Ven. Galaboda Aththe Gnanasara Thera, the General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) organization has accused former Justice Minister and Sri Lanka Muslin Congress (SLMC) Leader Rauff Hakeem of being a political prostitute” who stood up against the government at all the Presidential elections.

Gnanasara Thera said that Rauff Hakeem had defected to the opposition at the Presidential elections in 2005 and 2010, however, later joined the government once again. This time he is halfway through, and repeated the same move,” he added.

Gnanasara Thera also charged that Rauff Hakeem has signed a secret and harmful agreement with former President Chandrika Kumaratunga. The BBS urges the relevant parties to disclose the terms of this agreement.”

The General Secretary also accused Hakeem of being behind an alleged conspiracy by leaking evidences to the international community against the island nation, with support of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA).

The government had come under heavy criticism in past few weeks over several issues by former Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka. But he kept a blind eye on these incidents, when he was a cabinet Minister, Gnanasara Thera adeed.

The SLMC quitted the government and announced it will support Common Candidate Maithripala Sirisena, yesterday (28). On 24 December, the BBS announced it will provide direct and unconditional support to President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the forthcoming Presidential election.

Ven. Galaboda is another divisive element in the island politics

  2. Ratanapala Says:

There is only a few days left to the Presidential Election. All those who love Sri Lanka should go to the country side and appeal to the majority Sinhala Buddhists to vote for Mahinda Rajapakse. There is no point in depending on minorities. At the centre there should be a government built on an unshakeable Sinhala Buddhist majority. Sri Lanka cannot go back to the Thondaman era when he called the shots or to the era when Amirthlingam called the shots or at worse to the Prbhakaran called the shots.

And now we have this unsavoury character – Rauf Hakim a muslim fundamentalist, duplicitous and divisive character and he should never be allowed to call the shots in Sri Lanka now or ever.

  3. Marco Says:

Ratnapala you say “All those who love Sri Lanka should go to the country side and appeal to the majority Sinhala Buddhists to vote for Mahinda Rajapakse.”

I assume by that you feel that President Rajapakse will best serve the Sinhala Buddhists in his third term.

  4. Samanthi Says:

I agree with Ratanapala. The need of the day is to defeat all local and foreign conspiracies against the Mother Lanka by re-electing President Mahinda Rajapakse for one more term. We need a strong leader who doesn’t bow down to any pressure even if he is threatened to be sent to the electric chair in Hague.

On another note, today I heard one the most interesting and important messages of this entire election campaign.

“President declares: Defectors won’t be taken back

SLFP should take blame for sorry state of affairs – JVP

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has declared that those who switched their allegiance to Maithripala Sirisena’s camp will not be taken back to the SLFP-led UPFA.

The warning was given at a public meeting held at Matale last Friday in the wake of several members of parliament, provincial councils and local government bodies joining the Opposition.

The President emphasised that defectors wouldn’t be accepted again under any circumstances.

Meanwhile, JVP MP Sunil Handunetti said that whoever won the next general election, the Constitution should be amended to prevent crossovers.”

I think the President should have given this message a long time ago.

Hope he will keep his promise and not taken back defectors specially; Nandana G, Hirunika P, Naveen D,
Digambaran, Sathasivam, Rishad B. Ameer A and Rauf Hakeem!

I agree with all of you”President will not take back the defectors” correct. Those who left were not popular guys. They were with Mahinda for their own benefits not to work for the country or to it’s people. Actually Hakim is a prostitute. I was very angry when the President appointed him as our Justice Minister. When we have good Buddhist experienced politicians in the Govt why we give this kind of important Ministry to a person like Hakim who hasn’t supported the President in previous elections? He shouldn’t have done that.

I hope this time the President will give such important portfolio’s to the correct persons. BBS supporting the president is a very good sign. We need all Buddhists to support our President. We should not allow few dirty harry’s to play with our country and do things which threatens the sovereignty of our beloved country.

The Bandit Queen+Stupid Ranil+Hate Mongers such as Rathanaya and Champaka+Maru Sira+Awamangalaya+PachaBahu+Dentist Rajitha+Rattle snake Karu+JVP snakes+Prostitute Hakim+all the rest in the Opposition has to search for a place to hide after the election. Foreign Embassies are the safest place for them because they will give them a gold medal+a certificate +a ticket to America with millions of green bucks. Adios gringos!
