BE ALERT! TIGRESS IS COMING IN SHEEP’S CLOTHING

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is learnt that Mrs Navenetham Pillay (Navi Pillay) ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ has decided to visit Sri Lanka in August 2013. As far as I could remember she was invited by the GoSL in 2011 before the UNHRC session. However, she scoffed the invitation so that she could continue lambasting Sri Lanka. Presumably she also would have been busy with collecting data from her beloved LTTE supportive Tamil Diaspora , Tamil Net, other dollar vultures like Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, ICG etc to present her case against Sri Lanka war crimes. The question is why this hasty decision to visit Sri Lanka almost after two years since she being invited? You donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t need to be a rocketƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  scientist to fathom the reasons of her timing to visit Sri Lanka.

I see two scenarios in her hidden agenda in visiting Sri Lanka. One is the elections for the Northern Provincial Council is scheduled for September 2013 (good timing to promote Tamil voters to support LTTE proxy TNA) and theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  other is the forthcoming CHOGM in November 2013.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Instead of a fact finding mission of the progress made in the North & East, She will be looking for small loopholes and flaws to lambast Sri Lanka so that even at the last moment, there may be some countries like UK who would take decision to boycott CHOGM based on her fact finding mission. She may even try to influence from her UN head Office with fabricated negative reports to influence the CHOGM attendees. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ We should not forget that she is still holding the last straw and working in vengeance against Sri Lankan Government for having defeated her lovable baby the LTTE terrorist outfitƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  from Sri Lankan soil. TNA may be eagerly waiting to give her a carpet welcome for the services rendered up to date by her at the expense of her UN position bringing two resolutions against Sri Lanka.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  It may be really pricking in her eyes for seeing the tremendous development in the North & East in infrastructure, hospitals, schools, social developments and integration among three communities; how the uniformƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  clad boys and girls going to schools carrying books instead of guns which was conveniently ignored by Navi Pillay as the Commissioner of Human Rights ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  LTTE ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”sƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  childƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  conscription.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ When one peruses and analyses her past utterances, comments and various UN reports compiled by her on Sri Lankan issue, they had been totally irresponsible, unprofessional and biased and I am sure she will continue to act in the same attitude as she will never change her Tiger Stripes. The government should be mindful that she is visiting Sri Lanka with a hidden agenda not only as the UN rep on UNHRC but as an unofficial representative of the ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ worldwide LTTE rump. Therefore, DONƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢T TRUST HER. The Government should be vigilant and alert as she is a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Tigress in Sheep ClothingƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ coming here to scuttle the CHOGM and to extend indirect support for LTTE proxies at the NPC elections.

Must arrange a huge reception for this “Pillay”.

  2. S de Silva Says:

Thanks Malin Well Said! – I hope,as you say, the GoSL does have a competent plan to deal with her Visit and ensure that there is wide publicity of her as you say described as a “Tigress dressed as a Sheep”. but the key word here is our competency to do any of this, judging by the past competancy of our Politicians and Adminnistrators in similar matters! – S de Silva – London

  3. Fran Diaz Says:

Ms Navi Pillai said when she was first appointed to her UN post that her aim is to stop ‘institutionalised discrimination’. There is no inst. disc. in Sri Lanka. However, there is inst. disc. in India in the form of Caste discrimination, still going on in spite of the Indian Constitution forbidding it. She is visiting the wrong spot – she ought to visit Tamil Nadu.

THANK YOU, Malin Abeyatunga.!!…PERFECTLY PERFECT.. But there is this ongong PROBLEM TIGERS from India under disguise of LIOC corp: of INDIA, is demanding to acquire 107 gas stations from CPC…When will this END??

Are we all so DUMB to undrestand that INDIA’s GOAL is to annex Sri Lanka fully, before all this JUNK talk about 13th ammendment.

People are so engrossed in minor issues like GOVERNING, which should be done by the present GOVT, & they wate their energy on insignificant ONES, such as WHAT WILL INDIA THINK or DO, if we carry out governing our country to the best way we know HOW.

Even chairman of CPC agrees because of HEAVY DEBT load it carries, he believes that this is a good idea, to GIVE FULL CONTROL OF Gas stations to a FOREGN POWER WE HATE.

If a public corporation is loosing MONEY, FIND OUT WHY ?? FIRE THE chief, then others will fall in line, BE PROFITABLE or give these stations to be handled BY A SRI LANKAN PRIVATE SECTOR company. HAYLEYS come to my mind BUT I am out of touch with Lankan events.

AT NO COST we should give anything MORE, its a good IDEA to start supporting KASMIRIES, because this morning Colomba Page newspaper says that KASHMERIS are being subjugated, and even after catching the culprits, INDIA BLOCKED them being punshed.

If there is ANYTHNG that IRKS INDIA we should support them. NOW I feel at least readers & commentators of LANKAWEB should take this issue & demand OUR Mr. YAPA the Petroleum Minister & ask why he is so silent?

It us up to the lankan GOVT. to show some PATRIOTIC FEELINGS that involves our IMPORTANT assets. INDIA is trying so hard to OCCUPY every FACET of our life. ONLY few months ago, Lanka was talking about TAKING more assets of LIOC or the Tank farm. I am not so privy to the details. I hope with this announcement I am sure at least FEW WILL take some initiative, so that INDIA will NOT rule every aspect our lives.

Thank you, all perhaps SHENALI WADUGE, can add some pointers to this discussion..~.another expat who is out of touch~ GOD BLESS LANKA~J

JAYASIRI ! First, the Chairman of CPC should be kicked out. He appears to be hell bent on Indianizing Sri Lanka. What an IDIOTIC CLOWN IS HE ? It is his inefficiency that makes CPC run at a loss. So he thinks that the Indians can do better than him EH ? Imbecile of the first order.

  7. Fran Diaz Says:

All Essential Services (such water services, transport, energy {oil etc}, security, education, health care, etc) must be State run or at least mostly so, particularly in a small country like Sri Lanka. Or else, those who own the Essential Services will run the country !

Sri Lanka is called the SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF SRI LANKA and must live up to that high title.

Just as a point of interest re India’s vast Oil reserves in the Rajasthan area – This Oil Reserve is now handled by Cairn Oil (UK). Here are some extracts from the net on this venture and also about Cairn Oil :

    Re CAIRN OIL :
Cairn is one of Europe’s leading independent oil and gas exploration and development companies. Cairn has its headquarters in Edinburgh (Scotland) and operational offices in London (UK), Nuuk (Greenland), Stavanger (Norway) and Madrid (Spain).

    Re INDIA’S OIL :
Following a comprehensive review, the Rajasthan block’s resource potential was estimated at 7.3 bn boe gross in-place. There have been exploration upsides with the prospective resource base rising from an earlier estimate of 2.5 bn boe gross in-place to 3.1 bn boe gross in-place
    The Rajasthan Block
CAIRN India is the operator with 70% participating interest. Its joint venture (JV) partner, ONGC, has a 30% participating interest.
The block consists of three contiguous development areas: (i) Development Area (DA) 1, which comprises the Mangala, Aishwariya, Raageshwari and Saraswati (MARS) ; (ii) DA 2, consisting of the Bhagyam and Shakti ; and (iii) DA 3, having the Kaameshwari West.
At present, the block is producing 175,000 bopd, thanks to GoI approval for higher Mangala offtake of 150,000 bopd.
Some other within the block have also commenced production. The Bhagyam field started production on 19 January, 2012 and is currently producing at around 25,000 bopd. Saraswati began production on 27 May, 2011 and has produced over 75,000 barrels of oil till date. Raageshwari, which is primarily a gas field with marginal oil, also commenced production on 8 March, 2012 and is currently producing in excess of 250 bopd.
The Rajasthan project is crucial for the nation. Oil production from the project helps the country to reduce significant quantities of oil imports.

  9. Mr. Bernard Wijeyasingha Says:

If this was China such a person would not get any invitation. Unlike Sri Lanka China is very guarded about criticisms against her and Tibet. To date no western or UN representative has been allowed to make judgements on China. that is how power is exercised. It is still not too late to renege on this invitation to this crazy woman.

  10. AnuD Says:

She should not be allowed in Sri Lanka until CHOGM is over.

  11. Senevirath Says:

let NAVI come. we can ask Mervin silva to hand over her to Munneswaram for BILI POOJA. he can exchange her for a cow
