LTTE Hype and CHOGM Proceedings!

Dear Prime Minister Julia Gillard,

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Amidst all adversities against the Sri Lankan President and the countryƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s participation in the conference, you, foreign affairs Minister Mr.Kevin Rudd and the Attorney General R. Mcclelland averted a serious breach of the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Nations. For that I express my sincere gratitude from the bottom of my heart.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Australian media, International Court of Jurors Australia, Eminent Persons Group and the litigation initiated by the LTTE tried every trick in the book, built up to and during the CHOGM conference to suspend Sri Lanka from the Commonwealth of Nations and to deprive Sri Lanka hosting 2013 CHOGM.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  But it wasƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ another defeat to scheming LTTE rump to lick their wounds, wear the soiled tail between the legs and limp back to the drawing board!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Although Sinhalese are the majority in Australia, they have no voice, the media is either invaded or bought by the LTTE rump as they have enough funds collected through forced subscriptions from the Tamils whereas Sinhalese do not resort to such harassment on their community. It is only via emails, letters and faxes that the Sinhalese educate those who needs to be told. It appears these methods do not bring the desired effects in the absence of green notes! But the TRUTH has to prevail, thanks to some decent Parliamentarians both in the Government and in the Liberal party! ItƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s time that Sinhalese have to organize the community for the future General Elections to make them heard by the respective parties. We have to develop a voting strategy very soon!

Source ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” Census 2006 Community Profiles, Australian Bureau of Statistics

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The leaders of the powerful nations have become the voice for the LTTE rump merely for their political survival counting on their votes unashamedly make attempts to punish Sri Lanka quoting fabricated atrocities alleged to have committed by the defence forces. Canada and the UK enjoyed the fruits of their support, however it should not be the case in Australa. Here I quote the vote statistics of the Sri Lankans as stated by the Australian Bureau of statistics.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ They polluted the minds of the population exhibiting infamous CH4 type video clip depicting a LTTE hardcore activist/combatant misleading the public to believe her as a civilian eye witness caught in the last stages of the conflict. Unfortunately it is the taxpayer funded media, ABC & SBS are the main culprits who gave undue publicity in the last four weeks during the CHOGM Conference ending 30th October. Theoretically they have an obligation to give similar exposure time for Audio Visual presentations by the Sri Lankan government side of the story to the public for them to Judge.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ If this requirement is not allowed, it amounts to a conspiracy to denigrate Sri Lanka for an unknown vendetta by the media or under the payroll of the LTTE rump by some producers of the popular programs!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is amazing to see the glorified titles of the supporters LTTE rump has, strangely enough most or none at all has visited Sri Lanka. If the country is so cruel or vicious as portrayed in the media how come the next-door neighbour India sends her IDPƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s or Sri Lankan refugees back to Sri Lanka. Is it because they enjoy to see those returnees being subjected to inhuman harassments?

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It would be wiser for all the misguided/misinformed to be advised by the Australian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka rather than getting sucked by the mythical stories of the LTTE rumps propaganda machinery! Unless of course those who denigrate Sri Lanka is only after the extra income articulating what they have been supplied with no questions asked!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Fortunately the Government is getting reliable information for the Prime Minister to make sensible judgments.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Yours Sincerely,

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Vajeera Warnakulasuriya,

Melbourne
