Your letter, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”New Democrats want justice for TamilsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ of January 14, 2011, has all the quirky stuff which has a Quack-concoction spelling C-a-n-a-d-i-a-nƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  t-r-o-u-b-l-e for Sri Lanka.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  And especially when it happens to be coming from you who called for the ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Emergency Debate on Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ on February 4, 2009, where you gave the Tamil Eelam supporting parliamentarians the opportunity to lie about Sri Lanka and flay her with baseball bats and hockey sticks.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  That is one debate in the House of Commons Chambers that I will never forget, which I dubbed as the – ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Canadian Parliamentary Gong Show of the Theatre of Tamil Tiger BlarneyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  That debate was more like an Animal Activists group trying to save the Tamil Tigers, as by then the Sri Lankan Government forces had caught the Tamil Tiger leaders by their tails and their butts whipped and regained 98% of the territory that these terrorists had controlled illegally for 20 years.

Remember what you said that evening Jack?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  You said ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦the relentless government campaign against the rebels has devastated the northern region of Sri Lanka.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  What you failed to identify is that these Tamil Tigers had been designated as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-terroristsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ by the UN and so had Canada banned them as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-terroristsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  And you identified the Tamil Tigers as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-rebelsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  That itself showed your ignorance of the ground reality in Sri Lanka, where the whole island was haemorrhaged by these terrorists for 27 whopping years.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  The end result was that 100,000 civilians had been killed unnecessarily; 382 suicide bombings conducted by the Tamil Tigers; 5,300 Tamil children kidnapped for their baby brigade; assassination of ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ two Heads of State, Rajiv Gandhi of India and President Premadasa of Sri Lanka and several cabinet ministers, three Tamil Mayors of Jaffna, several Tamil intellectuals, and so the catalogue of assassinations goes on.

Ha! I thought, this man, Jack Layton is soft peddling on the Tamil Tiger separatist terrorists wanting to garner a portion of the 100,000 Tamil votes in the Greater Toronto Area, leaving the crumbs for the Liberals and the Conservatives.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  What the heck did you expect Jack, when the legitimately elected Sri Lankan GovernmentƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Armed Forces were facing an onslaught by the Tamil Tigers who were using sophisticated military weapons having brought in 11 ship loads of them during the Ceasefire period between February 22, 2002 and January 16, 2008 and four Czech ZLIN 143 aircraft to be flown as night bombers. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ I hope you didnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t expect the Sri Lankan armed forces to fight these non-elected Tamil terrorists with stones and catapults when they were using 120mm, 81mm and 60mm artillery and mortar shells, did you now, Jack?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Stop being so damn foolish.

On that February 4, 2009, you provided a forum for the Tamil Eelam supporting parliamentarians to lie about Sri Lanka.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  The Liberal terrible five, led by the two choir boys Derek Lee and Robert Oliphant, who were followed by Judy Sgro, Jim Karygiannis and Albina Guarneiri charged Sri Lanka of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-genocideƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ of the Tamils.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  And you and I and the 32 million Canadians found out by May 18, 2009, that it wasnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t a case of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-genocideƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ as it was a liberation war when the Sri Lankan armed forces liberated 300,000 Tamils from the clutches of the Tamil Tiger terrorists who held them for 30 months as a human shield, and prepared one million meals a day to feed these Tamils three meals a day in their temporary welfare camps.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  You better believe it, as that indeed was the ground reality. That was a humanitarian miracle that was unraveling in front of our very eyes.

Jack, I suppose you noticed that I referred the Tamil Tigers as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-terroristsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ and not as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-rebelsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ as you have.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  I am not the only one who called them ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-terroristsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ so did all the countriesƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  that banned them including Canada as well as the UN that designated them as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-terroristsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, except, of course, CanadaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s leader of the NDP, Jack Layton.

In your letter you say: ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Regrettably, Canada missed an opportunity in post-conflict Sri Lanka for leadership in reconciliation, justice, and institution building to ensure peace and stability are equitable and sustainable.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Our government could have done much more.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚

That is a load of rubbish Jack that is a crock full of cods-wallop.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Canada is suspect when it comes to wanting to dabble in Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Tamil issue.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Canada lost its innocence and the crown of the Pearsonian Nobel Peace Moderator the moment the Canadian government under the Liberals decided to let the Tamils collect two million dollars a month to stuff the Tamil Tiger war chest and let them collect that amount each month for the next 13 years.

Canada continued to be suspect and lost its innocence when several Liberal parliamentarians led by the two cabinet ministers Paul Martin and Maria Minna, ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ patronized the FACT Tamil Tiger fund raising $60 a plate dinner on May 6, 2000.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Canada continued to be suspect and lost its innocence when the Liberal government let the Canadian Tamils cut a cheque for 7 ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚½ million dollars in 1994 from a bank in Vancouver to pay for the purchase of 50 tonnes of TNT and 10 tonnes of RDX explosive materials from the Rubezone Chemical Plant in Ukraine, which were used in the truck bomb which brought down the Central Bank Building in the heart of the capital Colombo, killing 114 and maiming for life another 1,400 people on January 31, 1996.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Canada continued to be suspect and lost its innocence when the leader of the political party NDP publicly compared the leader of the Tamil Tigers, Velupillai Prabhakaran the serial killer to South AfricaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Nelson Mandela at a Pongu Thamil gathering at TorontoƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s QueenƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Park in front of 10,000 Tamils.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  And that guilty person was Jack Layton, and that is you Jack.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  So what the heck are you up to trying to tell the Sri Lankans, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-We Canadians are Holier Than Thou!ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  We can help you all to solve your ethnic problem!ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Phew! ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ That is indeed a joke. ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-We expressed our support for the National Council of Canadian TamilsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ submission to the United Nations Panel of Experts on Sri Lanka.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  We feel that the establishment of a transitional justice mechanism is a fundamental step in a roadmap for peace, stability and reconciliation,ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ you said in your letter.

There are two things that bothered me in your statement of support.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  You have supported the National Council of Canadian Tamils (NCCT) which is a proxy group of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE aka Tamil Tigers) an organization that is secretly working to re-establish and resurrect the Tamil Tiger terrorists to fight another day to establish their mythical separate state, Eelam.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ These guys havenƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t given up their dream yet.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  NCCT that you have supported has deliberately adapted in its logo the poisonous lily which is the symbolic flower of the Tamil Tigers.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  This flower has no relevance to the Tamil community at large nor represent the life of their adopted home, Canada.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  This poisonous lily was introduced by the Tamil Tigers in 1991 to remember their fallen comrades and it is the floral emblem of their mythical mono-ethnic, racist, separate Tamil state, Eelam.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Thus it is valid to argue that the mandate of the NCCT is that of the Tamil Tigers.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  It is equally true that Jack Layton who is the leader of CanadaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s New Democratic Party is supporting the resurrecting of the wiped out Tamil Tigers and establish a separate Tamil state, Eelam in Sri Lanka. Am I not right, Jack?

Jack, which ever way you try to cut the pie of your innocence on my charge of mischief, you I am afraid is a rogue Canadian politician who is supporting a separate Tamil state, Eelam in Sri LankaƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  You have no way of wiggling out of that guilt.

The other reason that bothers me with your supporting the submission of the NCCT to the United Nations Panel of experts on Sri Lanka is because the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon clearly exceeded the powers prescribed per Chapter XV of the UN Charter where his role as the Chief Administrative Officer and the limits of his authority are specifically defined in Articles 97 and 98. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ He, most definitely violated his powers by appointing a three member panel to investigate alleged violations of human rights and humanitarian law during the concluding stages of the military action taken by the Sri Lankan government in early months of 2009 against the Tamil Tiger terrorists.

Jack, it is almost worth it for you to read that UNƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Charter chapter to refresh your memory if you consider yourself a honest Canadian politician who has a concern on international affairs, and especially Sri Lanka, as your party is trying to steal the Sri Lankan Tamil-Canadian votes to dump the Liberals and Conservatives in the Greater Toronto Area ridings.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  I know you are a smart guy with a Ph.D stuck in the recesses of your intellectual lobe of your brain.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  LetƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s use it before you link hands with the NCCT members to spit and dump on Sri Lanka.

The Russian Federation on Thursday 24, 2010, slammed Ban Ki-MoonƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s decision to appoint a panel of experts to advise him on Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s alleged violations of human rights.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  They criticized Ban Ki-Moon for not asking the opinion of the Security Council or the General Assembly on this matter before appointing the panel.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  What was said by the Russians was that ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-What also makes us cautious is the fact that this decision was taken without regard to the position of a sovereign state and a member of UN, Sri Lanka.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚

Correct! I think you and Ban Ki-Moon as a learning process should refer to some writings of eminent World Jurists in this area like Eli Lauterpacht, R.Y.Jennings and Roslyn Higgins who will say that Secretaries General have no power to investigate into internal affairs of a member State without first obtaining the authorization of the Security Council.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  This is basic at the UN.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  I wonder what Ban Ki-Moon smoked that morning when he decided to be bull-headed toƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ bypass the administrative rules of his office as the Secretary General of the UN.

And mind you Jack, what Ban Ki-Moon forgot was that many of the rules of war were based on the presumption that the warring parties in an armed conflict are conventional armies of sovereign states and in Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s case the non-sovereign state and the non-elected Tamil Tiger terrorists totally disregarded those laws and principles.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  The sincerity of the UNƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Secretary General is in question by the appointment of the expert panel to look into the state of Sri Lanka, as its army was deploying its legitimate role as any army of a sovereign state would, protect its civilians from harm and its sovereignty from internal or external forces inimical to its survival.

What is also interesting is that Ban Ki-MoonƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s impudent act has again permitted extremism to reoccupy centre stage in Sri Lanka distracting Sri Lankans from their efforts to reconcile, reconstruct and reintegrate.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Impudent act I said.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Here is what is impudent about his appointing thisƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  panel who should not have been ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” Steven Ratner has written that the Tamils represented by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (Tamil Tigers) are an oppressed minorityƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  This statement should have disqualifiedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  him ab initio. The leader of he panel, Marzuki Darusman,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  was part of ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the now discredited IIGEP international team appointed to observe proceedings on a previous Sri Lanka commission on atrocities, and left in a huff with strong anti-Sri Lankan feelings.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  He should have been disqualified on his bias too.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  I question Ban Ki-MoonƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s motives and I smell a rat here, and a nasty smelly one at that! ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ If I were Bank Ki-Moon, now that he ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ has been exposedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ with hisƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ugly shenanigans when it comes to Sri lanka, I would roll over and die of shame!.

In conclusion, IƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢d say that you , Jack, should be ashamed of yourself also to have supported the submission of the proxy Tamil Tiger organization, the NCCT to this UNƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s expert panel, as the NCCT ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ are up to a lot of mischief, still dreaming of their mythical, mono-ethnic, racist, separate Tamil state, Eelam, carved out of 33% of Sri Lankan territory bordered by 66% of its coastline.
