President Mahinda Rajapaksa said that Sri Lanka would not bow down to international pressure or any threats of an international inquiry over alleged war crimes. -The country is free, independent and democratic,- he said, adding that -those living in glass houses should not throw stones at others-. -For over twenty long years, there was no access to the Northern Province which was under the terror regime of the LTTE- the President told a media briefing at the BMICH yesterday.

Addressing the media on the eve of the conclusion of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting 2013 which concludes today, President Rajapaksa said that there is no question of an international inquiry on Sri Lanka, because the Government has implemented its own mechanism to investigate into the purported war crimes and human rights issues.-The democratically elected Government has already implemented most of the recommendations of the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC) and the Special Commission of Inquiry, to investigate into the purported disappearances has already started its work,- he said when the media questioned Sri Lanka-â„¢s stance on the British Prime Minister David Cameron-â„¢s statement that if Sri Lanka failed to hold credible investigations he would press for an international inquiry.

-Neither the Government nor any others had any access to the Northern Province. During the final stages of the battle against terrorism, over 300,000 civilians who were kept as human shields by the LTTE crossed over to Government- controlled areas. The Sri Lankan army achieved the difficult task of clearing areas that were heavily mined by the LTTE, with the resettlement of the displaced people and provision of all infrastructure and livelihood facilities at a staggering expenditure of Rs.2.5 billion- the President said.

-During the LTTE terror regime especially the youth, were being killed every day in the North, South and the East. Now peace has been restored and they are living in harmony. The road network, railways, hospitals, government institutions and everything destroyed by the LTTE has been restored and almost 80 percent of the work is complete by the Government,- he said. -If I can achieve all these, why can-â„¢t we hold credible inquiries into purported war crimes and disappearances?-, the President questioned. He said that Sri Lanka has eminent persons capable of holding such inquiries and it was only a question of mutual trust.

-There was, no -channel-, to visit the Northern Province during the terror regime. Those levelling accusations, should listen to both sides the President said.

Commonwealth Secretary General Kamalesh Sharma, Prime Minister of St.Kits and Nevis Densil Douglas and Prime Minister of Samoa Tuilaepa Maliuelegai addressed the media conference on the achievements of the Colombo Commonwealth Summit and the far-reaching policy decisions taken on the challenges faced by smaller nations , with special focus on youth who comprised 30 percent of the Commonwealth.

As Shenali Waduge said elsewhere, let us NOT HAVE ANY Half-Hearted Solutions NOW! NONE but FULL-THROATED Complete Solutions!

    1. REPEAL the 13th Amendment
    2. DISMANTLE the Provincial Council System
    3. ELIMINATE Indian Involvement in Reconstruction & Rehabilitation efforts in the North & East
    4. REDUCE Indian Involvement and Investment in Sri Lanka’s economy
    5. END Military cooperation with India; they can’t and don’t help SRi Lanka with any weapons ANYWAY!
    6. SECURE Sri Lanka’s coastline with coast guard and naval bases within EYESIGHT of each other to protect Sri Lanka’s Maritime resources and PREVENT illegal immigration, gun running, and goods smuggling
    7. LAUNCH a thorough investigation of the CITIZENSHIP STATUS of the residents of Sri Lanka to IDENTIFY & DEPORT upto 1.6 MILLION ILLEGAL aliens from TAmil Nadu as indicated by the 2012 Census.
    8. ADOPT Ethnic Integration as National Policy with the goal of achieving a UNIFORM ETHNIC DISTRIBUTION nationwide, without REGIONAL ethno/religious concentrations.
    9. INCREASE the number of Armed Forces camps and Personnel in former LTTE-infected territories, PERMANENTLY SETTLE military personnel AND their FAMILIES in the North and East as part of Ethnic Integration, providing land, good hmes, schools, hospitals and other INFRASTRUCTURE to INCENTIVIZE PERMANENT SETTLEMENT by Sinhala people in these areas. In the Final Analysis, Ethnic Integration of this kind is the only permanent hope for peace and security of the people of Sri Lanka.

The END of CHOGM, and the CLEAR DISPLAY OF ENMITY by India, Tamil Nadu, and Western Nations with large Sri Lankan Eelamist Tamil Populations, has given the GOSL the PERFECT OPPORTUNITY to IMMEDIATELY IMPLEMENT the above 9-POINT PROGRAM in the National Interest.

    Carpe’ Diem! Seize the Day!

  2. Lorenzo Says:

Demand democracy within commonwealth decision making. ALL commonwealth decisions should be put to the PEOPLE of the commonwealth in a referendum. Will see who wins!!

Endia outside TN has 1 billion people = 700 million votes far higher than UK + Canada. MOST Endian people are NOT against SL.

  3. jayasiri Says:

Thank you Ananada & Lorenzo. I feel in addition to the 9 listed, WE NEED TO RID COLOMBO DISTRICT of Tamils & Muslims.
Once Colombo is emptied & then Sinhalese / Buddhists can have a peaceful life. If NOT Anglican, & other religious extremists will corrupt our citizens, by expanding their role in CONVERTING Sinhala Buddhists to FOREGN RELIGIONS.

No buisness establishment should be allowed in the vicinity of Colombo, Gampha , Piliyandala etc, that is why many people suffer due to HEALTH PROBLEMS associated with TOO MANY industrial expansion in the Colombo district.

Tamils have NO RIGHT whatsoever to live in Colombo, their place is North & if the Muslims let them most probably in the Easteren Province.

THESE ARE VERY IMPORTANT issues to keep undesirables away from a civilized city. Re: Other aspects I feel Ananada is dead right & we MUST INSIST on our President to do it, as fast as possible.

I understand INDIA wants a NOD from Lanka to buy EXPLORATION blocks in Mannar. NOW India has lost her advantage with LANKA. Our President should give these BLOCKS to any Asian country OTHER THAN INDIA,

I feel Vietnam, Thailand Malaysia & South Korea will do just fine. WE ALL SHOULD make sure President Rajapaksha get the CORECT ADVICE this time, in doing away with INDIAN STRANGLE HOLD of Sri Lanka…..

Thank you all & GOD BLESS OUR MOTHERLAND.. May the NOBLE TRIPLE GEMS guard & GUIDE us.all…… J

  4. Lorenzo Says:

    Absolutely Jayasiri.

Not a popular one but MUST be done in the long run. Otherwise the capital will be governed by Arabs and Endians according to ARABIC and ENDIAN intersts.

Once they capture the capital they create SLAVES.

    e.g. Colombians

    These are the biggest criminals.

  5. NAK Says:

jayasiri, are you agreeing with Ananda or contradicting him?
    In item 8.Ananda says
” ADOPT Ethnic Integration as National Policy with the goal of achieving a UNIFORM ETHNIC DISTRIBUTION nationwide, without REGIONAL ethno/religious concentrations”(which is correct approach)

And you advocate ethnic cleansing by saying “WE NEED TO RID COLOMBO DISTRICT of Tamils & Muslims”

I am amazed to see Lorenzo too agreeing. Ethnic cleansing is not only unpopular Lorenzo it is inhuman.

The easiest way to neutralize the Tamil Muslim majority in Colombo, if that is the problem you are referring to, is to expand the Colombo city limits to absorb the suburbs of Colombo in to city limits.
The government attempted this once, if I remember correctly, but pressure form within from the petty local government politicians put paid to that.
