Australian man missing in Sri Lanka was kidnapped by secret police-wife

The Australian Herald Sun ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ (9 April 2012)ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and the rest of the print and electronic media reported that an Australian citizen by the name ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Premkumar Gunaratnam has gone missing in Sri Lanka and his wife feared that he would have been abducted by the Government Secret Police. Now, this a completely misleading story and the editor would have given a second thought to verify of the veracity of the statement made by his wife (She has not seen him since 2006). Without going into further investigation a DEFAT spokeswoman jumped the gun and alleged to have said “We are seeking urgent clarification on the situation from the Sri Lankan authorities,” ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Instead asking for clarification, the DFAT spokeswoman should find out why this so called Australian citizen alleged to have involved in hostile politics in Sri Lanka. He is supposed to have had three aliases according to our External Ministry and find out how he got a Australian Passport in the name of Noel Mudalige where his actual name is Premkumar Gunaratnam.. It appears that Australia is a haven for fake passports. Now the missing man has suddenly reappeared in a Sri Lankan Police Station, what has DFAT got to say now?
He is alleged to have beenƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ involved in the official launch of the Frontline Socialist Party, a political group formed by dissidents from the opposition People’s Liberation Front (JVP) who are used to use terrorism to achieve their goal.
The JVP led two failed bids to violently overthrow governments in 1971 and 1987 in campaigns that left up to 100,000 people dead.
Here is an Australian citizen, gone to Sri Lanka with a fake passport to launch a new political party.
Let me bring to the notice of the relevant Australian authorities and the media ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ an Act passed by The Australian Government as far back as 1978 titled ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-CRIMES (FOREIGN INCURSION AND RECRUITMENT) ACT 1978. According to the Section 6 and 7 of this act, that it is an offenceƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ for an Australian citizenƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ whether within or outside AustraliaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ with intent to engage in hostile activity in that foreign state.
So why this Australian citizen appear in three aliases get involved in hostile political activities in Sri Lanka? The relevant Australian authorities should answer how a same person alleged to have got a Australian Passport with three aliases according to the reports coming from Sri Lanka external Ministry.
What the DFAT or the Government should do now is to bring this mysterious Australian who had been doing hostile politics withƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ a rebel group -breakaway group from JVP) with some LTTE diehards ( those who had been released to the main stream ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…”a mistake made by the Sri Lankan Government to please International western block) in ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Sri Lanka and charge him under this act in which the punishment if proved is 14 years in jail. He has already left Sri Lanka to Australia escorted to the plane by Australian Embassy officials. MISSING MAN ACCORDING TO AUSTRALIAN MEDIA SUDDENLY REAPPEARING? Those authorities and Media who do not know the above mentioned act, please go through the Act and take appropriate action against this Australian citizen without blaming the Sri Lankan Government.
The Sri Lankan Community is aware that so many Australian citizens of Tamil origin who traveled down to Sri Lanka during the conflict and worked hand in glove with LTTE terrorists including training as combatants but Australian Authorities have failed to bring them into books according to this act.

JVP has finally taken to democracy. It is hard to use this outfit to start another insurgency and another 100,000 deaths. JVP is no longer radical to start killing. However flawed, its leadership realized Sri Lanka is the longest standing democracy in Asia. Therefore JVP need to be broken up. A radical splinter group to be formed, which can be remote controlled.
The group leaders need to be given publicity. Create a political grouping out of nothing. The financiers spent few thousand dollars and the embarrassment for Sri Lanka was enormous. Luckily for Sri Lankans, their main design was ill conceived. If things worked out, they could have started bombing in the south. Now, they are back to square one, lets wait for their next nefarious activity.

India is accusing this Tamil Terrorist of murdering 14 IPKF soldiers. Australia must extredite this Tamil Terrorist first to to Sri Lank for overstaying the visa and thereafter to India to face murder charges. One doubts if Australia will ever do that as Australia is the safe heaven for the Tamil Terrorists and Australia is not doing anything against Adela Balasingham. Adela Balasingham is an Australian nurse enjoying the hospitality of UK.

His wife had been dishonest. Because, when questioned she had told she did not know anyone by that name or something like that.
What is the Australian law regarding the name change and using those aliases internchangeably to inquire about people.
Emails and any other information receiving from him should be monitored. If the new political party engages in subversive activity he should not be forgien the next time.

I blame MoD.
This CRIMINAL should have been identified and arrested.
This is what happened. This CRIMINAL enetered the country illegally. He is the GREASE DEVIL. After this he wanted to go back home. But if he tries to go, he gets caught.
So he phoned his wife in Australia and told her to tell the media he is abducted.
Then Australian HC got involved to save him. He was notified. Then he surrendered, got a new passport and flew out of country free of charge without facing criminal charges.
Not the first time.
Thamil Vani also escaped this way. And made the Channel 4 documentary.
When will the MoD learn?
May be we need SF back in action. When SF was there, even VP couldn’t escape! Now EVERY criminal escapes.
AND visits SL again!

I have been following news stories about this guy, and the impending breakup of the JVP. There is something very important about his mission in Sri Lanka that has not been mentioned here.
Apparently, Premkumar Gunaratnam came to Sri Lanka to form a RADICAL WING of the JVP committed to VIOLENT OVERTHROW of the GOSL, just as the old JVP attempted on several previous occasions.
They believe that the main JVP has lost its “revolutionary fervor” and is no longer sufficiently committed to the “viplavaya” as it should be.
With the demise of the militarily powerful LTTE that they could not cope with, perhaps they now believe an opportunity has now opened up for them to resume the viplavaya under “human rights umbrella” of Western Powers critical of Sri Lanka, to establish common cause with the rump-LTTE in Sri Lanka and destablize the country.
The entire operation was clandestine and very hush hush; that is why this rabble rouser entered Sri Lanka secretly hidden under several layers of fake identities. There were several news stories that he had entered the country and was busy with organizational activities, including establishing links with LTTE elements in Sri Lanka and trying to grab the main JVP’s assets, but no one really knew where he could be found.
This man violated Sri Lanka’s immigration laws, and was committing crimes in Sri Lanka. Now that he was caught and deported, he is all of a sudden an INNOCENT VICTIM claiming mistreatment!
