This was an amazing essay based on lies and misinformation.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  You have, right through your career as an MP have shot your poison darts at Sri Lanka supporting the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Tamil Diaspora.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Fair enough Patrick,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  as I donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t expect any different as you seem to have a lot ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  separatist-Tamils as friends in the GTA.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  And I also notice that you have twinned with the NDPƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Tamil MP for Scarborough-Rouge River, Rathika Sitsabaiesan, helping her to peddle the Channel 4 anti-Sri Lanka videos but never the one like ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Lies Agreed UponƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ that debunks the Channel 4 video ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Killing FieldsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  And that tells much about your dis-affection for Sri Lanka.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  And I donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t like it as I am originally from Sri Lanka and a good Sinhalese to boot and who is passionate about his Motherland.

And then you were so upset during a TV interview lambasting the Sri Lankan Government for not issuing you a visa to travel to Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s North to check on the Tamil refugee Welfare camps, when Canada had refused entry visas for fiveƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Sri Lankan cabinet ministers and one being Douglas Devananda, the Tamil Cabinet Minister representing the Tamils in the North.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  And I asked you in a letter, what is so important about you Patrick, that Sri Lanka should issue a visa for you, whenƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Canada had denied the same request to fiveƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Sri Lankan cabinet ministers to enter Canada.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  There is something called unspoken diplomatic reciprocity.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Perhaps, this was it. And you had little choice but to cut out your pretentious importance, and live with the Sri Lankan GovernmentƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s decision. That was too bad.

Now that I have established where you are coming from, let me now deal with your strange Press Release.

You said, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Mr. Brown is also greatly concerned over reports of attacks, continued harassment and detention of Jaffna student leaders.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  He calls upon Sri Lankan authorities to exercise restraint, to respect peaceful demonstrations and release the student leaders immediately.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚

No, you donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t release student leadersƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”immediatelyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ who are suspected to have thrown a petrol bomb into the office of the Sri Tamil Eelam Liberation Organization (TELO) around 3:30 A.M. on November 29, which is situated near theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  University campus. You cannot expect the Government to let loose these students without interrogating their motives and what they were expecting to do in the future.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  That is normal practice before their actions get out of hand and force the Sri Lankan governmentƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ to take more drastic measures.

Patrick, just in case you missed this inƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ todayƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s (6 December) The Ottawa Citizen on page 2 has this news item. ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Quebec student protester sentenced, but says itƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s not over.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  A prominent figure in QuebecƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s student protest movement has been sentenced to 120 hours of community service for a contempt of court conviction following the rowdy events of the so called Maple SpringƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  This guy didn’t even throw a petrol bomb like the Tamil studentƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  did in Jaffna,.

When QuebecƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s FLQ terrorists were exploding cocktail bombs inside letter boxes in the city of MontrealƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  and Qubec, and these minor irritants escalated to become somewhat major terrorist incidents like kidnapping QuebecƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Labour Minister Pierre Laporte and killing him, Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau invoked the War Measures Act on October 16, 1970,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  by an Order in Council thusƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  suspending the civil liberties of all Canadians without reference to the people through their elected representatives, and brought the Army onto the streets. They were at each street corner in Ottawa, MontrealƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and Quebec, and the Army were taking a lot of Canadians into custody on suspicion.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  And mind you Patrick, none were released ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-immediatelyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Pierre Trudeau believed in the Cosmic Law of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Cause and EffectƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, and so do I, and so does the Government of Sri Lanka.

The lesson here is, what is good for the Canadian Goose is good for the Sri Lankan Gander.

.So lets not knockƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  the Sri Lankan Government that wants to nip terrorism in the bud like what the Canadians did in October 1970.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  So try not be a hypocrite Patrick, as it wouldnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t wash well with the 92% of Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s population who are literate, who can read, who can understand the cunning of foreigners, and they are smart.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Just donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t undermine them.

Patrick, your Press Release also said: ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Mr. Brown also urges Sri Lanka to remove military from Tamil populated areas and leave the administratin to civilian officials.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚

What! You must be nuts Patrick.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  The issue here is guarding the island’s sovereign territory from Tamil Tiger terrorists, when the Tamil Tiger rumpƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  abroad are still working towards wanting their mono-ethnic, separatist Tamil racist state, Eelam.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  We Canadians did not want Quebec to separate from the rest of Canada, so whatƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s all this ballyhoo, Patrick?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Sri Lanka is under pressure from Tamil Nadu which is separated by 24 miles of salt water and its Chief Minister Jayalalitha has threatened Sri lanka many a time that she would send an army to claim the Eelam for the Tamils. And Sri Lanka would be stupid to forget that it were during the ceasefire period (2002-2007) that the Tamil Tigers sneaked in 11 ship loads of sophisticated arms through theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Army un-manned eastern shores.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  The Sri Lankan Government is not going to deliver on your stupidity inƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ your Press Release. Not a snow ball chance in a hot hell.

And there you are Patrick.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Canada seems to have covered the country pretty well with men and women in uniform spread across the country, and you being an outsider seem to gripe about Sri Lanka having Military personnel in the north of that island.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  What’s wrong with you, Patrick?

Come on Patrick, give me a break!ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Give Sri Lankans a break and keep your nose out of Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s business.

But more to the point keep away from the Tamils who pump you with lies and misinformation, especially your parliamentarian colleague Rathika Sitsabaiesan with whom you have twinned with, who was proud enough to tell us that she was a supporter of the Tamil Tigers, theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  most ruthless terrorists in the world when she displayed their flag on her Face book pages when she won her riding.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  And then goes on telling us that she was brought out of Sri Lanka when she was 5-years old because of discrimination.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  You know what Patrick, she too has been disingenuous.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  WhatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  she failed to tell us is that she was brought over by her parents because she was exposed to the Tamil Tigers who very likely would have kidnappedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  her with other young girls to brain wash them to become front-line fighters and suicide bombers.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Over half of the 388 suicide bombings were carried outƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  by young Tamil women.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  And asƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ 5-year oldƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ kid who may remember playing hop-scotch under a mango treeƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ under theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  hot sun in Jaffna, I doubt sheƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ wouldƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  haveƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  recognized the word ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…”D I S C R I M I N A T I ON ever it was parachutd down to her from heaven on a Babi dolls back.
