The Honourable Minister of Industries and Commerce, Mr, Rishard Badiuddin alleges thatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ UNHCR and INGOsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ have startedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ discriminating again, against Muslims and Sinhalese, in Jaffna.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

It was on the 30th October 1990, if I remember right that the LTTE TAMILS ordered about 40,000 Muslims to leave Jaffna withinƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ TWO HOURS,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ taking with them only Rs 500.00.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The LTTE TAMILS plundered all the wealth left over by the Muslims, including their Gold Jewellery. They ethnically cleansed Jaffna of the Muslims and the Sinhalese too. Altogether about 80,000 Muslims and Sinhalese were ethnically cleansed from the Peninsula.

The whole of Sri Lanka thinks that the situation has now changed in Jaffna. No. The murky racist ideology still lingers.

THE UNHCR AND THE INGOs have subtley taken over from where the damning LTTE Tamils left, to discriminate against the Muslims and the Sinhalese.

The Honourable Minister alleges that the Jaffna Divisional Secretary and Government Officials, are ill treating about 2000 Muslims who have come to back to their homes in Jaffna. They have refused to register these Muslims, and about 1600 of them returned back, and the same fate awaits the balance 400.

The voice of the Honourable Minister should reverberate in the halls of Legislature, and the sleeping Ministers who are responsible to provide an immediate remedy, should wake up.

The Government should find out why the UNHCR and INGOs, are discriminating against the Muslims, and possibly the Sinhalese too. They must find out who these NGOs are and KICK THEM OUT OF JAFFNA.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ They must also find out how the UNHCR is involved in this discrimination.

It is high time the Government took this issue very seriously, and make sure that all the Sinhalese and Muslims who were chased out by the LTTE Tamils, are rehabilitated in their original homes in Jaffna and the Peninsula. They should have the same facilities and privileges given to the Tamils who are being rehabilitated.

its starting again? in the beginning of the 80’s people complained about the positive discrimination by the GSL. Uni places ad job where created for tamils, plants in the north opend etc. Muslims and Singhales kicked out of their houses and business in the 90’s. many of them are stil IDP’s. this wont help to reconcile people, the poor singhalese and those who belief in “one nation – one people ” will not de satisfied! only equal treatment and equal rights; one man – one vote will do. everybody wants democracy then we have to except this and the fact that the majority rules. thats democracy! people have the right to live anywhere in their own country! You will not hear Singhalese demand that all the Tamils in Colombo and elswhere are sen to the North or East. The GoSL has to do something, and has to treat all the people equal!

At least Minister Badiuddin is there to re-settle and speak for the Muslims in the North. There is no such Minister speaking for the Sinhala people who lost their homes in the North.

Rishad Badiuddin is the none other he is the Minister. He can change it. IF he can silently gather evidence to prove it he can chase out those NGOS and UNHCR or can get rid of those individuals working for those organizations.

FYI,Not only muslim & Sinhalese did not settled back to their original place before all riots ( from 1956 to 1983 Tamils & Sinahalese , & muslim from Jaffana ) but also Tamils also.
I am not making up Sir , I give a example (if you are not old enough please ask your father for evident) in Panchikawadda road in Mardna , colombo 10, atleast 30 shops ( from Tower hall to junction ) before 1983 riots , the have been burned to ash & but why theire is not a single shop back again , Why?

You are wrong, Tamil did not settle back to thier original place even 1956 riots affected people yet, Also no point of taking about this old story again again.

eg: How many Muslim minister in SL Govt now ( SL Justis minister is a Muslim ) but still Jaffna muslims living in Puthalam not settle back ( LTTE was kicked out from Jaffna long time, last 20 years SL forces fully controled jaffna pensula).

Why do you compare the ltte tamil racists to our beloved SL Forces? We have to assume the TNA voted tamils and ltte tamil terrorists are the real racists.
Even if the SLG poured mostly all the resources to rebuild the N&E, they voted to the same ltte proxy TNA. They are real ungrateful.
More and more Sinhalese and Muslims should be settled in the North and those people should be supported by the SLG through Sinhalese authorities – not by tamil racists.

How many Tamils, Muslims or Singlam killed is not the issue. Ugly racism was created by most Tamils including you, is responsible for all killings and Tamils started terrorism and should take responsibility for it. I said “including you” because if you are given a Tamil Eelam you are always happier. If this is not the case I have no argument and I have to respectfully agrre that two of you are exceptional Tamils ( don’t even have to mention).

Can any of our Tamil friends tell me ANY incident where 100 people worshipping or doing religious work brutaly gunned down by Sinhalese after carfull planning to do it ? Your LTTE heroes did it in Anuradhapura and KATTANKUDI .
Riots are riots instigated by Tamils , mass riots are never planned murder. Lack of law and order however is government’s fault ( not Singalam fault because Tamils are also in the Governement).
All Tamils killed are the fault of all the ugly racism created by UGLY TAMIL of the past.

At the 1958 riots (started by Thanthai Chelva) many Sinhalese were killed, chased away (one example is Sarath Fonseka’s family) and attacked by Tamil thugs.
Racism cannot be eliminated from SL as long as RACIST political parties are there. ANY political party with a race term is a racist party BY DEFINITIION.
e.g. Tamil National Alliance (many voters, many seats in parliament, etc. Biggest racist party in the country.), Tamil United Liberation Front, All Ceylon Tamil Congress, Ilanka Tamil Arasuk Kachi, Muslim Congress, Sihala Urumaya (no seats in parliament)

SL cannot be BOTHERED to resolve Tamil people’s SPECIAL problems (problems others don’t have).
Tamils along with others should resolve SL problems.
If they continue to vote for TAMIL National Aliens, they are part of the problem. First they should stop voting for TAMIL National Aliens. That is a good start.
If not there is only a military solution which is perfectly OK.

Mr Chelva was do Ghadiyam (sattiya kiram at Gale face) , I hope every one have rights (even in velikada prison ) in our lanka to have sattiya kiram ( fasting eg: recently Hon Miniter Wimal done for face to dead …. ?) .

If we extract essence of comments that are posted in varous blogs on Sri Lankan political matters, one would note that insight of average Tamil commentator is not that of thurais, andylingams, Jimmys. Key words or common words in all of them are ‘home land’, ‘Federal’, ’13A plus’ and ‘Eelam’. They seemed to think, if only they use those words more often, it would help them achieve their goal – Eelam.
For one thing there will never be 83 types of riots ever again because Sinhalese by far want to believe that riots against Tamils had never taken place. They regret it and are ashamed of such duing by a few bandits and thugs, and UNP ones at that. Neither do they want to keep reminiscencing the atrocities on the part of Tamils. They mention it only when provoked as a tit for tat. But vast majority of Sinhalese know very well that there is no point harping on about the wretched acts of the past.
So, from what I could see, enemies of Tamils are not Sinhalese but themselves, their leaders and their pre Waddukkodai mentality.
If only they differentiate the difference between pre Waddukkodai mentality and genuine Tamil grievances and demand the government put those genuine grievances right, no Sinhalese would object it. Indeed they would support Tamils to achieve it. And thereafter, if they integrate with Sinhalese like the Muslims, once again sky will be the limit for them.

NO Canada, No US and NO Europe allow Chinese UN spies, Russian UN spies Arab UN spies and or Sri lanka UN spies into their countries. So why Sri lanka have to accept them.

The 1958 riot was started by Chelva and Amirthalingam.
Ghandhi NEVER used his methods for TAMIL ONLY demands. He fought for hundreds of races. Not like the bloody racist Chelva who dragged Tamils to war and DEFEAT.
Don’t forget Sajith Premadas’a father was killed by Tamil Tigers. You may have forgotten it but he hasn’t.
Tamil grievances are best addressed in Tamil Nadu.
