Ranga Jayasuriya of Lakbima a Hurrah Boy of the West, a traitor to his motherland.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Journalist Ranga Jayasuriya writing on 27 Mrch,2011 to Sunday LakbimaƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  NewsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  begins his anti Sri Lanka Government article, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…- Who is important to Sri Lanka Gaddafi or Libyan people ? ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ He ends his article stating that, the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦..Present regimeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s affinity with the authoritarian regimes in Libya, Iran, Burma and Venezuela is not a secret. That camaraderie would have provided impetus to the government to display its solidarity with the Gaddafi regime. GaddafiƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s petro dollarsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  would have spoken too. Gaddafi is known for his generous monetary supportƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  to a wide range of political, resistance and Islamic groups.
Gaddafi would be grateful to his Sri Lankan allies. But wouldƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  the people of Libya be? ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ We could in turn ask Ranga Jayasuriya, who knows little about the Libyan people, whether heƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  is speaking to please his pay masters the NGO Funding International Community who sought ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ UN Security Council sanction to bombard Libya with least concern for the ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Libyan Civilians, but with the ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ only ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ objective to assassinate Gaddafi for a regime change in Libya ?

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The IC loves petrol more than the Libyan people. Ranga Jayasuriya is, knowingly or unknowingly, becoming a party to these massacres and destruction of a sovereign state by theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  International Community seeking to redeemƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  an undisputedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  leadership of the World of Nations , a dangerous precedence that the International Community could use hereafter against any developing Nation.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Ranga Jayasuriya quotes BBC- another arm of the International Community, and an unnamedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…- rebel spokesmanƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  to defend hisƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-paymastersƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ . The quote reads: ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-After coalition aircraft hit GaddafiƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s ground forces which hadƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  laid siegeƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  toƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  the rebel held city Misurata, a rebel spokesman told the BBC:

ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Misurata was in a desperate state yesterday, we almost lost all hope, but the strikes came at a good time with good intensity and frequency… GaddafiƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s forces have been hiding in a hospital… I can tell you that thereƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ve been zero casualties from international strikes. ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Can any intelligent person believe that ? One has to wait for another ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ wikileak information ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ for the real truth to come out.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ These NGO paid writers like Ranga Jayasuriya and web pages like Lakbima are a part ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  what the American Ambassador Butenis calls the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…- Civil Society Groups ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ to whoseƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  existenceƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Billions ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Rupees are being ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ paid by the American Embassy, under the cover of rebuilding war torn areas, to make them carry out favourable propaganda for the nefarious activities of the International Community.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ These journalists and web sites ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ are commissioned to make unfavourable reports on ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ national leaders loved by the people, to put the people against popular governments, ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ toƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  create situations highlightingƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  government decision that cause economic difficulties etc. that couldƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  draw people to make manifestations against governments.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ If these NGOsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  succeed to putƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  sections of people against the governmentƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  it would facilitate the International Community through their agencies such as the Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch etc. to create situations to demand international interventions to control and survey implementation of development activities,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  appoint commissions of investigation or set upƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  organisations like Gareth EvanƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s R2P ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…”which, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-.. puts into practice the doctrine of interference in the affairs of sovereign states where security is an issueƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The International Community could not have intervened in Libya if there was no anti GaddafiƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  movement in Benghazi.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Such situations had been created in the past by the CIA with their paid agents, that finally resulted in regime changes.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  But now they use the NGOs quite often from among the people,( such as Jehan Perera or Pakiasoth Saravanamuttu in Sri Lanka)ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  where the International Community has in mind a regime change.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The other day I was listening to an interview conducted by Sanjana Hattotuwa of the Groundviews a NGO funded website with Pakiasothy Saravanamuttu the executive director of the Centre for Policy Alternatives another well-known anti-government NGO organisation.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  It was interesting to see how these NGOs are thinking according to the agenda of the International Community.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ They were discussing about the impassivity of the people in Sri Lanka, the ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ absence of the citizen led agitations against the government.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  That was of course what the International Community was trying to create in Sri Lanka, so that it could have intervenedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  like they are doing in Libya today.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ We should be thankful to the President and the Government for their vigilance, and the People of Sri Lanka for their patience and absolute trust they had placed in the President and the Armed Forces, and not retaliating against the Tamil Community in the South when ever atrocities were committedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  by the terrorists against the Sinhala villagers in the North.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It was the inability of the International Community to intervene in Sri Lanka during the last phase of the military operations against the terrorists in the absence of a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-citizen led agitationƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ that angered the International Community which now threatens Sri Lanka to be hauled before a war crimes tribunal.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Secretary of the UNO Ban Ki Moon is just a powerless puppet in the hands of the International Community. That is why he is still , ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-encumbered with a panelƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ to investigate ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ violation of human rights at the close of military operations against the terrorists by the Sri Lanka Armed Forces, which he had appointed at the behest of the International Community.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Ban Ki Moon who made a hue and cry over Sri Lanka is reduced to aƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…- muteƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ spectator ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  the crimes being committed ( quite contrary to what actually happened in Sri Lanka)ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  by the erstwhile International Community in Libya, having fooled the UN Security Council to pass the resolution 1973.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Today ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Germany which abstained from voting for the resolution is being boycotted by the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-big gunsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ in the International Community . Is Ban Ki Moon proposing to send his ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-panelƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ to Libya to investigate the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…- crimes that areƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  being committed by the IC in Libya ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ ?

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The French dislike the immigrants- that is all whose origin is outside France, including their descendants i.e theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  coloured people, and more the Arabs or Muslims. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Therefore it seems strange that the FrenchƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  who dislikes its own citizens, who are coloured orƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Arab, choose ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ to rescue the ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ civiliansƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  in Benghazi with whom the West has no affinity ?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ All this preoccupation with human rights ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ by the International Community is just ballyhoo, it is merelyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  trying to enlarge itsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-power baseƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ .

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ You remember ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Ranga Jayasuriya how your paymasters used theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  question of human rights to boycott the Olympic Games in Russia ? They succeeded, but it did not work with China.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  They tried their level best to make Tibet an issue to ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ boycott the Olympic Games in China.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  In that they miserably failed.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ China has grown up and human rights issue will not stand up to foilƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  the success achieved by her.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Even the President Barrack Obama andƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  President SarkozyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  tried to intimidate China with the human rights issueƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  broaching the subject at their ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ meetings with the Chinese leaders, without any success.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Now they have found another topic toƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  make the Chinese people agitateƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  against their rulers.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  It is theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  question of pollution.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  That too will not work.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ There was recently a regional election in France called the Election Cantonale. They have a system of two rounds of elections. First is to elect a candidates from a number of candidates from different political parties, and in the second round only the two candidates who have got the highest number of votes in the first round of election contest.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ In the recentƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Cantonales in FranceƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  for the second roundƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  there were in some Cantons either a Socialist CandidateƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  against a Extreme Right Wing candidate or aƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  SarkozƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s UMP Party Candidate againstƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  an Extreme Right WingƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  candidate.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Marine Le PenƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Extreme Right Wing (Xenophobic) Candidates are against the immigrants, and becoming popular among the French people.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  The Socialist Party wants the Extreme Right defeated and they instructed those who voted for the Socialist Candidate in the first round of elections to voteƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  for the SarkozyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s UMP candidate in the second round of elections where the contest is between a SarkozyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s UMP candidate andƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  a Extreme Right Wing candidate,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  so thatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  the Extreme Right wing candidates will be defeated.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Socialist Party expected ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ SarkozyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s UMP to do like wise and instruct those who voted for the UMP candidates in the first round of elections to vote for theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Socialist Candidate where there is a contest between a Socialist Candidate andƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  an Extreme Right wing candidate, ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ to stop the advance of Extreme right. But UMP did not give such instructions but saidƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Ni, Ni ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ that was to say neither Socialist nor ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Extreme Right.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Because the SarkozyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s UMP is also against the immigrant communities ( though it does not say so openly) therefore he does not mind the Extreme Right ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Wing candidates winning against a Socialist candidate.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  This shows the hypocrisy of Sarkozy who is not favourable to the Arab or Muslim and other ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Communities in France itself, but showed an exceptional sympathy for the civilians in Benghazi where he feared ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…- blood bathƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ of the civilians instigated ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ byƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Colonel Gaddafi.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is therefore evident, that SarkozyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s sympathies are not for the civilians in Benghazi, he has other motives. But hastened to fool ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the UN Security CouncilƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  along with his partners, Barrack Obama and David Cameron, their fear of the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-blood bathƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ in Benghazi, to pass a resolution, as a means to enter Libya toƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  bomb Benghazi and the rest of Libya andƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  bomb GaddafiƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s residence to assassinate him. President ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Barrack Obama said that Gaddafi should go, ignoring the purpose itself ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ of the UN Security Council Resolution 1973.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The story ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-blood bathƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ in Benghazi was only an illusion in the minds of these leaders of the International Community.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Of courseƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Colonel Gaddafi as the Leader of theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Libyan people has the right to maintain peace and order in his country, and for that purpose he has to use his security forces to put down insurgents, rebels and terrorists.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Gaddafi is the leader of the people and he could have easily put down the rebel movement without a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-blood bathƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It has been reported that the President Obama defended the American-led military assault in Libya on Monday, saying it was in the national interest of the United States to stop a potential massacre that would have ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-stained the conscience of the world.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Is it ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ any different from the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-lieƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ George Bushs said ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ onƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  28 January,2003 in his State of the Union Address that, “Our intelligence officials estimate that Saddam Hussein had the materials to produce as much as 500 tons of sarin, mustard and VX nerve agent.”,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  before declaring war on Iraq ?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ George Bush did not find any weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Colonel Gaddafi had already stoppedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  rebellious groups in Libya without any ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-massacresƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚, and there was no reason to believe there would have been ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ a massacre in Benghazi.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Colonel Gaddafi recapturedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  rebel held Brega ,Ajdabiya, Tabruk without any ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-massacresƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚, thereforeƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  there was not even aƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  reasonable doubtƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  that he would have massacred the rebels in Benghazi.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Ranga Jayasuriya is just gulping any thing that the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…- attackersƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ mouth to justify their aggression, without seeking to understand any logic in their statements.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Democracy in the sense in which we understand is not there in Arab countries, but there is another system which is a form of tribalism ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…”ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…- a tribal consciousness with a strong sense of loyalty ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ This is why the International Community and all its agencies, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ R2P bungle.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  They do not understand the culture, custom and social make up of different people of different nations.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  They expect every one to beƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  of the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Christian CivilizationƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ only system they ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-professƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ to understand, and bungle as a result.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The rebels at the beginning did not have arms to fight against the forces ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  their leader Colonel Gaddafi, but immediately after ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…- no fly zoneƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ was declared and the International Community commenced their bombardments, the rebels seemed to have found large quantities of Arms and ammunitions, did Ranga Jayasuriya questionƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  who had suddenly equipped these rebels withƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  large quantities of arms ?

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Decan Herald of 30 March 2011 reports , ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Meanwhile, the US and other Western nations are considering supplying the Libyan rebels with weapons, according to the Washington Post. Defying Gaddafi’s forces, the rebels have been receiving military training at a camp set up by the opposition National Council in the rebel stronghold of Benghazi.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Has the UN Security Council resolution 1973 allowed this- supply of arms to rebels and give them military training ?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Ranga Jayasuriya, Do you at least now understand that there had been a conspiracy not to save the LibyanƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Civilians in Benghazi, butƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  for the International Community to enter Benghazi to have a foot hold in Libya to prepare the ground for the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-ousterƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ of Colonel Gaddafi ?

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ No Nation has the right to interfere militarily against another Nation.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Libya was rich.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Its people had been well provided for with food and other provisions and facilities.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Libya generously ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ gave monetary aid to several ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ developing countries.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Only thing which was wrong in Libya, in the eyes of the West was that Gaddafi was a leader who would not give into the West.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The West if it wanted to could have helped these Arab ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Nations, when it was in friendly terms with them, by advising them to organising their administrative system. But then it was only negotiating to enter into various contracts with Lybia.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  It did not then care how the civilians were being looked after.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Ranga Jayasuriya poses the question, Who is important to Sri Lanka Gaddafi or Libyan people ?

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Of course the Libyan people are important, but it is the leader that represents the people therefore for any Nation , including Sri Lanka the Leader of the People of Libya ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ is important.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ A leader cannot be condemned, and taken to task by any other Nation or Nations, because there are a few rebels who want to change the leadership.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is only the people who have the right to change the leadership, but no foreign Nation has the right to do so.

  1. A. Sooriarachi Says:

It seems Ranga Jayasuriya is trying to deflect war crimes allegations mounting against his nebefactors Sarkozy, Cameron and Hillary Clinton and ignoring the protests of Lybian people and the International community led by Russia, China and India, demanding a halt to the indiscriminate bombing of Lybia just to and provide aircover and other support to an armed group of anarchists trying to instal a Western friendly puppet regime. The very fact the Western forces have to let use so much of air power and warships for so long indicate that the Lybian people rather prefer Gadhafi the dictator to Ranga Jatasuriya’s heros like Sarkozy, Cameron and Hilary Clinton, now violating the recently passed UN resolution and probably commiting war crimes every day. These are the same countries that indiscriminately dropped bombs on Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Serbia, Iraq and Afganistan on the pretext of helping the civilians. Ranga J’s heros do not care for human rights of the third world and probably will invade Iran next.

  2. Sri Rohana Says:

What is happening in Libya is a direct invasion by France, U.K, U.S.A, Norway, Spain and Italy. Every one knows those Euro-American thugs trained insurgents and supplied weapons and more than 500 British SAS mercenaries now fighting in Libya. In additionally Euro- Anglo thugs bombed to civil and military targets of independent state of Libya. This is nothing other than a war against a sovereign nation.
What they want is not the human rights; they want to get the petroleum fields to their hands in Benghazi area. Then expel Colonel Gaddafi and appoint a puppet similar to Nouri Al -Maliki of Iraq or Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan.
As a journalist R.J’s duty is not to justify gross human right violation of Euro- American invasion in Libya. If he doesn’t have guts to write against Euro-American injustice he should keep shut his mouth. To please his paymasters at U.S, U.K and Norway spy missions in Colombo he brays against Libya and exposed to entire world that he is a donkey.

  3. Chintha Says:

There are plenti of fathead idiots who thinks the attacks in Libya is to save people. What a joke. All these counties involved has absolutely NO regards for civilian lives. ALL they are trying to achieve is thier own selfish goals hoodwinking the world. They are still trying the tricks on SL to break SL for thier own selfish motives, to fullfill the extending Tamil Nadu project called EALAM. And our gonsens have no clue.
