The Global Tamil Forum and many of the other Tamil groups with whom you met as above, before going to the CHOGM, consist of LTTE membership who funded three decades of terrorism in Sri Lanka, who through their terrorism threatened the most basic human right, the right to life for 20 million Sri Lankans for three decades. They now operate under various other names to circumvent the LTTE proscription in UK
By permitting them to operate freely in UK without questioning their complicity to this gross violation of human rights for 20 million Sri Lankans for three decades and then asking Sri Lanka to investigate allegations that were initiated and orchestrated by these very same groups, you are being very unfair to the whole isuue of human rights violations & paying scant regard to the suffering of 20 millions that suffered so badly for three decades.
If there is any investigation that needs to take place it is to investigate the role of these persons in the said funding and support of terrorism in Sri Lanka through other means as well such as through propaganda . If found guilty appropriate responses should be instituted.
We urge you Mr. Prime Minister to initiate and institute these measures .
