Today we read this realistic geopolitical analysis based on the ground situation in Afghanistan titled ‘A Novel Idea: Asking an Afghan About Afghanistan’. It refers to ridiculously rosy and almost laughable claims by the U.S. and our General there Joseph F. Dunford Jr. as detailed by your story published with the title ‘Hope Seen for Afghanistan After Coalition Exits’ on May 06, 2013.
We felt that you really think that the American people are retarded in believing such lies in your story!

That’s right! Ask a Sri Lankan who loves his/her country about how safe they are after the internationally backed Tamil terrorists were eliminated. Did you notice that Sri Lanka is now safer than the States, after the Boston bombing, school, movie theater and mall shootings? The amount of LTTE terror- supporting articles published by the New York Times, U.S. State Dept and Liberal U.S. lawmakers attacking the people of Sri Lanka and its institutions are too many to list here.

We can only imagine American satisfaction if we had al Qaeda in this position. It is unconscionable for the United States to castigate its Sri Lankan ally for prevailing in its war against terrorism. There are ways to help resolve this standoff that will not allow the Tigers to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, such as providing military and intelligence support for pinpoint strikes against the terrorist leadership. Failing that, the Obama administration should mind its own business. The Sri Lankans are winning; we should let them finish the job.
We should give credit where it belongs: LTTE Terrorists/Tamil Tiger Terrorists and their supporters worldwide are terrorists by definition. They earned their medals for sophisticated terror operations.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ They are NOT rebels, as New York Times and other LTTE-friendly media and politicians like to call them.

After politicians, the international media inflicts the greatest damage on a unitary, peaceful Sri Lanka. Abramson, Rubin, Rosenberg running the New York times that systematically denigrates Sri Lanka and elevates the LTTE terrorists. Is this a coincidence all their names sound like Israelis? Whay do our so called pro-majority, “patriotic” pro-Israeli commentators on Lankaweb have to say about this I wonder? Can other Lankaweb readers see the inconsistency? If these commentators have so much confidence in Israel perhaps they should be approaching their friends in that country to promote united Sri Lanka interests. I am hopeful of a prompt and quick response!

Croydon man charged with smuggling Sri Lankan immigrants into UK

May 24 (CG) A 50-year-old man from Croydon has been charged with smuggling Sri Lankan immigrants into the UK. Chubramaniam Vignarajah of Aurelia Road, was one of 18 people arrested in a series of international raids by immigration and police ,which included addresses in London, Luton and Essex on Wednesday.
Mr Vignaraha has been charged with conspiring to facilitate illegal immigration along with two other men from Hayes and Northold. Two other suspects were charged with the same offence yesterday.
Six other people arrested during the raids have been bailed until July, pending further enquiries.
A spokesperson for the Home Office said the arrests were a culmination of a joint investigation into an alleged criminal network that is believed to assist Sri Lankan illegal immigrants trying to enter the UK.
The operation involved Home Office Immigration Enforcement investigators, Kent Police and the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) as well as Europol and French and German law enforcement agencies.
As police raided address in the UK, raids were also carried out in France and Germany. Seven people were also arrested in France.

Marco, yes SL politicians have messed up (as have politicians elsewhere also). More unique with Sri Lanka is the international media always act like vultures waiting to feed off/worsen the problems. In some other troubled countries, the media often supports the governments and people of those countries to put the problems right. Eg after the Bali terrorist bombing of foreign tourists, the international media was saying “dont give into terrorism, more tourists must visit the country and the bombers werent Balinese by culture but “Arab influenced”, the people are friendly” etc. this is the OPPOSITE of the approach they take towards Sri Lanka. Are you blaming the politicians for everything?

Smuggling: four Sri Lankans held in Dominican Republic

Dominican authorities arrested four men from Sri Lanka accused of smuggling at least 60 migrants from India and the Middle East into the US and Canada using fake passports.
Officials with the National Investigations Department say the alleged leader of the group is a Canadian citizen identified as 42-year-old Karunhanithy Nallathamby.
Director Fidel Calcagno said late Wednesday that Nallathamby was in charge of obtaining passports in Canada that would later be altered and given to migrants once they reached the Dominican Republic.
He said the majority of migrants had criminal backgrounds and would stay in Nallathamby’s house for up to two months before traveling to the US or Canada.

Dear old Billary Clinton is now positioning herself for a run for the US Presidency in 2016. She began in the time-honored traditional fashion of US Presidential candidates by announcing she had no interest whatever in running for the Presidency, which is of course pure HOGWASH!
She declined to serve as the Secretary of State in Obama’s second term administration, so she could start disassociating herself from Obama’s policies, and have more freedom to pursue independent policies potentially critical of the Obama administration.
Billary Clinton’s becoming the US President in 2016 presents HUGE problems for Sri Lanka. As we recall, Tamils for Clinton injected huge sums of illegal funds into Clinton’s 2008 Presidential campaign. Luckily, that illegal contribution of campaign funds was discovered, and the contributed funds were returned to the Tamils for Clinton front of the LTTE in a hurry by Billary’s campaign which feigned that she was not aware that the contribution was illegal.
Billary, the woman of unbounded ambition that she is, did not lose sight of the fact that the Eelamist Tamil Diaspora represented a source of nearly UNLIMITED CAMPAIGN FUNDS if she runs for the US Presidency in 2016.
As we all know, the US State Department under Billary’s control, took a very hardline against Sri Lanka … which continues to this day. Was there a connection between the promise of future funds in 2016 and the especially hardline she took against Sri Lanka during her tenure as Secretary of State, even going to the extent of pressuring the Government of Sri Lanka to allow the US to extract 50 of the top LTTE leaders, including Prabhakaran, out of the Mullaitivu pocket under the pretext of “saving lives of civilians”? We will never know really …. will we …. unless another Wikileaks spills the beans a decade from now!!
Lo and behold, UNLIMITED CAMPAIGN FUNDS can NOW be contributed LEGALLY! The US Supreme Court decision that held that UNLIMITED AMOUNTS OF CAMPAIGN FUNDS can be LEGALLY donated to third-party political groups supporting political candidates in elections, but not directly to the candidates themselves, unleashed a FLOOD OF LOBBYISTS MONEY in the 2012 US Presidential election, undermining the very basis of American democracy. It is now Government OF the LOBBYISTS, BY the LOBBYISTS, FOR the LOBBYISTS in America.
This law is unlikely to be repealed before the 2016 US Presidential elections, which means that Tamil Eelamists can contribute UNLIMITED FUNDS again to Billary Clinton’s campaign for the US Presidency in 2016. Having already demonstrated her undying support for the Eelamist cause, there is no doubt that a veritable FLOOD of Tamil Diaspora money will find its way into her campaign coffers. So much then for the PATRIOTISM OF US POLITICIANS serving the BEST INTEREST of their Nation; they are bought and sold like cattle at an auction.
The bottomline is: the GOSL should ANTICIPATE & PREPARE for the possibility that Billary Clinton could become the next President of the United States, and if elected, could adopt policies EXTREMELY THREATENING to Sri Lanka’s survival as an Undivided Sovereign Nation.
I recommend that the GOSL REPEAL the 13th Amendment, and DISMANTLE the Provincial Council System now leaving a few years to stabilize a new System of Governance, establish new DIPLOMATIC, ECONOMIC and Trade links to prepare for that event.
Since CAMPAIGN FUNDS can now be contributed LEGALLY by any source to political lobbies, including foreign governments, it is possible, for example, for the GOSL to contribute more funds than the Tamil Diaspora can to the Republican Presidential candidate. Surely, a 250 Million USD campaign contribution would be well worth the money in return on the dollar to Sri Lanka’s security and survival!!
If the RUMP of the World’s Most Dangerous Terrorist Movement (CIA assessment) can buy US politicians legally to serve their interests undermining the very fabric of American politics, why can’t a legal and legitimate FRIENDLY government do so to counter that move FUNDAMENTALLY INIMICAL to the long-term INTERESTS of the United States?
