Time to save Sri Lanka – Unless BBS is contained and persecution of Muslims stopped country will be heading towards a catastrophe

Muslim parliamentarians should either get their government to stop the persecution of Muslims orƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ leave the government if they have an iota of sell respect
Time for Jamiathul Ulema to confineƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ to preaching andƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ leave the community alone.
IsnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t it time that responsible Sinhalese wake up and save the country from the unfolding disaster unleashed by the Jathika Hela Urumaya, Bodu Bala Sena, Sinhala Ravaya (JHU- BBS ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…”SR) combine.
What is the ultimate goal of this disastrous hate Muslim campaign? What lesson they learnt from the three decades of carnage caused by this very same racism? It is unlikely that those who refuse to learn lesson from the recent past will ever learn any lesson .Under the circumstance isnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t it up to mainstream Sinhalese to contain these elements and save the country from a July 83 type bloodshed.
Obviously their immediate target is to crush the Muslim community in keeping with their long established dream of wiping out Muslims after crushing the Tamils. The question is at what cost and for whose benefit?
They have already succeeded in poisoning the minds of substantial section of Sinhalese community. Encouraged by theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ governmentƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ refusal to bring them to book ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ they may even, perhaps, ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ attack ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Muslims, kill couple of thousands, destroy Muslim owned businesses and properties and turn the country into a permanent killing field.
What would be the outcome? Will they be able to wipe out the Muslim community from the island? Will they be able to produce a better Sinhala ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ society on the misery of Muslims? Is it in the interest of the Sinhalese? ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ArenƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t they bringing Sri Lanka to its knees and destroying Buddhism and Sinhalese society within? ArenƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t they tarnishing the image of Sri Lanka in the international scene?
Who are the beneficiaries of this hate Muslim campaign especially at a time when the governmentƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s alleged war crimes against one minority, Tamils, is discussed by the world community in Geneva. Under such circumstance whose agenda the JHU-BBS-SR combine is implementing to the detriment of all in the island.
Only a year ago Muslims protested the unjust treatment of Sri Lanka at the United Nations.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Months later the BBS which appeared from nowhere and vigorously claiming to be guardian of Buddhism and Sinhalese began a ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ well-orchestrated hate Muslim campaign in violation of the very Buddhist teachings which they vow to protect.
ArenƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t the JHU-BBS-SR combine serving the interest of the enemies of Sri Lanka? ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
The All Ceylon Jamiathul Ulema, an association of religious ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ preachers, and its leadership which brought the Muslim community to the brink of disaster, made representation after representation, meeting after meeting and plea after plea with the power that is to stop the persecution of Muslims and bring the perpetrators to the book.
All these pleas fell in ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ deaf ears while the persecution of Muslims continues unabated with BBS emerging as a government within a government.
Disgusting state of affairs is such that a three wheel driver early this week spat at with chewed betel leaves on the clothes of a Muslim woman in Kotahena, niece of a very senior government Muslim politician. In yet another ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ incident Muslim Students of a Buddhist school ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ in Panadura were summoned by the Principal to be instructed to go down on their knees and worship their class teachers every morning when they come and leave the school. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
Helpless Muslims living scattered all over the island live in fear and spend sleepless nights. The threat to the community remains the most talked about topic these days.
The shameful ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ violent hate Muslim campaign is not something unexpected. Many predicted an attack on Muslims when Israel, international pariah expelled time and again from the island during the past five decades, managed to sneak into the country after the LTTE war ended in May 2009.
For more than a year and half, in many of my articles, I warned of the threat to the country posed by the by Israeli presence here. As expected, many suspect that the Israelis together with Norway have been behind the ongoing hate Muslim campaign. Some suspect that they picked up racist elements, trained and finance them to set the ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Sinhalese against ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Muslim ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ as part of their global anti-Muslim agenda implemented by United States and Europe in active collaboration with Israel.
Justifying this belief it is worthy to note that ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the New Delhi based fortnightly ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-The Millie GazetteƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ of 1-5 December 2009, disclosed that Indian Information Ministry report (2008) stated that foreign money worth Rs 7877 cores was received by Hindu communal organizations in India to causeƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ riots against Muslims. These organizations got money from Israel via Europe, instead of getting them direct from Israel. Similarly tours of leaders of Hindu organizations to Israel have also increased very much. They are brainwashed in Israel and used as tools against Indian Muslims. Hindu organizations use the foreign money on anti-Muslim riots, bomb blasts and other such activities. Investigations give credence to the belief that Hindu terrorists are poisoning the socio-political atmosphere in India and Israel is helping them through financial meansƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.
IsnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t this happening in the island now? ArenƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t the ultra-nationalists and ethno religious fascistsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ frequent visitors to Israel? So finally Israelis have brought Islamophobia to Sri Lanka and political leaders flock to Israel to shake hands with Zionists soaked in Palestinian blood. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
If these extremists are genuinely interested in the Sinhala ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ society they should start a campaign to close down the flourishing liquor industry, gambling, casinos, dealings in drug and fight against ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ crime and corruption wreaking havoc in the country.
They are not interested, as their agenda is political, perhaps, to serve their local and foreign ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ masters without realizing the harm they cause to the country. Halal issue, a non-issue, is ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ a pretext to hoodwink the majority community. If there is a problem with the ACJU deal with it and leave the community alone.
They failed to understand the sacrifice Muslims made to preserve the territorial integrity of the country. Had the Muslims supported the separatist call at the early ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ stage when theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ countryƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s armed forces were ill equipped to face the challenges posed by the LTTE the history would have been different and certainly there wouldnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t have been a united Sri Lankan for ultranationalists to claim as their exclusive property. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
It was Muslim communityƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s fierce opposition to LTTE call for separate state prevented the creation of Tamil Eelam. Do they realize the sufferings Muslims were subjected to?
Even today Muslims remain a sidelined community under the overall Sinhalisation program underway in full swing while talking of unity. For example hardly any Muslim is recruited to armed forces, police and rarely one could see a Muslim employee in government departments and other state institutions. Even mercantile sector seems to have closed their doors to Muslims who are, by and large, excluded from Government contracts, tenders and all such activities.
Indifference towards Muslims remains open and around 130,000 Muslim refugees from north continue to languish in refugee camps in appalling conditions almost four years after the war.
The reality is that this is a multi religious, multi-racial, multilingual and multi-cultural and unless this reality is accepted peace and progress will remain a distant dream despite all out drives to promote the majority community. There is also no need for any Muslim to produceƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ certificate of patriotismƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ as demanded by few chauvinists as this country belongs to all citizens.
As constituent members of the government, Muslim parliamentarians remain party to this persecution against Muslims. The mood among the Muslim community is that Muslim parliamentarians should either get the government to stop the persecution of Muslims or leave the government-IF THEY ARE LEFT WITH AN IOTA OF SELF RESPECT.
It is time that the ACJU, a body not elected by the community, realizes its limit and confines itself toƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ preaching ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ instead of hob knobbing with politicians and insulting the community.
Hate Muslim campaign started around three years ago with an extremely venomous website campaign describing Islam and Muslims as uncivilized barbarians in the typical Zionist Jewish ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ style of anti-Muslim propaganda. The strategy is to prepare the minds of the people for a violent anti-Muslim pogrom.
Muslims repeated appeals to the government to block these websites and check the anti-Muslim campaign bore no fruit.
In the midst fromƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ nowhere there appeared the ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ BBS, in the same line as Hindu fascist ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Shiva Sena in May 2012. The unanswered question is who are these BBS ethno fascists and from where do get their financial resources?
The BBS occupies one of the most expensive newly built high-rise buildings in the city, seems to be having enough of money and a well-organized network of cadres covering many parts of the country to implement their designs. Some are even asking whether these cadres were the very same 300 Sri Lankans sent to Israel for what they described as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-agricultural trainingƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ but, some believe, were trained by Israeli ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ spy agent Mossad to cause anti-Muslim havoc in the island.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
They commit crime after crime under the watchful eyes of the police.
Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara told the cabinet that men in three-wheeler scooters in some villages had gone around inviting people to gather at temples to be told to boycott Muslim business houses. Notices had been distributed in classrooms in schools in Colombo South requesting students to carry out a similar boycott. The irony is that some temples, meant for spreading BuddhaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s message of peace and harmony, are used to sow seeds of hatred. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
UNP parliamentarian Kabir Hashim said ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-the government is promoting BBS to divert the countryƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s attention from the numerous problems it is facing now.
JVP leader Somawansa Amarasinghe accused multi- billionaire Sinhalese businessmen of being behind Buddhist ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” Islam ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”bombƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. He said there are no conflicts between poor Sinhalese, Tamils and Muslims. It is the forces that want to maintain the vile capitalist system that are behind such conflicts.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚
He added that ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Sri Lanka is a country where Sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims, Burghers and others live peacefully. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Their beliefs should be respected. What is behind this issue is a business war. The government should comprehend this clearly and act accordingly. The ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”HalalƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ bomb is about to explode in the country. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The dominance is unleashed in various ways due to their economic interests. We should carefully identify the forces that kindle these clashesƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.
Dropping a bombshell opposition parliamentarian Mangala SamaraweeraƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ said ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Defense Ministry is secretlyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ doling out monies to Buddhist monks from it slush fund to promote the BBSƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ terrorism against Muslims. He accused the BBS of manufacturing problems to create tension between the Sinhalese and Muslims. As a result thousands of innocent Muslim families were living in fear.”
He accused the government of conspiring to divert the nationƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s attention by stoking religious hatred and fanning the flames of racism. What is most repugnantly noteworthy is, this conspiracy is targeting our own section of Sri Lankans. The country is fast heading towards a holocaust against Muslim community.
Island wide campaign pasting anti-Muslim posters, running various websites and sowing seeds of racial hatred and protests have been underway. Moreover, it is learnt that the police too is not giving adequate
protection to the Muslims and in some instances, the police had not even taken down the complaints. They areƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ a blind eye. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
He thanked the Muslim community for being patient amidst these provocative actions. But if this is to continue, this can constitute a serious threat to the Sri Lankans across the globe .This can have an adverse impact not only on the Sri Lankans in the middle east who are a mainstay of our economy, but even the High Commissions abroad and the staff.
Hence I implore these BBS extremists in this country not to play with the lives of the innocent Sri Lankans. Extremism feeds on itself, and begets extremism. Because of this countryƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Buddhist lunatics, Islam extremists can be spawned. Today, the need is to reinforce the Lankan identity being a multi religious and multi-racial society. He added that while safeguarding our Sri Lankan identity, all of them have a right to carry on their traditions and customs, religious observances and protect their cultural heritage. In this country there should not be second class citizens. All should be equally protected. Specially, as Buddhists that is our responsibility. Addressing the UNP parliamentary group on 19 Feb UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe said that the Norwegian ambassador in Colombo makes secret visits to the BBS headquarters and ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ BBS cadres also invited Norway at various times for discussions and given financial assistance.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ He alleged the government was not taking concrete action to diffuse rising tensions between religious groups in the country.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

UNLESS the Muslim population growth rate is CUT DOWN, SL is DOOMED.
Look everywhere in the world not just SL. WHEREVER there are large numbers of Muslims there is VIOLENCE.

BBS MUST be encouraged to do more if SL is to survive.

Muslims should blame themselves and their greedy, uncaring, selfish politicians for the hatred they face today in Sri Lanka. They multiply like rabbits, taken over every town in the country, grabbing land in large scale, fill up universities thanks to these treacherous politicians who don’t think for a second about the damage they do to race relations. It has been them, them, them nothing else. They want halal, burka, shariya, eyesore mosques in every street corner etc. etc. while muslim countries don’t even allow a Buddha statue to their countries. Surprise, surprise people living on this land since beginning of time can’t express dislike about the uninvited guests.
These uninvited guests should understand that they grabbed those countries by multiplying and then by the sword when the numbers were high enough. We are living in a different world today. People know what is happening in other side of the world within few minutes. So people have to come to know what these ‘saints’ done to the countries, and they have realised them and their religion are a real danger to the non-believers. Especially when these ‘saints’ are in a non-believers country people are really worried. Simple as that. Europe, Russia, China, Japan, the Americas, Australia, New Zeland they all are worried. Multiply, then violence to get their way, submission. Simple as that. Your lot and your politicans have made it impossible to live in Sri Lanka among the other two races. You have done irreparable damage to race relations! Only way is start practising a real religion. Change name! Live in the real world. Don’t live for a religion which preaches to kill, kill, kill and kill. Fellow human beings, animals. Religions are supposed to discipline, make better human beings. Five percepts in Buddhism does not prohibit meat eating let alone beef. Hindus cannot stand people who eat beef. You know what they do if beef eating person comes to visit. They clean the house with Tumeric solution. Muslims In India are treated the same as Dalits. But they have united and they see what the Hindus are up to and stand up to them.
India sees the peace among the Sinhalese and Moors. After all Moors are half cousins of Sinhalese. India wants to destroy the island nation and its economy by what ever means they can use.

Muslims live among us and so we see them that is the reason. we do not talk about what we do not see. So please see how Tamils breed , not just in the island nation but in Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa,Mauritius etc and ofcourse the other Indian in India nad out side India.

Halal certification has been designed to abuse and milk the general population of Sri Lanka (and to indirectly steal their hard earn money, and jobs).

Do you know that there is a Muslim towns in Sri Lanka that is almost identical to Saudi setup.
In the district of Batticaloa, there exists a small town called Katthankudy. The populace is completely Muslim. It is said to have the largest number of mosques per square kilo meter in the world. All in all, there are at least 70 mosques in that small town. No matter what age group, practically every woman is shrouded from head to toe. In fact, under the influence of the Saudi Arabian Wahabi sect, Katthankudy has become an exceptionally orthodox place. Perhaps it is only a matter of time before it bread Bin Laden type extremists. BBS have come to know formations of such Muslim towns.
In various write-ups to weekend papers like Times during the UNP rule in 2001/3, I remember very well that Muslim extremists have demanded; they are allowed to enforce Muslim Shariah code where Muslims are majority. As usual for that era, our replies were not published by the said paper. Perhaps to move on further in their schema, some other Muslims sought a separate province for them as well. I suppose situation today, has compelled them to put such demands in the back burner.
Whatever it is, what is happening in Katthankudy is critical not just for Sri Lanka but for the entire Muslim society and their politics in Sri Lanka. I doubt ACJU or Jamiathul Ulema who started the ‘Halal trade’ can be confined to preaching as Latheef Farook wants for they are extremists of the extreme.
Let come up with an example: A moderate sufi named M.S.M. Abdullah known as “Rah,” has founded ‘All Ceylon Thareekathul Mufliheen’ in the late 1980s in the village of Maruthamunai. In 1989, it was registered as a cultural society and its headquarters was located in said Kattankudy. Likewise the order has started with 42 mosques and enrolled 15,000 member throughout the island.
Abdullah published a book in Tamil titled “Imanin Unmaiyai Nee Arivaya,” or “Do You Know the Truth of Iman” in 1980. ACJU that is involved with the current Halal controversy with BBS now, did not like it for it was against extremism. ACJU had declared a fatwa on Abdullah in September 10, 1989. ACJU declared Abdullah and his followers as “murtadd”. Meaning, Abdullah and his followers are apostates of Islam. And Koran 4:89 and 9:11,12 demand Muslims to slay apostates. If it was Pakistan Abdullah would have been killed.
Wahhabi ACJU started to act through their Islamist extremists called Thawheeds or Monotheists. They opened numerous madresas like the one in Pamunugama Road,Maharagama to spread extremism and oppose moderate Sufis. When Abdullah’s Thareekathul Mufliheen opened a Meditation Centre at Kattankudy in 1996, Wahhabis made an arson attack on the building at 1 A.M on May 29 the same year.
Abdullah had already filed a court case against ACJU in 1990 to get fatwa and many other discrimination against them removed. All that and more can be read in a book named “The Court of Reason” published in 2010 by Abdullah.
A member of the Sufi order died on December 1, 2006, and was buried on the same day. On December 2 however, Wahhabi extremists exhumed it. Abdullah also died on December 6, 2006. Wahhabi Thawheed network and the armed “Jihadists” had incited the local clerics and politicians to oppose Abdullah’s burial in his Meditation Centre for they had declared him apostate.
In a separate issue but on Wahabi influence, the UC of Kattankudy had colluded with ACJU and declared the minaret at the said Meditation Centre, an “unauthorized structure.” UC ordered to dismantle it but the Police prevented the demolition. However, Wahhabi fanatics barged in, and a police post and a police vehicle were smashed. Consequently, three rioters were shot and killed. On December 15, 2006, members of the UC joined the Wahhabi mob that invaded the Meditation Centre and knocked down the minaret and removed the body of Abdullah and burned it. The houses belongs to 117 Sufis were destroyed by a fire that day. Many Sufis fled the district, two were injured, and one lost an arm.
The question for us Sinhala Buddhist is; do we want extremist Wahhabis or Mecca in our back yard? If not what are we going to do about it? When we pose such observation or queries, Christian backed NGO activists and pseudo Buddhists or Olcott Buddhists label us as extremists.

Was it not the same Kattankudy Mosque and village that was massacred by the LTTE in 1990.
Would Leela like to share with us of his knowledge of the rebuilding of the same village following this dastardly event.
If he is unable to source “credible” information to the above i’m more than happy to point him in the right direction.

Good point Christie. Latheef has raised some valid concerns for his community. They should be addressed in a CIVILIZED manner, whether we agree with him or not.

Sri Lanka is for ALL its citizens whatever community or religion. All are equal.
Genuine Sinhalese will protect themselves Sinhalese style (tolerance, self-respect, assertiveness and dialogue) rather than Indian style running amok like idiots harassing other communities.

Latheef, please remember that organisations like BBS are created by extremes like Muslims around the world. If not for BBS Sri Lanka will be slowly but surely converted to Islamic way of life which majority of Sri Lankans and the world hate and don’t agree. This is how Muslims have done around the world in the past around the world and trying not only in Sri Lanka currently but in Thailand, Burma, Indonesia to name a few. Ask your Muslims to live peacefully with Sinhalese, Tamils and Burghers as they have done since Muslims were allowed to live in Sri Lanka by the Sinhalese few hundred years ago. These acts of Muslims have made the Islam the most hated religion in the world. Only yesterday 8th March in Australia, Victorain government minister warned the Muslims not to provoke and start problems. You also can visit Bibile Road in Gampola and see for yourself how is a Mosque built illegally over the public road (Bibile Road). These are the things that provokes others. How is that four Mosques screams at 0430 in the morning (illegally) at the same time disturbing the elderly and babies of non-muslims. Muslims have invaded and now disturbing the peace in the whole country by these terrorist acts and then when Sinhalese try to protect what is their rights Muslims scream “POOR ME”. So go and get your house in order and don’t throw stones from inside a glass window.

I said there are over 70 mosques in Kattankudy. In 1990, LTTE killers had sprayed bullets into one of the mosques there controlled by Wahabis killing 300 or so prayers inside it. To tell you the truth, I want no part in mosque building for Wahabies or Thawheeds or Saudi type extremists here in Sri Lanka. But I wouldn’t mind helping said Abdullah like people or Ahmadies or Sufies and etc.
I must say, Wahabies has started to take root in Kattankudy long before LTTE massacre. And Abdullah also started his projects long before the said massacre. Consequently, Wahabi rift with Abdullah may also have started long before the massacre. I do not know whether LTTE attack had anything to do with their dislike for Thawheeds.
What I have been trying to raise the alarm here is not just about the fast changing landscape of Sri Lanka but highlight the repercussions of Muslims extremism on Muslims in general as well as the rest of the community in Sri Lanka. Blaming BBS would not solve the problem. Muslims must start to look inward. Unfortunately, that is not their usual pattern or habit. Do you have any more questions?

The Katankundy attack killed 147 Muslims only, not 300.
In April 1992, LTTE in Alinchipothanai killed 69 Muslim villagers. This led to a “retaliatory violence” against the Tamils in Muthugala , where 49 Tamils were killed by Muslims.
BOTH barbaric terrorists!! One is NOT better than the other. If barbarians kill each other like this, civilized humans are safe.
SL’s friend Paul Harris talked about a strategy of pitting “Al Qaeda” against “Tamil Tigers”. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to read between the lines. :))
