There’s nothing wrong with anyone buying a hotel with honest money and in a fair and a decent manner. This goes for building houses and commercial ventures.
Government and it’s officials put unjust restrictions, some time deliberately to strangle private development by absurd planning laws.
Recently a big hotel was opened in the hill capital where it was bought from another unfortunate owner who could any planning to build there while someone powerful was able to do what he want and there was restrictions if it was above Maligawa or not. That goes for hundreds of houses that was built while the innocent law abiding are deprived of building on the lands they have acquired from their hard earned to build their houses.

What is the biggest hotel in the country that serves MOST EXPENSIVE food on ALL WORKING DAYS to 225 people FREE?
(Clue: It stopped serving ham, bacon, salami, pork this year. ONLY halal meat is served. Annual BEEF consumption is over 1 MT. Annual ulundu consumption over 3 MT.)
What is the most expensive hotel? Malu Malu Resort (from where I have been). Guess who owns it?
In what year did the ministry of defence get into the hotel business? 2010.
