[The following short paper was sent to Lankaweb in April 2010, but was never published, perhaps because it may have offended, or embarrassed our government in its attempt to woo the Tamils of the north – forgiving their three decade long mayhem.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ So now, after the elections, that we have learned what the Tamil ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-aspirationsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ are, shouldnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t the government now find out if the Sinhelese have any ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-aspirationsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Tamil aspiration is to get all they can, and keep the Sinhelese out of the north and east.]
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ That is the kind of slogan (ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Uthuru WasanthayaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Dakunu WasangathayaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚?) Ranil Wickremasinha would use, had it been the Tamils or the Colombians who were missing out on the post-war dividend (or, the high price of petrol). Alas! it is the Sinhelese who are the losers here – still suffering – after sacrificing life and limb to save the country.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is the Sinhela-poor, who put this government in power; it is the Sinhela-poor who gave their lives for this country. Must they now ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-be patient and waitƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚, for their turn will ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-eventuallyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ come?
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ How much longer have the Sinhela-poor to wait?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Were they the ones responsible for destroying this country?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Marshall PlanƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ going on to develop andƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ transform the North and the East is commendable, but what about the Sinhela-poor?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ For their sacrifice and undying loyal to their country – they ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-deserve better!ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚

Sinhala people displaced from the North are still not settled back in their former habitats. Sinhala people who manned the so called ‘Border Villages’ are still destitute. Meanwhile the there is an exodus of Tamils and Kallathonis into the South. In the South nobody is worried about poor Sinhala people’s grievances or aspirations. It is always the voice of the ‘Cry Tamil Babies’ that are heard in Sri Lanka and abroad.
The victory over terrorism was made possible by the Sinhala Buddhist nation. By and large they constituted the great majority who bore the brunt of the Eelam wars and finally took our motherland to victory over Facist Tamil Terrorism.
The lot of these patriots must be made better for they are the only resource that we have left with to defend our land should the present international conspiracies bear fruit in Eelam V. The current administration must not get fooled by the Colombians nor by the Christians and the Christian Church who are trying to pull wool over their eyes.
The local government elections show clearly that the Eelam demand is still on the cards, although back again they are on to ” Little Now more Later” policy.

This government has forgotten who are important voters and who are unimportant voters. It will suffer the consequences.

Tamils (only from North and east) want political solution, (more rights to their politicians than development.)
The poor Tamils in the north suffer same as Sinhalese in the south. But Sinhalese sacrificed their life to free the country from the Terrorist. Tamils were killed during the war. We all must understand Tamils do not purposely
support anyone. They have lack of long distance goal. Becuause of selfwishness of Tamil politicians. There is
a terrorism within Tamil Community. Which Shows the world Sinhala as enemies toTamils and benefiting.

Tamil aspiration get all they can, keep Sinhala people out of northand East as well as allow them to expand to any where in the south as free as they can; allow them to tamilize everything in every possible way such naming, festivals, building kovils; and they must serve people inthe South in Tamil as they can not learn Tamil which is grand language than the Sinhala.
On the other hand Sinhala journalists and people as well accept and follow tamilization of the country and people are worried about tamils because they scream as there is no tomorrow and they are in great trouble.
Sinhala people can not have aspirations because they are the majority in Sinhale (which is another banned word there) even though 100 million tamils, unfortunately have, only a State and, not a country.

Well, Tamils have shown that they don’t want to be under a Sinhalese Central Government by showing their true colors and putting their ballots to TNA. TNA now says they want a settlement for the problem in the North.!! What problem? Their TAMIL TIGER TERRORISTS was the cause, so they should make sure that TAMIL TIGER WOULD NEVER RAISE ITS HEAD AGAIN.!! So it is their problem.!!
SL Government should not dance to the tune of TNA, but get TNA to dance to SL Government music. These Tamil politicians are greedy, cunning and secretly planning to get rid of Sinhalese and other minorites in Northern and Eastern provinces, popularize Tamils, and if there is a single loop-hole, they still want to have a separate state of Tamils, and who knows, many other parts of Sri Lanka, once they are given a chance.(like Hilter, who wanted a little piece of all the neibouring countries).!! Where ever they go, they want a piece of that land, as they organized a coup in Fiji, had some problems in Singapore, and now have become a nuisance to many countries.
Yes, SL Gvernment is under heavy pressure from foreign countries. However most of these countries support the EELAM CAUSE and very eager to help Tamils, because they are the minority.!! However all these Tamils have gone to the extent of demonizing, tarnishing the image of Sri Lanka, its government, and its people. They are so selfish, they only want sympathy for them and not for any other minority or Sinhalese people. How about the majority and other minorities, who suffered at the hands of TAMIL TIGER TERRORISTS, lost their kith and kin, livelyhood.!!
SL government is not under any obligation to develop norther or eastern provinces, as the bloody TAMIL TIGER TERRORISTS started the war, killed many interlectuals, politicians, police, army, innocent Sinhalese, Tamils and other monorities. Most of the Tamils helped LTTE TERRORISTS, some because of the fear and some because they had the secret desire to have a TAMIL STATE.!! They are the very people, who have now shown their real feelings and that they are still supporting the Tamil movement. Even though SL Government has done a lot to develop this area, these people have taken it for granted.!! Why can’t those bogus Refugees and other Tamils migrated to foreign countries help develop northern province, without only shedding ‘CROCODILE TEARS”? Specially the two old tamil women working in the UN can donate some money from their big salaries to help their own.
If the SL Government bend to the demands of TNA, they that will be the beginning of trouble, as most Sinhalese people don’t want any more divisions, wars even though Tamils will start their music again. Therefore having Government troops, police, and other administration under SL Central government is necessary in the northern and eastern provinces. Otherwise, there will be repercussions and SL people will have to get visas to travel in thier own country.!!
Meanwhile, as the majority in Sri Lanka, Sinhalese also would like to see developments in the western and southern provinces and other parts of Sri Lanka too. Why do so much these ungrateful/unhappy people, tarnishing the image of SL, its Government, Government Officials, and Sinhalese at every turn, when ever they get an opportunity to do so.?
SL GOVERNMENT SHOULD BE REALLY CAREFUL DEALING OR NEGOTIATING WITH ‘TNA’ AS THEIR ULTIMATE ASPIRATION IS A BIG, OPEN SECRET.!!
