Muslim Tamil National Alliance to promote ethnic and religious harmony

The mediaƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ carried a news report dated 14 March that a new opposition political movement is being formed to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-promote ethnic and religious harmonyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. What an admirable and laudable move! Kudos to those who conceived the idea!
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Sri Lanka and its people had been ripped apart during the past three decades by a terrorist gang that was hell bent on creating a mono-ethnic Eelam in the North and East of Sri Lanka ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” which would extend far beyond the current provincial boundaries – for their chosen people. As a result of the steadfast political and military leaderships the country managed to come out of the terrorist curse, and any individual or group that has the promotion of ethnic harmony as its avowed goal should be welcomed with open arms and jasmine garlands.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ However, the story is not as rosy as the headline – Opposition political movement against extremism formed in Sri Lanka – of the new story suggests. The name selected by the group, on the contrary, lets the cat out of the bag and is a clear indication of its real motive: the group has opted to call itself the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Muslim Tamil National AllianceƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The opening paragraph of the news item refers to the group being against nationalist chauvinism and religious extremism. When any group that intends to promote ethnic and religious harmony inserts ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-MuslimƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ and ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-TamilƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ in its very name or identity, the writer obviously has missed something: he clearly has to rush back to school to brush up his rudimentary English language skills.

STNA would be more appropriate. S stands for Stupid here. STNA don’t have to look very far where this very trustworthy muslim brothers will lead them. There is an article here in Lankaweb how these ‘loving brothers’ in bangladesh treating the Hindus there. Only way they get anywhere with this ulamas is converting to ‘the religion of peace’. Once they get what they want Tamils will be put to the sword. Afganisthan, pakisthan, bangladesh, maldives, iran, malaysia, indonesia, nobody was spared. Convert or be killed when numbers high. KILL ALL NON-BELIEVERS IS THE ‘LOVING BROTHERS’ MANTHRA’. STNA where is your brain? Is it near your backsides after being so treachrous to the country which done so much for you! Free education, free medicine, lion’s share of the places in universities; of course in the cream of faculties, becoming doctors, lawyers, engineers, accountants etc. etc. Still not happy because no kingdom. You can live in Canada, US, UK, etc etc. and proudly say I’m American, I’m Canadaian, but ashamed to say you’re Sri Lankan. Where is these people’s consicence? Where is the gratitude? Disgraceful!
