Press Release-Communications DepartmentƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Janadhipathi Mawatha, Colombo 01, Sri Lanka.

In the recent times, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka has observed an aggressive and well funded misinformation campaign that is being carried out by various groups with dubious agendas, both locally and internationally to tarnish the political image and true economic successes of Sri Lanka. The Central Bank also notes with concern, that if such campaign continues without a counter campaign to correct the misconceptions it may have the potential to create a highly detrimental image for Sri Lanka, and erode the growing confidence of international investors in Sri Lanka.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Since such an outcome would adversely affect the countryƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s economy and its economic and financial system stability, the Central Bank has embarked upon a robust local and international Awareness Programme to refute such misinformation, and to provide the factual position of the economy and the political environment to all relevant stakeholders.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Towards that objective, the Central Bank has also secured the services of a competent international professional firm to assist in the effort to convey the true and factual position regarding Sri Lanka and its economy, particularly in the USA. Such an endeavour will be particularly significant, since the USA is a major market for Sri Lankan exports, while US investors have made a substantial foreign direct investment and are the leading holders of Sri Lankan bonds.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

This is the COST of not having good diplomats. Our DIP-LOW-MATS are useless. They SHOULD do this. But good to give someone who can do.

  2. sridaran Says:

Yes – we should have dip-low-mats of the calibre of Prasad Kariyawasam who said that the Sinhalese were not indigeneous to Sri Lanka and that they emigrated from North India !!

  3. Voice123 Says:

    Piss of Hindian (Sridaran)

Sinhalese may be from a part or many parts of India but us Yakkas are 100 percent indigenous and never set foot on your smelly country.

SLs will not send even their DOG to Tamil Madu now. Too stinky and Tamils marry dogs according to BBC.

“A man in southern India married a female dog in a traditional Hindu … the southern state of Tamil Nadu, the Hindustan Times newspaper said.”

  5. Voice123 Says:

Lorenzo is quite correct. It reminds me of how a number of years ago, somebody said how they sent a dog to Tamil Nadu. Hindi-worshipping Tamilians tried to rape it and demand a dowry but the brave dog bit them really hard in a few choice places and they ran away screaming. Incredible!
