The LTTE videos that are circulating widely showing men in uniform torturing, degrading and killing disrobed prisoners have had an enormous amount of currency among the gullible and uninitiated while the videos have been an enormous weapon against the country in the hands of the enemies of Sri Lanka.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ For those who have a first hand knowledge of Sri Lanka and those who have been closely following the events in Sri Lanka for the past 30 years, the modus operandi of the LTTE has never been a mystery. It is a fact that the LTTE donned Sri Lanka military uniforms stolen or stripped from prisoners of war when committing crimes and spoke in Sinhalese during the execution of the atrocities for obvious advantages of throwing the shadow of doubt and blame on to the Sri Lankan Government. Secondly, the LTTE is well known to have videoed every atrocity they committed against the Sinhala and Muslim people, firstly for the sadistic enjoyment of the LTTE leader Prabhakaran who hardly ever left the bunker and secondly for the use of the videos for precisely such use in the future.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Killing of Ms Maheswari Velayutham- Ms Velayutham was an advisor to Minister Douglas Devananda, a Tamil belonging to a rival Eelaam Party EDPD who was a Minister of the Sri Lankan Government.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ I extract reports filed by Tamil writers of this incident at the time to show that this evidence is not constructed or falsified by the Sinhala people but is the reporting of facts by people with first hand knowledge of what occurred.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It was dark as a power cut was on. ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦The men parked their cycles close to a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-mudakkuƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ or turning point near the long winding lane referred to as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-KeerippalliƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ from time immemorial by residents of the area. ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦.. One of the youths stayed behind with the vehicles. Three others walked briskly for a distance of about 55 ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” 60 meters. They were clad in military fatigues. Two of them wore rubber slippers while a third had boots on.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Flashing their battery powered torch lights, the trio turned into the Velayutham residence on Keeripalli. The house was situated in the Karaveddy locality but in close proximity to the Karanavaai east and Nelliaddy divisions on two sides.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Velayutham residence was full of people. A family re- union of sorts was going on though an atmosphere of sadness was prevalent. The matriarch known as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Eeswari teacherƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ in Karaveddy was on her deathbed.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Mrs. Velayutham who had taught for many years at Vikneshwara College , Karaveddy was terminally ill with cancer. Her children many of them living in different parts of the world and in Sri Lanka had all come home to spend some time together with their loving motherƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦.Eeswari teacher was now in a coma. Death was impending and the siblings had converged together after many years at the family residence to be united in a time of sorrow and be with their mother during her last days.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ As anticipated death did occur in the Velayutham family but it was not the ailing mother but one of her loving daughters who met with death.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Three men strode into the residence compound. One of them spoke in ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-SinhalaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ and said that they were from the army. They had information that some people from foreign countries were staying in the house. They wanted to check the identity cards he said.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Five of MaheswaryƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s siblings had come with their families from Britain. Two of her sisters were living in Sri Lanka, one in Jaffna-other in Colombo.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Family members felt something was not right. Though it was dark there was something fishy about these young teen-aged men in slippers and military uniforms. Two of them had a T-56 each
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The face of at least one person was familiar. It was that of a youngster aged around thirteen or fourteen. He had been hired earlier to do some manual work in the household and had been hanging around the place. Now he was in uniform and armed.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Upon being told of what was happening Maheswari got up and walked to her mothers room to retrieve her identity card and other official documents. She then began walking to the front of the house saying she would explain to the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-soldiersƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Meanwhile the men in uniform now switched to Tamil and began shouting out ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Maheswari Akka! Maheswari Akka! Veliyile vaangoƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ (Elder sister Maheswari! Come outside).
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The family members now got alarmed. They realised something was terribly wrong and that Maheswari was in trouble. Some tried to go in and warn her.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ But the two men wearing slippers entered the house and began to move in forcibly despite protests. The man wearing boots hurried out and began jogging fast towards the cycles.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The two assassins were going in as Maheswari Velayutham was coming out. They met face to face.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Even though the light was dim Maheswari realised who the assassins were. ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Ivai LTTE aatkalƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ (these are LTTE people) she cried out.

It is beyond doubt that the victims could be Sri Lankan Army solders and the identification of at least one victim would go a long way not only towards defending against the vile accusations, threats and blackmail coming from all corners but also to take the offensive against accusers and blackmailers. Such an identification of course must be done with due consideration to the feelings of grief of the family and the community of the hero whose life and death is sacred to us, the Sri Lankans.

Thanks for writing this Ramanie. Your last paragraph are exactly what I thought when I saw the doctored piece of propaganda. Because the killers were darker skinned while their victims were lighter skinned like most sinhalese soldiers I knew then and there that this is an execution carried out by the Evil LTTE murderers. This is kinds of atrocities are what they are famous for throughout their 30 year terror. Thanks Rohan8 for your kind remarks! Yes, not only the skin colour but also the facial features provide more evidence to the fact that the victims are Sinhala. On the other hand this torture, this venomous hatred, this need to degrade in not in Sinhala psyche- but the Tamils have shown quite capable of it judging by the mutilations and degrading treatment of victims at Aranthalawa massacre, Kent & Dollar farm massacres etc.. I think this video is also a good opportunity for us to discredit and destroy the Tamil terror rump’s campaign of lies!

In a previous article we highlighted a list of reasons why the shooters were Tigers and the victims were SLA soldiers. Some of them are:
1. The haircuts – shooters have untidy MGR haircuts! Typical of Tigers. Victims have relatively tidy haircuts.
2. Skin colour
3. Fit of the uniform. SLA soldiers are not allowed to wear shaggy/baggy uniforms. They fit tightly. But the shooters wear uniforms too big to them
4. Victims seems to be older than the shooters. Some of them even have fat bellies. Shooters look much younger. Typically LTTE cadres are younger than SLA soldiers including middle level leaders.
5. Handling the gun when shooting indicates the shooters were untrained in proper shooting technique. No trained soldier uses an AK-47/Type-56 this way!
6. Dialogues in the “Sinhala” version has no relevance to the action. But the dialogues in the original (Tamil) version perfectly matches with action on the screen. In Tamil they even talk of removing the boots of soldiers as Tigers used to do.
7. Addition to the video clip aimed at distorting it. More blood was added. Genitals were blurred in 2 video clips. Strangely Channel 4 claimed they did nothing to alter the original clip!
8. The shooters are in a mighty hurry to finish off the victims. The winners of the war had all the time in the world and needed not hurry anything. Only the losers of the war didn’t have time on their side.
9. The old video format of the clip indicates that actually the footage was taken in the 1990s. This format is rarely used today. Certainly not in mobile phones.
10. The shoddy job of synchronizing fake audio and visuals.
However, western meddlers and Tamil crybabies will never accept the truth because the truth is not profitable. “War crimes” are the latest addition to Tamil grievances. Using this they will beg more and more things from compassionate fools. Give them anything, they will come after you like a stray dog. Ridicule their advances and they will tuck their tails between the legs and wait for the next compassaionate passer by.

Thank you, Ramanie. These are valuable references for legal matters against “ch4” and ABC, and of course, the perpetrators at JDS who doctored the video and dubbed it in Sinhalese. Let’s work (and have fun) exposing these terrorists who appear to have bought western media with their terror-money. It will take time, but these desperate attempts by the ltte-rump will eventually be exposed. We got to keep pushing…….. the GoSL doesn’t seem to give two hoots to what the terror-backed UN and its cronies are braying.

After watching the four corners program last night I have lot of doubts. The British born Tamil girl showing all those dead and injured Tamils in desperate situations, but she is clean and , well dressed and looking quite healthy for someone living in a war zone.She repeatedly showed allegedly bombed hospitals, obviously after the incidents happened or faked.If the Sri Lankan forces want kill civilians they could have inflicted a lot of casualties by bombing else ware instead of picking hospitals unless the LTTE were repeatedly using those premise to treat their injured or to fire at the armed forces.If the video is true about soldiers posing for the camera, the government must make every effort to bring them to justice as they are purposely doing it either for money or political reasons to bring discredit to the armed forces and to the country.

In the 1980s when the LTTE was recruiting child soldiers in the Jaffna area it was well known that they would come into homes wearing Army uniforms (taken off SL Army soldiers they had killed) and shoot to death and otherwise kill parents in front of the children. They would then go away and return dressed in Tiger uniforms and take the children who were still in fear and horror and pretend to give them protection and care, and the children in their shocked state of mind believed everything that was told them. This is how they used psy-ops to recruit children, and they especially selected for killing, parents had objected to giving children to the LTTE.
