‘IF WE HAVE ARMS, IT’S FEDERALISM AND BEYOND’ – TNA-‘If we don’t have weapons we will get nothing’:

Suresh Premachandran, MP of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) said the Tamil people can begin talks on a federal solution only if ‘we have weapons.’
“We can talk going even beyond that. If we don’t have weapons we will get nothing,” he added.
He said this at the maiden election rally of the TNA in the campaign for the Northern Provincial Council (NPC) poll, held at the Mannar public esplanade with the participation of all TNA candidates contesting for the NPC, including NPC Chief Ministerial candidate C.V. Vigneswaran.
Parliamentarians Mavai Senthirajah was also present. TNA MP P. Ariyanendran addressing the gathering said the ‘struggle’ to find a solution for the Tamil people’s problems was continued by Selva after which a full blown armed conflict ensued.
“The armed conflict was continued by leader Prabhakaran. But today, we live on without anything,” he said.
“It is your duty to vote for the TNA and ensure its victory to fight for Tamils’ rights as well as to get what we want. Vote for us and we will be able to get what we require,” he said.
The media with a sense of foreboding criticised the actions of the TNA at a time the country has achieved peace and freedom after eradicating a 30 year war, a spokesmen for the government stated. Such sentiments as those articulated by the TNA have again created doubt and fear among the peace loving people in this country.
Therefore, the government urged the public to be cautious and be well aware of these efforts to be promoted by these extremist political groups in the future, through their political campaigns.

National question, national question. That’s the mantra of these ungrateful, treacherous
people. Never happy. want more and more and more. Sinhalese, in their own country, can’t
live in Colombo, the north or the east. These traitors
can live in other people’s countries without any fuss. No separate states.
These are weird people with two homelands. Nadu means country in Tamil. So anybody with a brain
can figure out where they belong. Tamil Nadu. Live in Sri Lanka, like you live in India, UK, Canada, etc. etc.
What’s the difference in Sri Lanka? You have no claim for other people’s country.
We don’t have a claim for Tamil Nadu.
Be grateful to the country which has given you so much. How many traitors we have given FREE EDUCATION
TO BE DOCTORS, LAWYERS, ENGINEERS, etc. etc. now fighting against the country which has given them so
much. ALL THE BEST FACULTIES IN UNIVERSITIES ARE FULL OF THEM. THERE ARE MORE A/L SCHOOLS IN JAFFNA THAN IN COLOMBO. Still national question, national question!
