It is the most common feeling in the western Christian world that the Muslims are a grave threat to the supremacy and hegemony of the countries like US, Israel and India; so they must be crushed with an iron hand. Ridiculing the Muslims, victimizing the followers of Islam and targeting their holy places; all these actions are a part of an organized anti-Muslim campaign. Innocent Muslims all over the world are now-a-days protesting against the blasphemous film, Innocence of Muslims, but they donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t know that all their protest would go waste because everywhere they are ranked as losers and beggars.
Their miserable economic condition, their poor performance in the field of science and technology and their every day increasing intolerance for their own brothers is simply undermining them as a nation and community. The western Christian extremists in collaboration with the Jews and the Hindus are doing all their possible to exploit this sorry plight of the Muslims. It is no doubt the real innocence of Muslims that till now they have not recognized their actual enemy, they are always eagerly waiting for a friendly hand from America. Unless the Muslims come out of their baseless and illogical world of imagination tinged with their self-created colours of friendship with US, things could never go in their favour.
Today the most important thing the Muslims need is unity and unfortunately this is the only thing we the Muslims are lacking badly. Every year hundreds of innocent people are deprived of their lives in the name of sectarian violence. A few months back The Guardian UK commented upon the increasing sectarian violence in these words; ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Sectarian attacks are not new in Pakistan, but there has been an upsurge, especially in Baluchistan since at least 2010, in the Kurram and Orakzai tribal agencies bordering Afghanistan, the port city of Karachi and across the Punjab. Now the frosty, picturesque mountain ranges of Gilgit-Biltistan, on the northern border with China, are seeing an increasingly violent sectarian conflict.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚
The most important thing in the present hard time for the Muslims is to realize that this brutal world does not accept the sectarian divide of the Muslims; from US and Israel to India, no one knows who are the Shias, Sunnis, Barailviz or the Deobandiz; they know one thing that they are to crush everyone who claims to be a Muslim. They are simply fighting against Islam and the Muslims. To crush the enemies of Islam, we all will have to join hands together; that is the only way we are left with.
The so-called war against terror has stealthily changed into the war against the Muslims in a very technically and artistically designed manner and the Muslims all over the world have turned a blind eye to this day light reality. The Muslims are being pushed to wall but they are simply busy in issuing fatwas against one another. I still remember the photograph published a few years back in various newspapers showing some American soldiers shooting mercilessly at three Muslims who were taking refuge in a mosque in Iraq.
I am sure the American soldiers might not have asked them before killing which sect of Muslims they belonged to. In the eyes of the anti-Islam forces, neither we are Shia nor Sunni, Deobandi nor Barailvi; we are nothing but the Muslims. Unless we realize this fact, things would ever remain the same. In the larger interest of the Muslim community it is the responsibility of our religious leaders, scholars and philosophers and above all of those who are working as Imams in different mosques to make their followers realize that sectarianism would do nothing but shatter the very foundations of the whole of Islamic society. They must try to make their followers understand that Muslims belonging to different sects believe in one God, one Prophet (PBUH) and one Holy Quran.
They have always been living an exemplary life of complete harmony based on tolerance, mutual respect and reverence which are the basic ingredients of the message of Islam. It is the need of time that the religious leaders of the Muslim community all over the world must come forward and educate the people that sectarianism is a cancer which undermines the whole structure of a social body within no time. The western societies are so intelligent that they never let their sectarian differences hinder their way to progress and prosperity because they are very well aware of the fact that sectarian conflicts leading to extremism simply mar the peace and prosperity of a society. The Muslims must learn a lesson from todayƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s western society
. Extremism, sectarianism and militancy give nothing to a society but destruction, deterioration and decline. For the peaceful nourishment of our society we need to keep a vigilant eye on the elements which are giving air to the baseless and trivial differences among Muslim sects; we must not forget that unity is the basic lesson of Islam. By ignoring this basic lesson we are digging our own graves

Muslims need to separate the rest from Zionist first. No other religion other than Christianity including pre-Chirst Juadism has any opposition.
Critics, inspired by the money and greed ,say Islam is there to distroy all other religions, which is in a way proven by history.
When can these professors of Islam can come out clean and say “no, we are ready to burn up some parts of Quran and respect Buddha statues” ? Christians and Jews will then follow.

Muslims are one nation.unlike other religion followers.they have enough unity.they have wealth,knowledge,resources etc.all those atrocities are planed and executing by western hegmony and it’s collobrators of puppet governments.(surely not Muslims)to slow-down the growth of Islam.Islam will conquer the western world within this century,we like it or not.it’s reality.already western europe come under the Muslim influence.India is afraiding because,next partition is ready within couple of decades,probably 2030-40.west bengal will declare as Muslim country,with it’s capital as Kolkata.it has already 35 % Muslims.India is at the brink of collapse.When western oriented empires will fall,Islmic nation will shine as new empire,as not opressing empire as we think,but it will be the golden era of humankind.

While we are accusing Islam and Muslims,for extremism.we fail to recognize our atrocities against our own people.see daily news papers and other media.we are specialists in raping our own daughters,killing parents,monks are raping fellow little monks and killing,monks are raping pregnant ladies,Monks are under guise of saucery,raping the ladies,Bishop and fathers are killing,the patients with wrong blief’s,Bishop and fathers are raping fellow nons,Bishop and fathers are raping small chidren,in Kurunegala,Father raped his own daughter,infront of his wife,and lot more,etc.we fail to save our innocent citizens since independence,we’ve killed around 200000 people,due to LTTE violence 75000.by our own Sinhalese remain 125000.where is our moral rights to speak against a peaceful community of Srilankan Muslims.(Muslims may experience some shortcomings,but you can’t compare with our atrocities against our own fellow Sinhalese Buddists).we have to correct ourself before indexing other.

It is well known that Buddha rejected Creator God as a myth but never condemned those who believe in a Creator or creation. Muhammad on the other hand based his religion on the Creator God and had wars to force his belief and increase numbers of his followers. Muhammad killed many who hadn’t converted to his religion to set an example for others.
A true Muslim loves Muhammad more than his family and emulate him through out his life. If that is so, a true Muslim just cannot respect Buddha or Buddhists.
There are only a few nice verses about Jesus, Moses and other Bible characters in Koran. But there are as many times of nasty verses about them in the first ten Suras of Koran alone. But understanding the Koran is not so easy. One has to read it with the applicable verses of Hadith to understand what Muhammad’s God meant by that particular verse.
Let me give three examples for the time being:
Qur’an 2:191 “And kill them wherever you find and catch them, and drive them out from where they have turned you out; for Al-Fitnah (polytheism, disbelief, oppression) is worse than slaughter.”
Slaying them ‘wherever you find and catch them’ is clearly offensive, not defensive. So the prior verse has already been abrogated. And there is no moderation when one says that a belief, or even verbal abuse, is worse than slaughter.
Qur’an 2:192 “But if they cease/desist, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.”
To be “forgiven” and not “slaughtered,” one had to cease/desist meaning he had to bow in submission and pay the zakat.
2:193 says; “And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief) and religion is only for Allah. But if they cease/desist, let there be no hostility except against infidel disbelievers.”
Muslims have been ordered to fight until the only religion is Islam – world conquest. And even when they have overrun the world, there shall be no safe haven for ‘infidel disbelievers.’
If anyone wants to argue I have quoted out of context, let them tell us their version and I will answer appropriately.

The author calls Muslims – not to reality, but towards a dream. Unity among Muslims will be a dream as long as they accept the Imam of the age as foretold by Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH). While Muslims are divided into sects, it is impossible to get them united. Moreover, unity in diversity is also not the teachings of Islam. Accept this Imam of the age who is Imam-al-Mahdi – Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian, peace be on him. Today his Community is the only Community in Islam is a dynamic community under strong leadership (Khalifa) appointed by God. They are united under one umbrella. they spread in 200 countries and about 220 million. No salvation for Muslims except accepting Imam=al-Mahsi – Promised Messiah. Those verse’s were revealed the time of Fathahe mecca(victory of Mecca).(Prophet mohamed was born on Mecca,and infidels were drive them out from mecca.once they (Prophet Mohamed) want to come to Mecca for pilgrimage,meccans refuse to allow them,and they went back to madina,in that year.next year when they want to come to Mecca for pilgrimage,infidels were diclare war against Prophet Mohamed and his companions).but when they enter the Mecca,no any infidels were killed.but all have been pardened,and set free.mean time you have to check the verse’s of same Surah before and after those verse’s.then you can understant the truth.

I am studying the religions, for the past two years for my PHD,and i have realized,that Christian world is with full of evil.all the religions are talking about sins, such as adultery,burglery,murder etc(five major sins).all of them abandoned in western Christian world.i wonder how they are coming to teach us love,mercy,human rights etc.while they do all the sins with pride.

Prof Ali, it is sad to note that an educated person like you are so ignorant of the fact that Muslims are responsible for so many atrocities of the world at this moment. They are involved in many crimes and the latest in Bangladesh. If you purposely ignore please refer to the article above this article in Lanka Web. It is not only the Cristian and others are concerned about Muslims but all other religions including Buddhist around the world are worried about them. In Sri Lanka Muslims are involved in all sort of Illegal activities. They bully innocent Sinhala Villages and take over properties, built houses illegally in Paddy fields and cut down forests. The worst is the building of a Mosque over the public road and paddy field in Bibile Road Gampola where Sinhala people including monks now have to walk under the feet of Muslims in the mosque. Do you think this is right Prof Ali? People like you who obtained your education from western countries should advice and promote harmony and tell the muslims to do the right thing not the wrong things.
It is useless of obtaining degrees, doctorates etc if you can’t do the right thing. So Prof Ali please guide these misguided muslims not to follow the Koran (as explained above) but to use common sense of how to live rightfully with everyone irrespective of their religion or race.
Can you also explain to me why is that all the Muslims from any country wants to migrate to Western countries and not to any of the Arabian countries and then complain about that country? Is it because they don’t trust what Allah has given or not given to these Muslim countries? I am confused. All Muslims should migrate to Saudi and other Muslims countries and leave others to live the way they want then there will be no more of these troubles you are talking about. Then muslims can do what they want and others can do they want. Please please go back to those Allah given countries and live peacefully. Please clarify if I am wrong.

Professor Ali Sukhanver should surely know thee difficulty of developing unity among Muslims.
Even to provide universal suffrage to Muslims in Muslim countries about a generation away, bespite the uprisings. It will be hard for ladies in Saudi Arabia to win the right to drive a car, or shiites in Baharain to win the vote. Past attempts have been subject to ridicule in the case of the former amd brutally suppressed in the latter.
Compare it with the many biscussions Buddha has had with believers of Gods, those who worshipped trees, others who believed in extreme forms of non-violence like Jains in his time.
Luckily not all Muslim countries have adopted Sharia law. Women conduct their affairs in style in Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia or Bangladesh some rising to become heads of state.
Sadly the women even in countries wherethey are treated with respect and equality are turning to cover their faces in a hiijab – perhaps the frwn up girl’s face should only be seen by the husband who will marry her one day! I like to hear the Professors views about adopting Sharia law in all Muslim countries.

For a man who is studying religion for a Ph.D, I say, your writing is appalling and difficult to comprehend and your knowledge about Muhammad, Muhammadans and Islam is rather amateurish.
Anyway let me pen just a few extracts from Hadith: Tabari VIII:160 “Allah’s Apostle set out on the expedition against the people of Mecca in the month of Ramadan.” Now, Ramadan is the Muslim holy month. Qur’an 9:5 says; “When the sacred forbidden months for fighting are past, fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, beleaguer them, and lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war.” That means, Koran prohibits fighting during Muslim holy month of Ramadan. So, why on earth Muhammad began ‘an expedition’ meaning, the conquest of Mecca in the month of Ramadan?
Tabari VIII:175 “Among the terms on which the Messenger and Quraysh had made peace was there should be neither betrayal nor clandestine theft. The Quraysh aided the Bakr with weapons. That is why Muhammad attacked the people of Mecca.” So, there was no pilgrimage to Mecca by Muhammad or his believers. It’s all a war strategy to loot for Muhammad and his followers. Read ABOVE; ‘That is why Muhammad attacked the people of Mecca.’
Tabari VIII:161 “Matters stood thus between the Banu Bakr and the Khuza’ah when Islam intervened to separate them and occupy people’s minds….” In other words, they used to be friends before Islam poisoned Arabia.
Tabari VIII:161 ”… The Bakr entered into a pact with the Quraysh, and the Khuza’ah entered into a pact with the Muslims. The truce having been concluded, the Banu Bakr took advantage of it against the Khuza’ah. To retaliate, they wanted to kill the persons responsible for killing their men. So the Bakr killed a Khuza’ah man. The Quraysh (Muhammad’s tribe) aided the Bakr with weapons, and some Quraysh fought on their side under the cover of darkness until they drove the Khuza’ah into the sacred territory.”
And all of this was taking place in Mecca. The Khuza’ah had come bearing arms. The Quraysh didn’t go out looking for trouble. By protecting their town and honouring an alliance they had formed with the Bakr, the Quraysh were accused of attacking the Khuza’ah, a tribe supposedly allied with the Muslims.
Tabari VIII:162/Ishaq:541 “The Banu Bakr said, ‘We have entered the sacred territory. Be mindful of your God.’ To which they replied, ‘Today we have no God so we’ll take our revenge.’ That night the Bakr attacked the Khuza’ah and killed a man named Munabbih. He had a weak heart. He said, ‘I am as good as dead anyway, whether they kill me or not, for my weak heart has ceased beating.’ The others ran away and escaped. Munabbih was caught and killed. …When the Quraysh [Muhammad’s own tribe] leagued together with the Bakr against the Khuza’ah and killed some men [One died of natural causes, not some, and the Bakr caught him, not the Quraysh.], they broke the treaty because of the pact the Khuza’ah had with Muhammad. This was one of the things that prompted the conquest of Mecca.”
Meccans manhandled Muslim militants at Mu’ta. Muslim militants had to go home empty-handed, with their tails between their legs. Muhammad was a whisper away from losing control. The mercenary Muslims wanted booty and the peaceful Muslims wanted to be left alone. So Muhammad needed an easy kill, and he needed it now. READ ABOVE: ‘This was one of the things that prompted the conquest of Mecca.’ So attack on Mecca is a conquest all right. Don’t make up pilgrim business.

No matter how many “infidels” are slaughtered in cold blood, terrorist atrocities etc, Muslims are NEVER to blame. They will always find a way to rationalise it or blame the victims. The West is a handy scapegoat, as are zionists. In other words are robots and bear no responsibility for their actions. In other words, even if the West or Israelis infiltrate Muslim groups to stage terror attacks, individual Muslims who fall prey to these machinations must be held responsible for their actions. Hold a red rag to a bull and it will charge. Likewise with Muslims. Question the truth of the Koran and you could get murdered by these bullish morons. Time for Sri Lankan Muslims to be made to learn and practice meditation and loving kindness and compassion to animals. This must be taught at the primary school level. No questions asked. These precepts are for all religions. Healthy questioning of the truth of the Koran must be encouraged. Muslim women must receive full protection of the law, no exceptions made for Muslims abusing women. Remember, the Maldives was once a Sinhala-Buddhist country. Now its a “Arabised” shadow of what it once was. Sri Lanka must form alliances with any group to rid the country of Islamic expansionists. Just like we are resisting Indian interference in our domestic affairs, we must also resist Middle Eastern proseletysation and interference. There has to be the same law for ALL citizens. No polygamy for Muslims. The British started making exceptions for the Muslims. This is why riots of 1915 happened. Time to stop exceptions for some citizens.

The reason is if that is allowed millions would have left Islam and by now there would not be Islam. This is exactly the same way Muhamad selected his prey to preach and deceive when he was living. Enough blaming. We must act before others act on SL to get rid of these extremists. We don’t want US, Indian or Israeli DECAPITATION ATTACKS on SL Muslims. So we must rid these extremists ONLY before they give them collective punishment with collateral damage.
There is nothing bad about SL being a Sinhala Buddhist country. That is why all the religions survive in SL!!
I’m not a Sinhalese or a Buddhist but I feel safe in Sinhala Buddhist SL (especially in Sinhala majority towns, etc.) than anywhere else.
If you love SL, protect it as a Sinhala Buddhist country. If you don’t, GO BACK TO WHERE YOU ILLEGALLY CAME TO SL FROM. Peacefully. No need for violence.

Lets look at Muslim unity logically.
What if Sunni, Shite and other Muslims are united? They will issue Fatwas on all others, they will be too powerful, they will have Jihad everywhere, they will kill all infedels.
This is UNACCEPTABLE.
So we must ensure Muslims are NEVER united.
e.g. Gadafi.
When in SL he told Muslims to multiply fast and take over SL in 1976.
In 2011 Muslim-Muslim violence killed Gadafi. No such threats as in 1976 were issued by him in 2011.
e.g. Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Maldives
Why they attack Buddhists?
Because they are almost 100% Muslims and NO INTERNAL conflicts.
Pakistan, India, Indonesia with more Muslims don’t attack Buddhists as much as those 3 countries. Why? Because they are ENGAGED in war with other sectarian Muslims.
Most important thing is, then they can’t blame others for their misery.
e.g. Saudi verses Iran
Grand showdown. Others are safe. When this increases Saudi will not have enough money to give to Wahabists and Iran will not have money to give to Sufis in SL.

I appreciate you have written something. But quoting a selected verse and discarding what we have quoted from your Holy Books as “polluted verses of the Noble Quran” is no answer to cover up Islam’s shortcomings comes to light.
You may not know this; but Buddha had advised us some 2550 years ago that we should not accept anything because a teacher says so, or tradition says so, or family says so, or religious founder says so, or even Buddha says so. He advised us to think ourselves and ponder before making a decision. And that is exactly what we are doing here. It’s not fair to accuse us for following Buddha’s advice. After all it’s sensible advice not just for Buddhists but for anyone. Isn’t it? Now, it’s up to you to face our queries and answer them rationally.
Now let me tell you what goes in my mind: What Muhammad founded was not a religion, or a cult, or a way of life but a constitution and manifesto for him to tame and rule the tribally divided Arabs. Muhammad called his followers a nation called Islam. He used Jew’s scriptures to formulate basic tenants of his constitution and manifesto. He put together the rest to suit each and every situation he faced. Muhammad claimed it all came from Allah. But, when he felt ashamed of Allah’s earlier revelations he attributed them to Satan. Whenever Muhammad craves to do socially unacceptable things he got Allah to pour out new revelations abundantly to get his way.
Once you join the Islam nation, there is no way out. Islam’s constitution and manifesto brainwashes its subjects to love Muhammad more than their life and family. And that propel them to defend all vile and lecherous acts of the founder blindly. Islam nation go mad even on a simple cartoon or a film. There is no place for a rational argument on the constitution and manifesto of Islam nation within or outside. Those who tries to discuss or evaluate shortcomings in it, would be issued with a fatwa and condemned to death.
In the sense what I explained above, I am afraid, I do not agree with Professor Ali Sukhanver that Muhammadans are divided. When it comes to rule humans, division is a must to control and continue. That’s what has happened in Islam, but on principal, Islam nation is united to turn the whole world Islam. What do you say?

Take for example, anyone can openly criticise Buddhism but none will get agitated even when Muslims try to sell shoes with the picture of Lord Buddha in Colombo few months ago. Buddhists didn’t burn the idiot’s shop or house or kill anyone. Importantly Leela has quoted the name and numbers from the Koran. If anyone can please clarify those quotes if they are wrong. That’s all you have to do rather than trying to insult Leela’s intelligence. Then you guys become not only the laughing stock of the world but shows what a bunch of idiots you are. For argument sake let’s accept what HussainFahamy says, and that is; “EVERY VERSE HAS TO BE TAKEN IN CONTEXT AT THE TIME.” Now, there is only one way to know what had been going on “AT THE TIME”. That is, find as many relevant Hadith writing to each Koran verse and then correlate it and understand it. Actually then, the whole thing can be absorbed anyone like a nasty set of short stories like. But to find relevant writing of Hadith is very time consuming unless of cause someone else has already done it for you. In my case I have done this tedious work many times and we are willing to do it again and again if it serves any purpose.
Let me put it this way: Bukhari:V4B52N268 (Hadith) “Allah’s Apostle said, ‘War is deceit.'” When one combine this with Qur’an 8:7, “Wipe the Infidels out to the last,” and Qur’an 8:39, “So fight them till all opposition ends and the only religion is Islam,” you get an ongoing state of war that encourages Muslims to continually deceive and murder infidels up to date. So, is not ‘TAKEN IN CONTEXT’ can be used the way one wants it. But Muhammadans use such phrases to get out of awkwardness they face when questioned on certain verses like sriyanik and many others had done bove.
Now, let’s take few more Koran verses like this. Koran 6:115 says; “The word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and justice.” And 4:74 says; “And who is more truthful in his word than Allah?” I deliberately selected those two verses for two reasons: For such verses, likes of HussainFahamy would not say, “EVERY VERSE HAS TO BE TAKEN IN CONTEXT AT THE TIME” because; these two verses mean; all Muslims accept Allah’s words are the most truthful in conveying information, the most just in ruling, and the fairest in conversation at all time and has no relation to “CONTEXT AT THE TIME”.
Similarly, Qur’an 5:17 says; “Verily they are disbelievers who say, ‘The Messiah, son of Mary, is God.'” What Allah meant here has no CONTEXT as well; it applies to all times then and now.
Problem is; there are literally hundreds of vile Koran verses that can be used by Muslim Jihadists against anyone and everyone in today’s context. I need not quote them again for so many commentators have done it earlier in this blog. What I am driving at is public awareness of Allah, Koran, Muhammad and Muhammadans. But HussainFahamy, Mohammed Muhndiram and et al would say; “EVERY VERSE HAS TO BE TAKEN IN CONTEXT AT THE TIME.”

Fahmy, The usual answer. Let me educate you and it is upto you to learn the truth if you have the guts. I have given the quotes from Koran, Hadith and Sura. To make things easy for you I have given the reference also so hopefully you will understand first Apostle and what Muhamad did.
We know from historic Islamic documents that during Muhammad’s lifetime, and the lifetimes of the next four “Rightly Guided Caliphs”, tens of thousands of Muslims left the faith of Islam and thousands were killed. On a large scale the Muslims made war on groups that chose to leave Islam and massacres of apostates occurred.
What is Apostle: A person commits apostasy (irtidad) or becomes an apostate (murtadd) if he describes himself a Muslim and then at a later time takes one of the following actions in a public way:
1) Converts to another religion, e.g. becomes a Christian or Buddhist or Baha`i etc.
2) Rejects a part of the Qur`an after recognizing it to be a part of the Qur`an.
Even Muhamad personally carried out this crime.
After Muhammad took Mecca, he ordered that 10 people to be killed, and several of them were apostates. Here is the list of names found in Ibn Sa’d’s Kitab al-Tabaqat al-Kabir. The quote is from Volume 2, page 168.
“The apostle of Allah entered through Adhakhir, [into Mecca], and prohibited fighting. If the creator can create, he has the authority to kill.
Those who getting killed or their close relatives and friends will not have any pain or suffering because it was ordered by Allah.
You must take all the above “killing” according to the “CONTEXT”.
In Buddhism too “killing” has been approved. Only killing Buddha approved was killing of defilements in the mind.

I read the above and searched and read the befores and afters. But still I cannot agree on KILL, CAPTIVE, AMBUSH, etc.
No one can justify such action over beliefs.
Is it possible to rewrite the Koran EXCLUDING those violent words but to give the spiritual message ONLY? As you know I’m not against Islam. I’m only against violence in the name of religion and unprovoked violence. Unfortunately the two are corelated at the moment.

The Creator of the Universe has all RIGHTS and can punish whom He wishes. God is the Ultimate Judge. Lorenzo, I think you have got JRJ myopia. US doesn’t care if Wahabism spreads so long as they dont do it on Western soil and they constrain China and control 3rd world and appease Muslim voters in the West, whose numbers are exploding. Correct, we must weed out the terrorists and Wahabi sympathisers but must not hurt the religious feelings of ordinary Muslims.
