Jayalalithaa’s refusal to host Sri Lankan athletes

Chief Minister Jayalalithaa had said that Tamil Nadu will not host the 20th AsianƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Athletics meet because the Central govt had not asked Sri Lanka to skip the event. According to her, the participation of Sri Lankan athletes will hurt peoples sentiments in Tamil Nadu and hadƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ referred to the war in Sri Lanka. It is an open secret that Tamil Nadu trained, funded and ‘hosted’ LTTE terrorists.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It was a safe haven for them. SheƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ turned a blind eye to the crimes committed by the LTTE in Sri LankaƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ for three decades. Jayalalithaa who is shedding crocodile tears for Sri Lankan Tamils is openly encouraging Tamil Nadu fishermen to poach in Sri Lankan waters, depriving the Northern Tamils of their livelyhood.
On Thursday, in Hyderabad, two terrorist bomb attacks killed 18 and seriously injured 52 others, sending shock waves to theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ people. Sri Lanka had similar experiences prior to May 2009. But, under the leadership of the President, the security forces salvaged the country from LTTE terrorists who wereƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ backed byƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Tamil Nadu.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Jayalalithaa and her cohorts of the LTTE rump cannot stand that there is peace in Sri Lanka. So now Jayalalithaa is playing to the gallery for votes by harassing Sri Lankan athletes.
Incidently, after the bomb blast in Hyderabad, the Australian cricket team now in Chennai is having second thoughts about playing in India! What has Jayalalithaa to say about this ?

CM Jayalalitha should be more worried about the Sri Lankan Tamils facing extinction, like the Sinhalese in the hands of you know who. She should encourage them to integrate, to become Sri Lankans. After all when most of us are abroad preferred to be called Canadians, Germans, British, Dutch, French, American, Australian etc, etc. A bit of gratitude for the country you were born, given free education, free medication which most developed, rich countries don’t provide, wouldn’t go amiss. There is no Anuradhapuras, no Sigiriyas, no Polonnaruwas in the North or East of Sri Lanka. That should be proof enough who lived in those parts for longer. We all know some of them want to settle old scores. Is it not better to leave the Tamils and Sinhalese to get on their lives at least now. Both parties suffered enough. Don’t try to poison the minds of Tamils. Sinhalese don’t mistrust Tamils. They feel Tamils are brothers and sisters. And Tamils feel the same way. We were at our throats, because of the language problem. Most Tamils can speak Sinhala. Once Sinhalese can speak Tamil, the distance going to go away. Tamil language is taught at schools now, so within few years most of them will be able to read and write Tamil. We have many Tamil close friends and even have relatives through inter racial marriages. We can get on fine. Please leave us alone.
