The Indian High Commission in Colombo had ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ quoted Indian External Affairs Ministry spokesman Shri Vishnu Prakash as saying, “We have seen reports from Sri Lanka referring to the Sri Lankan Prime MinisterƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s statement alluding to the presence of LTTE training camps in Tamil Nadu. We categorically deny the existence of any such camps. The Government of Sri Lanka had also not taken up this issue with us. Such a reference is indeed unfortunate and we urge the Government of Sri Lanka to desist from reacting to speculative and uncorroborated reports.”
The Indian external affairs Minister may perhaps not be aware of any existing terrorist training camps in Tamil Nadu.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ But the fact that there had been such camps in Tamil Nadu cannot be denied as testimony had been received of their existence during the investigations by the Jain Commission. Have they been completely closed ?
If the remaining Sri Lanka terrorist ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚«ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ rumpƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚» has any teerorists who had received training in theseƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ camps in the junglesƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ of TamilNadau will know how to steal their way into them without drawing the attention of theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ TamilNadu government officials.

A dossier containingƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Indian involvement in subversive activitiesƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ had been handed over to the Prime Minister Manmohan SinghƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Yousuf RazaƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Gillani at one of their meetings.

It has to be very closely watched as if there are secret camps in Tamil Nadu unknown to the Tamil Nadu State, it may be possible that Sri Lanka terrorists are secretly maintaining some of the old training camps in TamilNadu and taking cover as fishermen to go in and come out of these camps.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Katchativu Island was handed over to Sri LankaƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ in 1974.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ There was ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ already a ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Church in the island datingƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ back to 1905.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Situation in Sri Lanka is different today. The Island should now be used to protect Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s maritime border and should not be made aƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ religious centre for people to gather.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Because if allowed,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ it could beƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ a security risk to Sri Lanka.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
Katchativu should therefore be made a Sri Lanka Military Post and perhaps, it would be appropriate to build a Buddhist Temple as well to make it a gathering point forƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ both the Sinhala and Tamil Communities.

Why pound on the Prime Minister Jayaratne? When the actual proof is available to any one with a credit card account that can access Googal Map. No one in the Sri Lanka’s British colonial press do not want to even to mention any Tamil Terrorist camps in Tamil Nadu, call them LTTE, Tamil Nadu Terrorists or Vikko Tamil Terrorists. This is because the Kappan they get from Indian RAW will be cut off if they did so. Do we have GENUINE parlimentarians who will support the Prime Minister in the parliament? My answre is NO. Now what about this comedy actor, the government minister Dallas Alahaperuma? (I am going by news reports on Infolanka) He also wants the the Prime Minister to apologize. I think President Rajapkse should educate this clown. Following is the TRUE story: Veerappan (a close friend of Karunanidhi) created over 28 Tamil Terrorist camps in the jungles of Tamil Nadu. When he was killed, these camps were taken over by Vikko and Saaman associated groups and they are functioning right now. At the time Veerappan was killed, an Indian investigative journalist published the Google Map images with exact locations. Just like the Indian investigative journalist who exposed the FISHING Storey, which the author, Charles is referring to. If one can get these locations and map them to a current image of these locations, then one can easily challange the exsistance of these Tamil Terrorist traning camps. Do we have brave polititions who can defend the Prime Minister in the Parliament? I don’t think so. I think Wimal Weerawanse or Rathnasiri Wirkramanayke should defend him in the Parliament using my proof. WE MUST DEFEND THE PRIME MINISTER JAYARETNE JUST LIKE THE AUTHOR CHARLES DID.

If you follow the history of India re Tamil Nadu politics, you will see that Tamil Nadu had always wanted to break away from perceived North Indian rule, even though Tamil Nadu is well represented at the Indian Parliament. After Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru brought in Laws to stop secession (1962), Tamil Nadu leaders have turned to other tactics. When PM Indira Gandhi allowed ltte camps in Tamil Nadu, did a single Tamil leader talk about it or protest ? Did the Indian newspapers carry news of these camps ? Not to our knowledge. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Is the same pattern being repeated now ? Defunct ideas are repeated over and over again – where is the ability of people to learn from past errors ?
It isn’t India that is hostile to Lanka. It is Tamil Nadu Caste structures/poverty & their politics ! India (Delhi) will use whatever opportunity it gets to further its control over both TN & Lanka. So will the church. Both end results are counter productive to both Lanka & Tamil Nadu.

Geographically speaking Sri Lanka is a separate island, quite apart from India, and has always been a separate Nation. Historically speaking, Lanka’s connections to India have been many, mostly of a positive nature except for historical invasions from Tamil invaders, and current mistrust. Generally speaking, most Lankans have an abiding love for the parts of India where the Buddha lived, because of our love for the Teachings of the Buddha. That aspect of love of India has nothing to do with the past & current problems from Tamil Nadu area.
To my knowledge of matters, Lanka has never had trouble with India except for problems from Tamil Nadu. When it suits them, Tamil Nadu leaders act alone, or say they are Indians when it suits them ! TN does a Shape Shifting Act according to the issue. Take the last TN Fishermen’s issue : was that “made in India” or made in Tamil Nadu ? TN & some Lanka Tamils also use the power of the Catholic Church to enhance certain issues when it suits them.
Currently, Lanka has to safeguard herself from illegal migrants from Tamil Nadu. Tamils wish to leave Tamil Nadu mainly because of their Caste System & poverty issues. Also, Lanka is used by them as a sort of ‘trampoline’ to jump into other countries, mostly the west. In order to do so, they are willing to convert to different religions or even ride along with interests inimical to Lanka.
While Tamil Nadu may have made economic & some societal progress in the last few decades, their 3,000 yr old Caste System still remains intact due to TN’s mainly insular nature from thousands years ago, more so than in the other states of India. TN still employs some 95,000 coolies to remove ‘night soil’. These people are from the caste intended for that very purpose. When will TN modernise their toilet systems ? TN has yet to offer free education and free health care as is done in Lanka. TN has Tamil language as the main language, not Hindi, which separates it lingually from North India. These points would not interest us in Lanka, except that geographically speaking, Tamil Nadu is the Indian state closest to Lanka. It is not an easy task to change fast for the better, either in TN or in Lanka.
In this situation prevailing in TN, we in Lanka have had many problems with illegal migrants from TN, and also some Tamil leaders of Lanka may continue trying to wrest parts of Lanka for Tamils only.
These are the ground realities, and sooner we face them the better for us all. Peace will come to Lanka when peace come to Tamil Nadu. In order to find solutions, we have to first define the problems. True “Peace & Friendship with Tamil Nadu” will be possible only when TN’s Caste System is totally gone and all of their people are at some peace with self respect. The Buddha said “Trustful are kinsmen best”. It is a challenge for Tamil Nadu to change for the better in every way. In fact, I dare say that there will be net migration INTO Tamil Nadu if this was so !

I respect DM very much but he misunderstood Sri Lankan Tamil Refugee camps for LTTE camps. There 115 such refugee camps are across Tamil Nadu with a population of more than 100,000 people for the last 25 years.
Sri Lankan government must bring back all Sri Lankan refugees from those camps to solve the problem once and for all! Another group of Tamil Sri lankans are in Orissa numbering 40,000 who were chased out by UNP and LTTE after the 1987 Indo-Lanka pact.
Barking against India is easy but solving problems is not that easy. Tamil Nadu is our neighbour and our political and cultural partner for thousands of years. Swallowing WHITEMAN’s racism and barking never help Sri Lanka.
I again invoke the words of president Rajapaksha:
China, Pakistan and others are friends but India is our RELATIVE.

Regarding Repatriation of Tamil people brought in mainly by the British & Dutch during times of Colonial Rule, we extracted these facts & figures from the UNHRC web :
• Stateless persons have been the subject of a number of Indo-Ceylon agreements in the past and some of them have been granted citizenship by both India and Sri Lanka.
• In particular, under a series of bilateral agreements between India and Sri Lanka in 1964 and 1974, Sri Lanka agreed to provide citizenship to a total of 375,000 Indian Tamils and India agreed to provide citizenship and repatriate 600,000 Hill Tamils. A total of 506,000 people applied for Indian Citizenship and 470,000 applied for Sri Lankan citizenship under these agreements.
• The process of granting Indian citizenship was very slow and in 1982, 86,000 applications for citizenship to the Indian High Commission were still pending. A further 90,000 people who had been issued with Indian passports were still remaining in Sri Lanka.
At this time, India advised Sri Lanka that it no longer considered the 1964 and 1974 agreements to be binding as the implementation period had expired. Sri Lanka disputed this claim.

When we do the math on this, since 1982 (almost 25 yrs ago), there remains in Lanka around 176,000 Tamils (86,000 still pending + 90,000 given Indian passports but not left Lanka), Tamil people and their children. If over 100,000 Tamil people are in Tamil Nadu camps now, then it is only just that they remain there always as part of the Indo-Lanka Agreements (mainly the Sirima-Shasthri Pact).
Also, Mudali says that President MR said India is our RELATIVE. What sort of Relative India proves to be in the future remains to be seen, but near history has proved that India can be somewhat of a dubious relative when Tamil Nadu matters intervene ! However, we all know that Tamil Nadu itself is at present the unpredictable and wily place to deal with, e.g. J.N. Dixit, Indian Envoy and the bete noire of the JRJ times, was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He died of a heart attack when the tsunami swept the East coast of Lanka with devastating effects to the sea fleet of the ltte.

No need to bring those refugees here. They now have Indian citizenship. They have no land or other property in SL. They should live in India.
Politicians have said many things at different times. It does not mean SL should accomodate Indians! No way. If India is our relative it should keep Tamil Nadu people in Tamil Nadu.
Tamil Nadu (ruled by Tamils) is not our neighbour. India (ruled mostly by Hindi speaking Indians who don’t hold Tamil Nadu like views) is our neighbour.
But most importantly don’t forget the golden words of Sarath Fonseka who is also a senior politician – Tamil Nadu politicians and others are clowns. He has his problems but he said this when he was sane so it is valid.

Are you honestly don’t know that there were tamil racist terrorists training camps in tamil country (tamil nadu). Tamils those who trained in tamil country (tamil nadu) said more than many times that they were trained in your country. Prabakaran and all his LTTE terrorists gang, Sri Sabaratnam’s (TELO), Pathmanabaha’s (EPRLF), Balakumar’s (EROS), Uma Maheswaran’s (PLOTE), Maheswaran’s TNA trained in India/tamil nadu. There were more than 10,000 tamil terrorists trained by India/tamil nadu to fight with Sinhala nation. In 1980’s there were many tamil terrorists training camps in tamil country (tamil nadu) and those were well funded by central government of India, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and RAW as well as tamil country (tamil nadu) politicians such as M.G.Ramachandran, M. Karunanidhi, Jayalalitha, Vaiko, etc. Even at that time India and tamil country politicians denied that there weren’t any terrorists camps in Indian soil. Do you think now they will admit they have training camps in tamil country.
What is India’s right to trained terrorists against Sri Lanka? How can you justify that? Those India trained terrorists killed several thousand innocent Sinhala in their own country. Don’t you think it wasn’t state terrorism and violates U.N.O fundamentals? If Law and order correctly exercise in this world then many tamil country’s politicians, Indian politicians and several RAW agents had to go to International criminal courts against the crimes done by them for several thousand human lives in Sri Lanka.
Even now tamil country politicians Vaiko, Karunanidhi, Seeman and Vijay openly support tamil terrorists. Very resent film actor called Vijay said that tamils have to invade Sri Lanka and erase it from world map! We know that tamils tried to erase our nation since 2nd century of B.C but not yet successful therefore I don’t think this thread worm Vijay can do it what failed by Elara, Annamalai, M.G Ramachandran, M. Karunanidhi, S.J.Velupillai Chelvanayakam and Velupillai Prabakaran. All those tamil racists tried to erase Sri Lanka from the world map!!
Hay what right do you have to tell us to work with tamil economic refugee (TER) terrorists diaspora? How can we take back those who betrayed our country for few dollars? They went to western countries to earn some money. If they are genuine refugees then they should go to tamil nadu which is nearest just 24 miles from Sri Lanka. So you know everything but you guys cannot understand this very simple fact? Any donkey can understand why tamils go as refugees to west and Europe. But you don’t have an atom of brain to understand it.
