Sir:
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
“There is a solution to smuggling. That’s to send them back”, the former diplomatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  to YugoslaviaƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  and a veteran of the federal immigration department, James Bissett said.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  “If you send one boat back you won’t get another”, he continued.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  This is a no brainer.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  With his experience on immigration, he obviouslyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ knows ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ a scam when he sees one.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Yes, send theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  illegal Tamil migrants of MV Sun Sea back. The operative word here is “illegal”.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
His statement endorses what Sri Lanka’s Minister of External Affairs, Prof. G.L. Peiris told his Canadian counterpart Minister Lawrence Cannon when they met at the UN a few days ago,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  that with the end of the conflict in Sri Lanka, and the return of peace and stability to all parts of the country, there was no reason for people to flee the country on any grounds.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  “The UNHCR has also recognized this position in a recent statement”, he said.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
So, Canada, why are you dithering with this decision and condoning a few to become millionaires with this illegal business of human trafficking and pumping the immigration lawyer business to the hilt?
