If Royal College celebrates Islam Day – Why doesn’t Zahira College celebrate Buddhist Day?

ƒ”š‚ This is written on behalf of the many Buddhists whose voice is being taken away by politicians whoƒ”š‚ have fallen prey toƒ”š‚ the ‘Multicultural’ googly. The Muslims of late have found it a good excuse to play victim and use the power of the petrodollars that are used as carrots upon politicians to get their cunning way. Do Muslims respect and tolerate other religions? The answer to that is to take a good look at the Muslim nations of the world.
ƒ”š‚
How many Muslim nations treat other religions on par with Islam?
When Muslims headed by the Muslim Justice Minister go crying to the President why does he not ask what is the reciprocity of the Muslims to non-Muslims in the same quantum that they demand equality?
ƒ”š‚
If Royal College can have an Islam day shouldn’tƒ”š‚ Zahira College have a Buddhist Day too? Why is the education authorities not takingƒ”š‚ this up?ƒ”š‚ Why is it always only the needs of the Muslims that have to be met?
Its either what they prefer as food, drink or something else that always has to be given pride of place. But letsƒ”š‚ get something very straight Muslimsƒ”š‚ are not an indigenous native.ƒ”š‚ They came as traders and they were allowed to stay on the generosity of the Buddhist kings. They cannot be making demands. If someone can correct me if wrong, I do believe NO MUSLIMS OWNED LAND until the British gave them land ownership. This clearly denies them any right to be dictating how Sri Lanka runs its nation taking ONLY Muslim eating, drinking and other habits into prominence.
ƒ”š‚
Politicians should not be opportunists – they have allowed and given too much of room for Muslims to manipulate the country. People including the Muslims need to think of the damage these petrodollars are likely to do to the country. See the tragedy that has befallen the Middle East – all because of Saudi Arabia and not the US as most of us believe.
ƒ”š‚
Look around us – we see men in atrocious looking tribal suits, women like black ninjas – they may not be in other areas but they are a grossly sight in Colombo and this sight was not visible even 5 years back. So we notice the change and if we notice the change surely the politicians and officials have to be noticing it too… Did the politicians ever address Muslims in tribal wear as they do now – the most recent meeting with President was evident of how far the Muslims have been influenced by this new dress and it is not Islam to be dressed – this is a new fundamental dress type. are these people paid to be dressed so for who would in this heat dress in black silk, socks and shoes? And after dressing and behaving as they do they next say that they are being marginalized. Are Muslims not marginalizing themselves by their own behaviour.
ƒ”š‚
It is easy to see that the Hindus and Buddhists need to put the country in proper order but how can that happen when Hindus want to separate and the Buddhists are being misled by their own politicians. A message for the politicians is that by their greedy ways they are not only digging their graves but they are destroying their own religion – how worse could things be in that scenario.
ƒ”š‚
what will the education authorities do for the question asked? absolutely nothing just like the foreign ministry does absolutely nothing to protect and promote Buddhism in this predominatly Buddhist nation of ours.

women like black ninjas = YONIBILLO

“Surely the vilest of animals in Allah’s sight are those who disbelieve, then they would not believe. (8:55)”

“He does not love the unbelievers (30:45)”

“O ye who believe! Take not for friends unbelievers rather than believers: Do ye wish to offer Allah an open proof against yourselves? (4:144) ”

These are the reasons why the UNBELIEVERS’ festival is not celebrated by Muslims.

Yes multiculturalism and inter-faith are bullshit approaches

KING SENATATH SETTLED THEM. THEY CAN STAY HERE UNTIL WE SAY GO

BUT NO SINHALESE POLITICAN HAS A BACK BONE TO SAY THAT OR TO ASK THEM SHUT UP

Go to Israel, Saudi Arabia or Qatar and preach Christian gospel on a street corner and see what happens!!!

Religions will remain entrenched in the human consciousness as long as people cannot overcome their primitive fears including their own mortality. Warlord Muḥammad created Islam to grab power from the other religions in the Middle East at the time. Before turned to be a prophet for fun & profit, Muhammad – the merchant traveled quite widely & met Jews, Christians & Greeks, whose ideas emerged later in the inspiration he claimed to receive from Allah.

Temples & Churches have survived in Muslim countries for centuries…but they could not survive under Wahhabism. In Iran Jews live there & pray in their Synagogues. In Saudi Arabia there is no Church, Synagogues, Buddhist nor Hindu Temple is allowed. Churches & Synagogues were safe in Syria & Libya before the NATO began sending their Wahhabi Fanatics to kill innocent civilians.

Are the Hindu Colleges celebrating Wesak or Sinhala New Year?

“Are the Hindu Colleges celebrating Wesak or Sinhala New Year?”

    NO!

    They are WORSE than Zahira!

At least they teach in Sinhala medium at Zahira. We should appreciate that. At Hindu Colleges they teach in Tamil medium ONLY.

Nalliah, you say : “Religions will remain entrenched in the human consciousness as long as people cannot overcome their primitive fears including their own mortality”. How true !

Fear of Death, Suffering & Illness is Universal. We ought to do all we can to help each other alleviate these Fears.

A small structure in the human brain, the Amygdala, pushes the Fight or Flight mechanism, a primitive but necessary reaction to ensure our survival from perceived or real danger. A leader from any quarter in our over crowded world may have an over reaction to such perceived dangers and bring about wars. Meditation helps us subdue such unnecessary reactions. Universal Mediation Centres will surely help us all.
