The Buddha Light International Association, Chennai Chapter has been working closely with the Buddhist Maha Vihara Brickfields in Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ for several years to translate Dhamma bookletsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ from English into Tamil in a co-sharing program. Books translated by the BLIA, Chennai Chapter into Tamil areƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ later sponsored for free distribution by the Vihara for free distribution inƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Tamil Nadu, Malaysia and Sri Lanka.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

Buddhism today is growing at a steadyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ pace in Southern India in the States of Tamil Nadu, Andhara Pradesh, Maharashta and Karnataka where state languages are widely used compared toƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the national language Hindi.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

I would like to share this happiness of sharing the Dhamma with you in this month of Wesak. The Buddhist Maha Vihara in Malaysia currently publishes free Dhamma booklets in 19 languages and isƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ working with various groups worldwide to translate Dhamma booklets intoƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ more thanƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ 30 languages.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Vihara publishesƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Dhamma booklets in the following languages:ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ English, Sinhala, Tamil, Mandarin, Malay, Hindi, Kannada, Telegu,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Oriya, Vietnamese, Burmese, Thai, Portugese, Spanish, French, Dutch, Luganda, Kishwahili andƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Chichewa.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Vihara publishes about 300,000 free booklets annually.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
