ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ This refers to a comment made to a news item in the Adaderana.lk under heading:

“CANADA HIGH COMMISSIONER MEETS WITH RESETTLEMENT MINISTER

January 26, 2011ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ 04:44 pm”

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Whether the Honourable Minister Guneratne Weerakoon knows English or not is NOT the issue here.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ What was of great value is that there is COMMUNICATION initiated between both the VIPs. One has to admire the stance taken by HE. Bruce Levy, the Canadian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka to meet with Hon. Minister for Resettlement and express their generosity towards the suffering people in the East and the willingnessƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ to help the war displaced, stated in the news item.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ HE Bruce Levy is the representative of the Canadian government and the people of Canada. It is the generosity and human understanding of the people of Canada that explains the humble attitude of what HE. Bruce Levy has done.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Building everlasting friendship and closer relations between Nations is good diplomacy. HE Mahinda Rajapaksa wants Sri Lanka to be heard in the International arena with honour and dignity. Lets be Sri Lankans.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Lets help these VIPƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s build these bridges of International Relations.
