At a news conference held a couple of days ago, former President Chandrika had claimed to the war victory saying, that 75 per cent of the war was finished during her regime. If so, why did she stay for nine years to announce this ? It is true that the Jaffna Fort was captured during her tenure. But that is not 75 per cent. She had also said that the LTTE retreated to the Jungles and their presence was insignificant. Is this the reason why she offered Prabhakaran the North and the East for ten years on a platter. And according to her, the LTTE then was ´weak´. But a suicide bomber tried to put an end to her and she was saved by the skin of her teeth.
It was during CBK´s tenure that the LTTE bombed the Central Bank, Kolonnawa oil installation, Katunayake Air Port, Colombo Telecom and the Central Bus stand. During her period nearly 12,000 soldiers had been killed by the Tigers. Having molly-coddled the terrorists during her two terms now she has joined the anti- war group and she is blowing her own trumphet. She once declared that her children, living in the UK , after seeing the ´faked´ videos of Channel 4 had said that they are ashamed to call themselves Sinhalese. And she seemed proud in saying this.
Past Presidents including CBK were led the garden path by the Tigers. They failed miserably in finishing the war. However, President Rajapakse eliminated them and salvaged Sri Lanka from terrorists, despite the hard time given to him by the west.

You misunderstood her statement, she said she finished 75% of the war for Probaharan and that‘s why LTTE was ever powerful and had more land under their control at that time. Mahinda started with 25%.

We all know Chandrika’s claim is false and is meant to mislead the voters in rural areas, at the forthcoming elections.
However, if we assume Chandrika is telling the truth, then Sarath Fonseka and others who ended the conflict with LTTE, have contributed only 25% to the defeat of Tiger terrorists.
Sarath Fonseka, owes the masses an explanation.

The credit for winning the war (political) goes to JR/LA, RP/RW, DBW, CBK/AR and MR/My3.
If the war was won from 2005-2009 only, what was HASALAKA GAMINI, FAZLEY LAPHIR, DENZIL KOBBEKADUWA, JANAKA PERERA doing before that?

CBK’s treachery goes far beyond ignorance. Raised at the St Bridget’s Convent she is a Sinhala Buddhist hater. She joined up with Vijaya Kumaranatunge and colluded with the LTTE. Even after this traitor’s death she continued on his Chrisitian / Catholic Agenda to divide Sri Lanka. Hers and V K’s photo with Prabhakaran says volumes for their affiliations and persuasions.
If not for his timely death Vijaya Kumaranatunge could have even become the President of Sri Lanka , brought into power by an ignorant Sinhala Buddhist vote, just in the way Choura Regina became President of Sri Lanka twice.
Very few people know the power behind Vijaya Kumaranatunge and now behind the Choura Ragina. It is nothing but the Catholic Church!
Mahinda Rajapakse doesn’t know when he will be stabbed in the back by the Catholic Church! If that comes to pass that will be his folly and epitaph!

Lorenzo is completely wrong in his assertion that MY3, CBK, JR, Ranil etc were responsible for winning the war. In fact Ranil starved the armed forces of vital resources to fight the war and all leaders prior to Rajapakse simply capitulated to foreign pressure and stopped the arm,ed forces from defeating the Tiger terrorists. Hasalake Gamini, Kobbekaduwa and others were war heroes and not war winners. The war was undoubtably won by the 4 armed forces ably coordinated by Gotabaya Rajapakse under the brave leadership of Mahinda Rajapakse, who did not succumb to foreign pressure unlike JR, Chandrika etc. I wonder why Lorenzo even mentions Maithripala or MY3, though he was just only one of many ministers in the government but had absolutely no input to the war effort. It seems Lorenzo is playing politics batting for MY3 and trying to dilute the achievements of MR and Gotabaya.
