Dear Sir:
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
India is being asked to impress on Sri Lanka at the UN in GenevaƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  “the need to agree to a high level, credible and independent enquiry on the allegations of war crimes committed during the last phase of the civil war”. India should first agree to a high level, credible and independent enquiry on the allegations of war crimes committed for decades in Kashmir whichƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ are still taking place with no end in sight.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Maybe then India’s resolutions and calls against Sri Lanka will be credible.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
The 13th amendment was imposed on Sri Lanka by India with a threat of invasion. It was notƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and is not for the benefit of Sri Lankans but an exercise in Indian aggression and bullying against a small neighbour. Today as it was in 1987,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ most Sri Lankans do not support the Indo-Lanka Agreement and the 13th amendment which was forced on the country merely giving added encouragement to the Indian sponsored LTTE to terrorise the country for a further twenty years. Any devolution based on the 13th amendment needs to be approved byƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ a vote of the Sri Lankan people and this time around India’s aggression will not be tolerated by Sri Lankans who suffered terrorism because of India.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is an Indian and LTTEƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ notion that there are Tamil speaking areas that need power to be devolved.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  LTTE terrorism was aimedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ at dividing Sri Lanka to createƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ a mono ethnic Tamil state which is not acceptable to the people of Sri Lanka who have paid a heavy price to retain a united, sovereign country free of terrorism. Further, over 52% of Sri Lankan Tamils live outside what is referred to as “Tamil speaking areas” with the other communities. If the Tamils have the freedom to live anywhere so should any Sri Lankan have the right to live in any part of the country. Sri Lanka should be for all Sri Lankans without the divisionsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ proposed by India and the LTTE.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
As for the issues ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  atrocities committed during the last phase of the war andƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ “enough evidence on war crimes against innocent civilians”, the fact is that there is absolutely no evidence or proof, only allegations and they are by pro-LTTE supporters and their paid agents.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is time India stops these accusations based on fiction and the Indian policy of interference and bullying other countries in the region and spend it’s time looking into the atrocities it is committing in India and practice what they areƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  preaching to Sri Lanka.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
Yours truly,
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

There is no real cause for India or anybody else with Tamil Nadu Partisanship to get involved in this issue.Sri Lanka has set a precedent in eliminating Tamil Tiger terrorism and the incredible development of the Nation in the aftermath which is more than commendable with many Tamils too agreeing with this entire concept and happy to live there. It is more than just cause for India to focus on problems more conducive to the smooth functioning of India rather than meddle in Sri Lankan issues inaccessible to the Indian Administration based on the related rationalities and the varied conflicts of interest which are painfully visible!
Furthermore India’s track record on organized rape and the assault on SL Buddhist monks qualifies this nation for scrutiny at a very high level of global investigation and should not permitted to getaway unpunished!
