The Secretary Defence is one of the most proven, efficient and able government civil servant, though appointed by presidential decree, as all secretaries of ministries are done, who is honest, straight forward and a man who can make a decision standing. As a Sri Lankan citizen it is his fundamental right, if he has accepted this high office and is discharging his duties competently, in the defence of the Nation. Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa is an individual and an independent person. To the country and the government administration, he is the Secretary of Defence and he has to discharge his duties and responsibilities within the authority designated and entrusted to that post.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ He cannot be taken to task because he is the brother of the President of Sri Lanka making accusations and blaming him the way you have stated in your press statement published. Sri Lanka is proud to have a Leader of the caliber of HE. If Mahinda Rajapaksa was not the President of Sri Lanka, I will not have the mental strength to write this comment from Canada, as a Sri Lankan Canadian citizen. What come may, Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa will remain the Secretary Defence as he is the only one more fit to be in that post to defend Sri Lanka against all security threats internally as well externally by instigated political agents of the Western nations working against the wonderful, beautiful and prospering little Nation of Sri Lanka.

Since the analyst may have good understanding of how governing, law enforcement and proper business ethics being conducted in Canada, for him/her to be so confident in corresponding affairs of Sri Lanka, the standings in the two countries may be comparable. Or he/she may be simply currying favor and could not care less for the 25 thousand war heroes who gave their lives so the governing and business ethics of Sri Lanka may resemble that of a more law abiding country like Canada.

Lieutenant Colonel Nandasena Gotabaya Rajapaksa is a simple very humble person and a true vegetarian.
Only correct decision Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga made during her tenure was to make Lakshman Kadirgamar the Foreign Minister of Sri Lanka.
Mahinda Rajapaksa made such a decision with the appointment of Lieutenant Colonel Nandasena Gotabaya Rajapaksa as the Secretary Defence. But, unlike the voluntary 2nd Lt Anuruddha Ratwatte, who accepted a Generalship and wore all kinds of uniforms and ridiculed the three forces, Lieutenant Colonel Nandasena Gotabaya Rajapaksa a battle hardened soldier decided to be a civilian Defence Secretary.
It was a time the Sri Lankan forces had lost heavily men, equipment, morale and the propaganda war to the LTTE. The army could not even recruit adequate soldiers. Using his skills, Lieutenant Colonel Nandasena Gotabaya Rajapaksa started the Defence website which became an instant hit. With the Api Wenuwen Api campaign Lieutenant Colonel Nandasena Gotabaya Rajapaksa boosted the morale of the forces and the masses and people started to rejoin the army in large numbers.
There was a time when the Army failed to attract even 2,000 to join the army. But, it was Lieutenant Colonel Nandasena Gotabaya Rajapaksa morale booster where he created welfare funds, housing projects for the forces, schools for their kids, proper place in the society which saw large numbers joining three forces and the police.
Many military officers and soldiers who joined hands to defeat the LTTE paid tribute to the Defence Secretary for his vision which saved many lives. The Defence Secretary took care of the forces like a father would do.
People like Anuruddha Ratwatte, Chandrananda de Silva and Austin Fernando could not tell the difference between a real gun and a toy gun, they could not care for the rank and file. But, Sri Lankan Forces had a man who really knew it, who was there in the heart of the battle field and cared for them.
Lieutenant Colonel Nandasena Gotabaya Rajapaksa joined the three forces and the Police together at checkpoints and other areas when dealings with civilians. He improved the intelligence service tremendously which was considered very weak at the time.
Let us not forget that he had a very tough task after Ranil Wickermasinghe and John Amaratunge’s foolish actions with the Millennium City debacle killed over 60 Intelligence officers of the Sri Lanka Army.
Unlike the previous Defence Secretaries he reached out to the masses. Lieutenant Colonel Nandasena Gotabaya Rajapaksa always speak from his heart. Lieutenant Colonel Nandasena Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s talks are always very refreshing because he is sincere, frank and honest.
It was no easy task for him to keep together Sarath Fonseka his Army Commander who refused to speak with his old classmate Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda. But, Lieutenant Colonel Nandasena Gotabaya Rajapaksa kept them together He deserves a gold medal for it. He had to do the balancing act because he was well focused to end terrorism from the island nation.
Now the MAN-gala & RAN-nil started to target Gotabaya Rajapaksa. Lieutenant Colonel Nandasena Gotabaya Rajapaksa got nothing to hide. He does not wear a mask. The man who loves Sri Lanka more than he cares for himself. People who criticize him today should know that they have failed to do a millimeter of what Lieutenant Colonel Nandasena Gotabaya Rajapaksa has done for Sri Lanka. He is a simple but a true hero.
His wife Ayoma is also a very simple lady, who stood by him then and now, with all her simplicity. They continue to live that simple life.

Mangala Pinsiri Samaraweera was involved in massive frauds and enjoyed the privileges of 10 Cabinet Ministers when he was the Ports and Aviation Minister. Mangala Pinsiri Samaraweera was involved in leasing out a land belonging to the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) to a cement company owned by a UNP parliamentarian. Mangala Pinsiri Samaraweera has received a Rs. 12 million gratification after the transaction was completed and the cheque was issued in favour of a Foundation in Matara which was cashed by a close aide.
He is the first Government Minister who fixed a lift to a two storied official residence. The SLPA had allocated over Rs. 2 million for this, he said. A swimming pool was built at his residence when he was the Minister. Mangala Pinsiri Samaraweera utilised over Rs. 120 million drawn from the SLPA for painting and partitioning his office building.
avaMangala Pinsiri Samaraweera defied the Government’s decision to end the monopoly enjoyed by a cement company in relation to unloading cement from the Trincomalee Harbour. Mangala Pinsiri Samaraweera did not allow other companies to engage in unloading cement and the particular company was given full right to unload cement for five years more.
One of the main suspects of the 3.57 billion rupee VAT fraud, Gnanasiri Z. Jayathilake spent millions on the election campaign of former Foreign and Ports Aviation Minister Mangala Samaraweera.
There are some people who are born to serve and lead the mother land and there are some others who are born traitors willing to do anything for their petty personal gains even at the stake of the country. Mangala Samaraweera clearly belongs to latter category. The evil forces against our mother land are more than happy to exploit this type of born traitors to full fill their vicious agenda. As a nation trying to leap forward with rising Asia, we should clearly identify the inception, past behavior, the invisible hands behind them and future agenda of these traitors in order to effectively defeat them.
Mangala Pinsiri Samaraweera is the son of Mahanama Samaraweera, who was a Cabinet Minister of Local Government, Housing, Posts and Telecommunications in Sirimavo R.D. Bandaranaike’s government, and Khema Samaraweera, a member of the Matara Urban Council. Mangala’s father was involved in one of the failed conspiracy against Srimavo Bandaranayaka government and little Mangala may have learned ‘abc’ of conspiracy politics from their parents at very tender age.
Mangala Pinsiri Samaraweera managed to enter into the parliament in 1989 election, when the right of voting was devoid in the South due to JVP terror activities.
In 1988-1989 period, the intensified LTTE attacks, subsequent invasion of Indian army (IPKF) in the North and JVP killings in the South had created political jeopardize in the country. The new imperialism of Western powers exploited this pathetic situation by bringing new generation of comprador politicians in to the helm of Sri Lankan politics. The first round of influence surfaced in the form of INGO and ‘Vikalpa’media activities funded by Anglo-Nordic countries. People like Victor Ivon and Sunanda Deshapriya were raised (using foreign funds) as new generation of king makers in ‘Vikalpa’ media front.
Their choice of next generation of comprador queen was Chandrila Kumaranathunge. Mangala Samaraweera was hand picked as political agent to promote CBK as next generation of “Viharamahadevi’ in Sri Lankan politics.
By that time CBK had not any experience in governing even at Pradesiya Saba (local government) level. However in 1994, she was parade into Sri Lankan politics, attired with traditional ossary and pebble neck lasses, by couple of over ambitious people (avaMangala was prominent among them) and suddenly she was made elected as chief minister of western province.
In less than one year, CBK was selected as the presidential candidate for the main opposition and later elected as the executive president of the democratic socialist republic of Sri Lanka.
A woman who lived in London in isolation suddenly became the president of the country.
These media-politico magicians paraded CBK from London to Colombo and made Chief Minister of Western Province in no time. Before the true aspirations and character of CBK is exposed, they managed to bring her in to the helm of SLFP and later the Sri Lankan nation was fooled and CBK was made the executive president of Sri Lanka.
Throughout the history, people of this country considered unitary of state as the utmost important point. So there came the need for brain wash the ordinary people of Sri Lanka. While senior SLFP members like Mahinda Rajapaksa, Mithreepala Sirisena and Rathnasiri Wickramanayaka refused to involve with that dirty task funded by NGOs, it was Mangala that took to lead of the brainwash campaigns named as ‘Sudu Neluma’ and ‘Thavalama’ movements.
Just as an obedient ox that pulls the cart, Mangala tirelessly drove the ‘Thavalama’ campaign, with his hand picked media mafia lead by Wasantha Raja, traveling round the country. In return for being blind and ardent CBK ally, Mangala suddenly became a key figure with ample political power to serve his Western masters and their local business and political agents.
Mangala who spent most of his time in the backyards of Western embassies were soon made into a key influential figure in Sri Lankan politics. At that time, he was stepping up the political ladder in fast track. It was well known about Mangala’s extravagant expenditures in his ministries particularly for his own personal benefit.
In the CBK government, Mangala got open license to spend any amount for his own benefit and for his political campaigns. It is those who benefited for long time that is still following and supporting Mangala in order to retain their benefits in the future.
One of the favorite topics of Mangala Samaraweera is press freedom. When he was holding ministerial portfolio, we have already witnessed the true side of media freedom under Mangala Samraweera. It is due to the media freedom of Mangala Samaraweera that Editor of private owned Lakbima news paper had to resign. His infamous media briefing with “Thara Ajith” was one of the dirtiest acts against humanity. At that day, a person packed in a sack named as Thara Ajith was presented to media and asked him to answer questions in public. That was the super democracy of Mangala Samaraweera at that time.
avaMangala is a political animal molded in Western world with clear and well defined agenda. He will only labor for them and not flexible to tolerate any other policies. That’s why soon he parted away with Mahinda Rajapaksa government and allied with Chandrika and Ranil to form a new political front to continue their mission. Whether Mangala is in the ruling side or opposition, funding is not a major issue for him. The western political links and INGO agents are more than happy to fund the avaMangala’s political agenda. They make avaMangala to speak and their media mafia flocks in front of this isolated character and promote his vicious comments all over the world.
MANgala is well known for his bachelor life gay links. MANgala is not only promoting flimsy politics, but he has been the political leader of lumpent gay community of Sri Lanka. The personal life of a politician is not a big matter to the nation but when his political activities reflect his personality; it is indeed a big concern to the Sri Lankan nation.

Put Mangala into Lanka’s Hall of Shame, not for sexual orientation, only for misdeeds against the People of Lanka. Mangala can do good deeds in the future and ease out of the Hall of Shame, if he is smart to do so.

Perhaps we can even classify Mangala Samaraweera as a ‘victim’ of the politics of our times, with some of it self created ?
In post Independent Sri Lanka, the differences in the approaches of the -isms on how to run the economy & society (Capitalism, Communism, Socialism) have destabilized Lanka. To gain some stability, a balance of power mainly between Labor & Entrepreneurship (State or Private), must be maintained, as done in Germany after WW II, at the behest of then US Pres. Harry Truman. He could not bring the same rules to USA. Today the German economy is the most stable in Europe. In our near history, particularly the 1970s & 80s, Cold War politics have been the bane of Lanka. It appears to have divided our society and globalised our problems.
Even Adam Smith, the founder of Capitalism stated in his writings that Labor must be cared for, going to the extent of stating that a laborer should be paid in advance even before the work is done, so that the breadwinner can feed his family. This was a great leap forward for labor in those times. We have to use problems as a means to move forward – never succumb to them.
The other factor is the strategic location of Lanka and our various ports, sea & air. How do we reconcile the various factors so that peace is possible in Lanka ? Do we declare all of our ports as International Zones of Peace ?

Ranil Shriyan Wickremesinghe has time and again proved that he is mere character without any leadership qualities. Ranil Shriyan Wickremesinghe just happened to enter politics because he attended Royal College and also happened to be the nephew of Junius Richerd Jayawardana. Ranil Shriyan Wickremesinghe did his best to grab the presidency by the help of his media ancestral heritage, comprodor business community and Western masters. All his attempts were miserably failed.
LTTE successfully prune down the leaders of UNP. The LTTE killer list span from Ranasinghe Premadasa, Lalith Atulatmudali, Gamini Dissanayaka, Ranjan Wijayaratna and many more. This effectively created infertile secondary level leadership in the UNP. There was not any UNP leader in the party in recent past who even dared to call LTTE by the word ‘TERRORISTS’. Ranil Shriyan Wickremesinghe, Mangala Pinsiri Samaraweera and their coterie not only did not dare to fight against separation of our country, but also spoke out against those who were truly committed to the fight against the separation of our country.
We must not forget how Ranil Shriyan Wickremesinghe destroyed Major General Janaka Perera and Major General Lucky Algama, who swallowed Ranil Shriyan Wickremesinghe’s bait and entered into politics. Ranil Shriyan Wickremesinghe did not even bother to accuse their killers, the LTTE.

Ranil Shriyan Wickremesinghe, Mangala Pinsiri Samaraweera and their coterie have no love for anyone, but for themselves. These are very dangerous people, the will do anything to gain power.
Mahinda Rajapaksa is a true born patriotic leader tempered through the current political system. Unlike some others who are made out of the foreign Anglican mold, Mahinda Rajapaksa has deep rooted social and cultural values of our mother Lanka. He provided strong patriotic political leadership in the fight against separation of our country. Any unbiased person will agree that there was hardly any political mistake in that endeavour.
In the last 40 years no other country where terrorism exists have they been able to eradicate terrorism. The most memorable historical factor was winning the war against terrorism. The joint effort of the Armed Forces under the able directives of the Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa and the leadership of President Mahinda Rajapaksa was able to rescue mother Lanka from the evils of Terrorism.
Thousands of former citizens of Sri Lanka are visiting Sri Lanka after several decades owing to the peaceful situation created by Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa and President Mahinda Rajapaksa. All Sri Lankans must remember that if not for Gotabaya Rajapaksa our country will be in disaster.

But foolish Tamil Diahrehhaspora BELIEVES they can peacefully come to SL after the war because SL is afraid of USA and USA is afraid of the Tamil Diahrehhaspora!!

One of them told me they are able to walk in Colombo wearing clothes because of the international community. And the International community is concerned about Tamils ONLY AFTER the war.
