No-nonsense national security is overwhelming government priority this week

The presidential election campaigns that just-ended had a few defining moments. Though the likely result of the election was largely determined at the very moment the common candidate announced his ridiculous decision that he wanted to be king, the peopleƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s resolve was sealed when it was announced that he was going to be sponsored by the US and Norwegian embassies. The last nail in the coffin was the formation of the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”rogues allianceƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ of Ranil Wickremesinghe, Mangala Samaraweera and Somawansa Amersinghe to manage his ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”campaignƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ That was until the never-ending series of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”campaignƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ faux pas and other howlers that kept flowing, reminding us of the misadventures of The Bull Boys, in the novel by R. F. Delderfield that formed the basis of the film ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Carry On SergeantƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢: Ranil Wickremesinghe the hypochondriac recruit, Mangala Samaraweera the intellectually superior member of the platoon, and Somawansa Amerasinghe playing himself!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The other noteworthy feature of the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”campaignƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ farce was the intended ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”assistanceƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ (based on dishonest, worn-out US provided strategies) being provided desperately by the usual suspects such as the cult at the Sunday Leader, Jehan Perera, Pakyasothy Saravanamuttu and a few others. They were not faring any better in their attempts to fool the Sri Lankan people. In fact Pawnseka did not need any adversaries with ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”friendsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ like Frederica Jansz and Ranil Wickremesinghe devising his strategies!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ All in all, the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”campaignƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ of the Pawnseka team, apparently formally supported by the Sunday Leader management, (while drooling over state media support to his opposition!) proved the adage that ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”For real bona fide stupidity, nothin’ can beat teamworkƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ In the middle of the shenanigans taking place in Sri Lanka, a relatively minor act of attempted deceit in cyberspace, also ran in to some problems. The incident relates to a post, a brazen lie by the Colombo desk of the Zionist newswire Agence France-Presse (AFP), titled ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Sri Lanka’s ex-army chief gains poll edgeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, on the presumptuously named, forlorn website ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”The Lanka AcademicƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢; the report was an outright lie based on PawnsekaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s signing of the Pact with the TNA, dressed up as a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”poll edgeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ to take the heat off the adverse results of an opinion poll released on 6 January 2010.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ In a delightful display of vigilante ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”traffic policingƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ on the Information Super Highway, a reader named ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”LiliputƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ responded thus: ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-If elections can be won by sheer propaganda then Sarath Fonseka is miles ahead. Sadly, the reality is different. Look who are going “Kade” for opposition, AFP, Reuters, BBC Sinhala service, Sri Lanka Guardian etc. All these people are depending on foreign dollars. Even Tamil separatist’s propaganda mouth piece Tamilnet is washing Fonseka’s dirty clothes these days!! One gigantic blunder all these pathetic propagandists making is that Sinhala votes will be divided equally so the minority votes will carry the day. However, exact opposite is true. Allegiance of minority parties are equally divided between two main contenders wheras Sinhala votes going to split around 70% to 30% in favour of President as indicated by the University opinion pollƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚- (and Liliput gives the reference to the poll results).

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Thank God for ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”LiliputƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢; in all honesty, this writer couldnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t have conveyed the message as effectively as that!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ After launching an ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”investigationƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ in to the source of the excreta that is dirtying the Highway, it was discovered that it emanated from the desk of a crook named Amal Jayasinghe who is doing the dirty work in Colombo for the AFP. Now, knowing that this low-life could be a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”friendƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ or acquaintance of friends in Colombo, one still has to expose his criminal misrepresentation of facts on Sri Lanka, and President Rajapakse in particular, to the world.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The scientifically-conducted survey results that forms the basis of JayasingheƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s shameless lie were announced by an academic named Dr K. Karunathilake of Social Science Department of Kelaniya University. Dr KarunatilakeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s poll involved a sample size of 10,225 and its reliability has not been questioned by any one.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The poll indicated that President Mahinda Rajapaksa won 62.53% of popular support compared to 29.12% of the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”commonƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ candidate. In addition, 86% of the polled have had the view that President Rajapaksa is the only trusted leader at the moment. The poll showed that Rajapaksa led in all provinces other than the Tamil-dominated north and multi-racial east, enjoying a 12 per cent lead in the island as a whole. It also showed that Rajapaksa led among the majority Sinhalese population, Sinhalese Christians, Muslim, and Tamils of Indian origin; in short, the likely result of the election, as things stood on 13 January, was not in any doubt. But it appears that Jayasinghe has decided that facts of this nature, no matter how true or conclusive they could be, have to be sacrificed in the greedy pursuit of the dollar.

Jayasinghe continues to lie in another piece (of excreta) titled ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Tense peace reigns as Sri Lanka heads to pollsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, datelined 24 January. He writes: ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-there are no reliable opinion polls in the country and political observers say the election is too close to callƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. He goes on, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-There is tension in Colombo, however, after Fonseka warned Saturday of violence and vote-rigging amid claims from the opposition that the army might stage a coup in support of Rajapakse if the president losesƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. Pile it up!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ He refers to President Rajapakse as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”a nationalistƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ from the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”majority Sinhalese ethnic groupƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, and to Fonseka, as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-whose popularity and influence also rose with the military victory, dashing Rajapakse’s hopes of an easy ride back to powerƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. He also quotes the discredited, Gordon Weiss generated ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”7,000 civilian deathsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ as UN figures.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Jayasinghe makes it a point to repeat the usual chants of whom he describes as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Rights groupsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚, of President Rajapakse ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”stifling free speech, perverting the judiciary and encouraging corruption through his network of family members in key government positionsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. He must be living in another country!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Then Jayasinghe breaks the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”newsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ that ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Rajapakse was also widely criticised by European countries, the US and the UN for holding 300,000 Tamil civilians in restricted camps until the end of last yearƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. Now he has got us ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”reallyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ worried!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ This kind of reporting is clearly outside acceptable standards of journalism, even of the international conspiracy of western ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”newswireƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ services. They choose and distort news to suit their grand strategy of creating chaos in poor countries, in addition to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”manufacturingƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ news and loading the so-called news reports with opinions, as Jayasinghe has done here.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The conspirators prefer to deploy low-life of the ilk of Amal Jayasinghe who can be portrayed as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”localsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, rather than a pale-skinned spy who may have credibility issues and may be exposed to the wrath of the people being lied about. It is people like Amal Jayasinghe the conspirators will deploy to accelerate their campaign of lies about election impropriety, vote-rigging, use of government resources and violence, to incite unrest in the country. The few days after the end of the election will be the crucial period.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The government must not accept any risks to the security of the country and its people, and must act early to crush any attempts to contest the majority decision or to demonstrate against the government. All resources of the armed forces and the Police need to be deployed to keep the streets safe and maintain law and order threats arising from unsubstantiated allegations of election impropriety. This needs to be the first priority of the government this week.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The US and British led conspirators and their local collaborators failed in undermining peopleƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s choice in the last twelve months in Iran, and in Xinjiang. The ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”orange revolutionƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ in the Ukraine has just been reversed through a democraticlly held election, with the US agent polling only 5%.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The conspirators should be crushed, without mercy, in Sri Lanka so that the evil of creating chaos exploiting the election processes in target countries is prevented from further spread. Our people deserve peace and security.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Down with Pawnseka!

Hi Ajit, your article obviously sent ‘Jayawardena’ into ‘ga ga mode’! No doubt its contents touched a raw nerve of the poor guy and hope it did the same to other Pawnseka supporters.

It is seen very clearly SF’s campaign is driven by LTTE methods. Lying and misinforming people have been thier game. They are sure getting adice from LTTE. They will try to do violance pretending to be MR supporters. They will vedio them and show the world MR supporters are doing them.
SF and his campaign knows they are goping to LOOSE. They must be getting ready to tarnish the victory of MR. Victory to SL , victory to patriots, for One undevided prosporous SL,victory to MR.

Sri Lankans today are of two types. There are no real ethnic minorities as the country is a multi Cultural, multi ethnic, multi religious (Peoples) Democracy, with equal rights for all citizens as spelled out in the constitution except for the Patriots and Traitors. The Colombians and others who ape the Westerners should not become Traitors to the motherland. Those who love the motherland and our way of life should know whom to vote for. One Candidate has a proven track record. The other has unfulfillable promises from dreamland. He also has unnecessary baggage such as Ranil’s UNP, JVP and TNA to carry along. The US and Norweighian backing is not a help as these parasites want to further suck the blood of the country. The GSP of the EU is being used as a carrot to bait the business community. Ranil has guranteed to get this back immediately if his side wins. Is our Soverignity so cheap that it can be bought for a few Euros or Dollars that are daily declining in value.

Mahinda is definitely going to win and then the opposition will try to perform an Iran situation claiming that the elections were rigged and start street riots. The run up to the polls has hardly been given any publicity in the US media and even the defeat of LTTE was downplayed. However these riots will be given wide publicity to discredit the Mahinda Rajapaksa government as the West cannot control it like a puppet. Fomseka is a puppet of the West.
