The DBS Jeyraj Column’s item~ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Mass Uprising in South is Necessary for Tamil People to Move Forward in their Freedom Struggle posted by Dr. Vickremabahu Karunaratne seems to portray the rhetoric of a cowardly anti Government column with its usual worthless disposition and as usual posted by a radical albeit at times sounding seditious!ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

What some Tamil intellectuals believe that, rather than beating about the bush, TNA should go straight for a federal solution; as the 13th Amendment plus is extremely vague and doesnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t give much power to the Tamils is a matter of opinon whereƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ biasedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ intellectuals at timesƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ do not political idealogues make. These are notƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ thoseƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ who do their best to serve their country where to the contrary they complicateƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ matters relatedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ! They often tend to get wrapped up in their own philosophies and in this case steeped in bias that is not only unjustified but also portrays the arrogance of a miniscule minority in a majority Sinhala Nation holding the reins of power through universal franchise to which the all impotant aspect of the two third majority in parliament is very significant.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
The item goes on to say with a semblance of truism tha “This has to be done even if some may say that TNA is asking for the moon, because that is politics.” which indeed it is but the fact of the matter intrinsically is that the TNA have no say on this issue given their track recordƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ as former Tamil Tiger supportives who have not as yet given up their dreams of a separate state of Eelam, continue to pursue it and in the end will in all probabilities find themselves with no political feet to stand on in Sri Lanka with their anti Government, non nation friendly tactics so wrapped up in theirƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ egocentric and at times perniciousƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ dogma which truly disentitle themselves beyond reprieve.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ To even suggest that “ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the Tamils wanted a separate state like what the South Sudanese needed, but India wouldnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t agree to that for the simple reason that it could inspire the separatist within India. That should be clear to everybody. However, they should at least agree to a federal solution, where each community can look after its own affairs” simply sums up their mindset suggesting confusion about their direction albeit pointing to the reality that inspiring the separatist element is a distinct possibility as ensuing which needs to be viewd objectively from a government standpoint.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
And the futility of aspiring for a separate state had already been proven where many Tamils have reconciled themselvesƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ towards acceptingƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  GovernmentƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  policy as part of their response towards their liberation from the mendacious Tamil Tigers where both the writer and the TNA, DBS Jeyraj the initiator of theis columnƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ notwithstanding, appear to be barking at the moon they soƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ solemnly draw analogy to,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
It needs to be emphasized here that the Sinhala Nation and her administration is not comprised of radicals where the real radicals display their radical nature through rhetoric such as “ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ these radicals say that TNA has failed in mobilising a peopleƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s struggle, failed in politicising people on the question of rights, failed in placing a fully-fledged federal solution draft as an alternative to separate Tamil Eelam, failed in forging alliance with Muslims and Up-country Tamils, failed in addressing Sinhala people on the justice behind the Tamil struggle, failed in effectively using the post-war international situation and failed in transparency within the alliance itself.” a load of jargon given the state of Sri Lanka today.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ In this respectƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the TNA not only fill the complementƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ of the real radicals but present themselves as inciters and instigators who truly need to
be relieved of their accessibility to parliamentary rights in the best interest of National Security as over time they have increased the threat they post to the Nation by virtue of their continued quest for secession, lately quite surreptitiously although their true intent is quite visible to the more discerning and only the tolerance and leniencies ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  a pragmatic President contribute towards their existence.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
Then comes the icing on the cake where a hated dictatorial autocratic communist leader who once jeopardized not only his own nation but the rest of the world to a great extent~ Lenin ,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  the Soviet dictatorƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ abhorred by his own people where even his statues have been smashed in public is being quoted.
“There is a truth in what the radicals ( pot calling the kettle black here!)ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ say looking from the Leninist theory on national problems. Lenin clearly indicated that the right of self determination is fundamental in solving the national problem. Contrary to the argument that it will necessarily lead to separation, Lenin insisted the opposite. It is the right to separation that could firmly unite two or more nationalities to live together as one state. He opposed campaigning for federalism claiming full autonomy is possible within a unitary state, provided the right of self determination is included as a fundamental right in the constitution. ” but to disillussion the writer, The world knows what transpired in Russia formerly the Soviet Union andƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Sri Lanka does not operate on Lennist theories nor those of real radical elements who are proven subversives given all the rope to pursue their dangerous ambits by rich and powerful globbal elementsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ where it appears to be a fuelling of hatreds rather than speaking in the best interests of the nation which has come a long way and well into progress towards posterity which neither he nor the TNA seem to envision or acceptƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ as they are buried in their own agendas of self determination in the land of the majority Sinhalese.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
The question of misleading the public as well as world observers seem to part of the ploy of this item as ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ misleading the public is rampantly displayed here in the bold and disturbing suggestions quoted.
“ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ In the given context of geo-politics and military-grooming approach of all the powers involved, the peopleƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s struggle the radicals( once again the pot calling the kettle black)ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ were referring to, needs to be addressed at an international level, primarily against Washington and New Delhi, by the mobilisation of global Tamils.” A Nation that has put down one of the worst insurgencies in history has no need for the mobilization of global Tamils who wereƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ its primary cause led by the scum calling themselves Tamil Tigers they supported futilely!
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
It seems somewhat duplicitous that the writer has the affront to suggest all thisƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ while being a Sinhalese himselfƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  where in all probabilities he too is a Tamil Tiger sympathiser needing to be apprehended and indicted for his dangerous rhetoric.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Rhetoric which also incorporates what is mostlyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ an attempt to disestablish what already has been establishedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ from someone who in all probabilities is languishing in a safe haven far removed from Sri Lanka.that “ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ at every sector, whether the Diasporas, Tamil Nadu or the island, the leadership is systematically gagged, bound, manipulated, or diffused by the agents of global powers. The past genocidal war against the Tamil people was launched with direct involvement of the global powers. On the other hand the Government which is accused of war crime was brought to power with indirect help of the LTTE. Terrible defeat and the emergence of fascist styled regime is the main reason for non-emergence of a peopleƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s struggle, compared to the 1961 non-violent mass struggle. Now struggles are breaking out in the south as well against this regime. These are led by Sinhala leaders who are prepared to defend the national rights of the Tamil people. Mass uprising in the south including a parliamentary victory is necessary for Tamil people to move forward in the freedom struggle. When such an opportunity came, and while the matter has now been taken at the level of the UN, will the TNA fail in cutting an appropriate profile and spearheading the struggle in an effective way?”
Indeed the TNA, if it has not happened already has failed to cut any profile other than that of surreptitious champions of the now defunct Tamil Tigers and there should be no struggles as any entitlement to them in whatever form other than to exonerate themslves of past indiscretions tantamount to aspirations to destroy the Nation hand in glove with the Tamil Tigers and the diaspora,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ as there are sufficientƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ numbers of Tamils who not only denounce them but in like manner to how the Tamil Tigers were despised by them, view them as a means towards disrupting their already disrupted lives.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
Anyone who is able to make sense ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  what the writer is implying here probably has an interpretative problem san bias as the nature of the content is not only garbled but bifurcated between the sublime and the ridiculous as one only needs to view first hand what Sri LankaƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ has been transformed into today as a paragon of Asian development and progress. And it was neither the TNA nor the Global LTTE supportive diaspora that was responsible one might safely say.

In this respect the 13th Amensment either needs to be re- written or trashed so that the subversive elements whoƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ appear to have a champion who has posted this item needs to be made aware in no uncertain terms that their objectives in terms of Tamil Freedom Struggles and a devolution of power to the minority they are in Sri Lanka today, and rapidly diminishing to moot,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the way they demand it is not only futile but also inconceivable as the nation needs to uniteƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  with every ethnic group contributing towards the collective well being of the nation under one leadership.

As an alternative to those who disagree there is always Tamil Nadu which at the present seems slightly overpopulated but the could certainly try their luck with the likes of Karunanidhi, Jayalalitha, Vaiko and that gay abandonesque bandwagon that entertains the world apart from BollywoodƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  drawing large audiences as well as larger guffaws!!

What this loser says is create a BS revolution in the south like JVP did in 1971 and 1989 and get Sinhalese killed which gives a DEMOGRAPHIC ADVANTAGE to south Endians.

This type of traitors should be eliminated with their clans.
