dabbled with video editing will know that frame by frame editing can be carried out to have the desired effect. In fact with the money and the technical knowhow available to LTTE, frame by frame editing to obtain the desired visual effects cannot be ruled out. In fact the delay between the time the alleged event occurred and the time the clip was given to Channel 4 indicate that some video editing may have taken place. The other significant fact is the time on video clip, July is the same as the arrival time of the Journalists ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”in Germany. Did they film the fake in July and go to Germany for editing ?

The fact is that Si Lankan Government liberated Sri Lanka from the grip of terrorism that terrorised Lanka for over three decades, haemorrhaged Sri Lanka and ruined the economy.

The funding for terrorism originated in Western countries, the same countries that now shout about human rights, the very same countries that produced two world wars, created and used weapons of mass destruction including nuclear weapons, the same countries that invaded, raped Asian countries and killed mercilessly the natives of those countries, the soldiers of the very same countries that carried out incidents at My lai, Abu Gharaib, River side killings and so on..

Sri Lanka is clearly was a victim of terrorism.

Clearly by hounding Sri Lanka, and doing nothing against the perpatrators of executions on a massive scale, Philip has shown his lack of judgement.

On the basis of above, it is fully justifiable to call him and identify him as an idiot due to his lack of judgement.

Further, the number of deaths is the video clip is tiny compared to the unjustifiable deaths of civilians, (over a million) in Iran and Afganistan and this idiot does not even appear to have a sense of proportion. Sri Lanka lbierated itself from racist Tamil empire building, whilst Western countries invaded Iraq for oil (Greenspan), killing millions. By attempting to frame Lanka, this idiot Philip has shown that he has no perspective, no sense of right or wrong, no morality. He has shown that he is simply a revenge seeking idiot, full of ego and self importance by not taking action against imperialist countries, mostly white, and attempting to take action against a small Asian country, it is justifiable to say that he is a racist.

It is fully justifiable to say that Philip is a racist idiot, full of self importance and ego.

What is not appropriate to say is that Phlip is a racist idiotic Wanker, as some suspect a Tamil special services agent stroke him.

The speed at which he attempted to bring charges against Sri Lanka, he behaved like a man deprived of sex seeking instant self gratification.

Clearly many feel that he has brought the UN to disrepute and he should take the honourable way out, just like Arbour did.

It would e utterly foolish for Sri Lanka or UN to waste their time and money just to boost the ego of this racist idiot Philip, when time and money could be used more gainfully.

I feel I have spent my time (unpaid) to defend Sri Lanka, whilst Philip has wasted UN money in defending terrorists., to boost his ego and self importance and perhaps increase Channel 4 ratings.

If Philip cannot definitely prove, without a shadow of doubt, that the victims are Tamils and soldiers are Sri Lankan Army, then thereƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s no case to answer. Even now there are enough unexplained things to doubt the integrity, accuracy and validity of the evidence.

We can only conclude that it is the usual hypocrisy of the western powers that invade countries at will to grab depleting resources, throwing all conventions and rules by the way side.

Why is no action taken on the Goldstone report ? Why is Alston stirring the pot against Sri Lanka on flimsy evidence. Is Philip a racist idiot ?

Come up with some decent evidence, then Philip will not be called an idiot, but right now, you have no credible evidence, and people are entitled to call you an idiot, because of poor judgement.

Before any investigation is carried out on Sri Lanka, UN should investigate if Philip is a racist. And is a suitable person to work for the UN
