COVER UP IN PROCESS?

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ You must think Iranian leaders are out of their minds if you were to believe the propaganda that comes out of the empire via its kept press.

First we were told that the FBI had uncovered an Iranian plot to assassinate Saudi ArabiaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s ambassador to the US. From the tales that emanated from the empire the plot looked so ridiculous that it beggars belief. Iran, we were told, had hired a Mexican drug peddler and a used car dealer to carry out the murder. Going by recent Iranian achievements we can safely assume the Iranians are not a bunch of idiots to hatch such a crackpot plan. The story was so absurd that even the poker faced White House spokesman announcing the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”breaking newsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ couldnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t focus his eyes on the cameras. He told the world that the empire had ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”strong evidenceƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, but after the initial hoopla and hype, no such evidence has been given and the story seems to have died down after it was taken away from the TV news.

Nobody in the White House or the kept press ever wondered why Iran would want to kill a Saudi diplomat and bring the wrath of the Arabs upon themselves especially at a time when the Iranian intelligence chief had made a surprise visit to Saudi Arabia to meet his counterpart.

Against this backdrop comes the news that Iran had attempted to assassinate Israeli diplomats in Georgia, India and Thailand in retaliation of the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists for which Iran blames Israel.

Iran blames IsraelƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s MOSSAD of targeting their own ambassadors and pin the blame on Iran in one of its many false flag operations similar to the Lavon Affair in Cairo.

Georgian authorities seem to have got wind of the plot well in advance and so were able to prevent any bloodshed. So the story goes. But surprisingly they have not been able to apprehend any of the alleged culprits. Georgia and Israel have very close relations and it was on IsraelƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s encouragement that Georgia launched an attack on South Ossetia which brought devastating results for the country when Russia counter-attacked.

India too has close relations with Israel as well as Iran. India was about the first nation that told the US to take a hike when the emperor declared an oil embargo on Iran. Under these circumstances it would be downright stupid of Iran to carry out a terror attack there. Incidentally, there have been no reports of any arrests of alleged Iranian agents in New Delhi either.

Thailand has been lucky though. The police there have arrested three Iranians and are on the lookout for more which suggests there might be a breakthrough very soon.

But the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”operationƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ in Thailand was so unprofessional that itƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s hard to believe it was the job of highly trained Iranian agents. And whatƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s more the Thai media had reported that the arrested Iranians were seen with several prostitutes the night before in Pataya and were not too averse to boozing either. They donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t look or sound like your average ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Muslim fundamentalistƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ variety of Iranians, do they?

There is another group of Iranians who might have been ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”contractedƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ to carry out these attacks. They are the Mujahidin-e-Khalq who has vowed to overthrow the Iranian government by any means possible. They are, of course, supported by the West and indeed have their headquarters in Paris and ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Camp AshrafƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ in US occupied Iraq. Syed Suleiman Hussaini, the Shia leader of Thailand, has gone on record saying the suspects were probably a part of an exiled Iranian opposition group.

The possibility of the suspects being contracted by Israel cannot be ruled out if you take into account IsraelƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman saying Israel will support the separatist Kurdistan WorkersƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ Party (PKK) to punish Turkey for its anti Israel stance on the Palestinian issue.

In this background itƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s nice to know that at least some suspects have been caught. Hopefully the truth might come out. But chances are the whole sordid saga might be hushed up if the fingers begin to point at Israel. Already ThailandƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s foreign minister has said that the suspects are not connected to the bombings in New Delhi or Tbilisi suggesting that a cover is probably in the process. Add to that the absence of further tantrums from Netanyahu and the WestƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s fear mongering ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”mainscreamƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ mediaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s silence on the subject and youƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ll get the drift.
