ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
The news of the attack on the Vice Chancellor of the Ruhunu University, appaling as itƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ is, illustrates clearly whatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ruthless politicians can do, have done times ad nauseum, and will continue to do in ourƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ beloved country.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Memory sadly meanders back to the infamous JVP-a curse upon that name- era when valuable lives were destroyed without compunction by idiots who did not, and will not ever know the utter wasteƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ of human resources they perpetrated. Today, obviously, a similar trend of mayhem and senseless acts areƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ showing signs of taking over the country at the behest of people who want nothing more than power. The students who are being manipulated by these unscrupulous, unpatriotic and inhumanƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ agents of destruction need a great deal of counselling andƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ eye opening . If the country is to prosper, they need to get back to theirƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ stuies and try to understand the world and its people first before they try to take over the country.

There certainly is something tragicaly wrong with the thinking of those students who for instance, think that ‘freshers’ coming to the campus need lessons on how to fall in love-which the senior stuidents can teachƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ by ragging them into submission?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ For goodness sake, are these guys sitting on their brains or what?
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
The individuals who put the Vice Chancellor in hospital should be dealt with to the full extent of the law. Their acts are as criminally oriented as those of the terrorists, who in the last thirty years, beseiged every principle and value that the large majority of Sri Lankans held sacrosanct.

I think the students responsible forƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ sending the VC to hospital should be arrested as criminals and dealt with to the full extent of the law.

Their acts are as criminal as the acts of the LTTE, who over the years wrought so mauch damamge on the people, institutions and values which the large majority of Sri Lankans hold sacred and scorsanct. Let not there be another era of JVP darkness.
